A Cultivator in the World Dominated By Awakeners -
Chapter 41: Summon the Undead Emperor
Chapter 41: Summon the Undead Emperor
When he read the words "3000 Special Protein", Oliver’s eyes widened.
’Another blessing falls into my lap,’ he thought.
His heart pounded with excitement. Even though his actions could easily be called robbery, he no longer cared about morals or consequences—what he had found was truly worth it.
In the Chaotic World, some things caught the attention of Cultivators but not Awakeners—or the other way around.
But that couldn’t be said for Special Protein.
This was something both sides desired, due to its ability to enhance the body just through consumption, without the need for weight training or intense workouts.
It was said that consuming 1 Special Protein would increase a person’s body weight by 1 kilogram.
3000 Special Protein? That was equivalent to 3000 kilograms of body mass.
This wouldn’t dramatically change someone’s figure—in fact, it would enhance their physique, whether male or female, as the function of protein is to shape and refine the body.
With such a massive increase in body mass, a person’s physical strength, their punches and kicks, would naturally become far more powerful as well.
Of course, a normal human couldn’t just swallow Special Protein. They needed to be either a Cultivator or an Awakener first.
Otherwise, their body might become unmanageable—without a strong Will, they’d be unable to control themselves.
Taking a small amount might not be an issue. But if someone’s body weight increased by 200 or 300 kg, it’s likely they wouldn’t be able to move at all.
The rarity of food containing Special Protein made it no different than spiritual pills. Even among monster eggs, it had to be from special creatures. Once they became monsters, their meat didn’t necessarily contain any Special Protein at all.
No wonder that guy looked so unwilling, Oliver thought.
Just as the thought crossed his mind, the man’s portal reappeared, and he stepped out with an extremely grim expression.
He didn’t seem affected by the loss of his hand—his mind was clearly overwhelmed with rage.
"Give me back my ring!" he shouted at Oliver.
In response, Oliver casually tossed the ring to him.
He didn’t mind returning it—but the man’s expression only darkened.
It was empty now.
"You’d better head home and get that hand treated," Oliver told him calmly, appearing right in front of him—and this time kicked him harder back into his portal.
It was a blow powerful enough that the man would likely struggle to even stand.
The man might have been Level 8, but he was already exhausted. He had used up most of his strength fleeing, and with one arm gone, there was no way he could fight anytime soon.
Oliver turned his gaze back to the white swan, still under siege from the three undead.
It was thrashing around wildly, spinning in place with its wings outstretched to attack.
However, the evil spirits inside its head were clearly messing with its concentration—so it couldn’t land any hits on the three Undead Kings, who continued attacking from range using Death Energy.
Oliver paused for a moment before stepping forward—appearing beneath the swan’s massive body.
Whoosh!
He spun as well, slashing his blade while scattering void particles.
The result was a spinning spiritual slash, shaped like a growing circular blade with layers of void particles.
It cut into each of the swan’s legs, severing them—causing its body to collapse to the ground.
Before the body could land on him, Oliver took another step and appeared above it.
Whoosh!
He slashed again—this time at one of its wings.
The resulting arc carried void particles, slicing clean through the swan’s wing, detaching it completely.
If he had really wanted to, he could’ve decapitated the swan in one strike—but he held back, leaving the final blow for Ivy, so she could level up.
He halted his attacks, fearing that if he cut the other wing too, the swan might die on the spot.
’Basically, I can handle monsters a few levels above me with ease because my techniques are dangerous. My real challenge... may only be Boss Monsters or beings stronger than them,’ he thought.
Now stepping out of battle, he returned his focus to the golden egg inside his Observation Ring.
His desire to consume it was overwhelming.
As he observed the egg, the swan finally died.
The three Undead Kings that had surrounded it stripped away much of its flesh with their Death Energy.
The moment it died, a massive surge of pressure radiated from the undead—all flowing from Ivy, whose eyes were now glowing an even deeper red.
"All of you—we stop here," she suddenly said to her team, surprising them.
Henry Wilson responded, "Ivy, we’ve only been in the Chaotic World for a few hours. Aren’t we stopping too early?"
"There’s something else I need to do. Grandpa—head back first," she replied, summoning her portal.
The others didn’t dare argue.
One by one, they disconnected from their undead hosts and stepped into the portal.
Henry glanced at Oliver, slowly realizing that now, only his granddaughter and her boyfriend would remain.
He wasn’t sure what they were going to do, but he hoped they wouldn’t be reckless enough to fool around in a place this dangerous.
Ivy first retrieved the Monster Core from the swan.
"Here, baby—keep it," she said, handing it to Oliver.
With no one else around, she felt comfortable calling him baby.
Oliver accepted the core, then pulled out a cup of Magical Energy Drink.
"Rest up first," he told her, offering the cup.
"What’s this?" Ivy asked, surprised at the high-quality liquid inside.
Just one cup like that was extremely expensive.
But when she saw Oliver’s calm, reassuring gaze, she didn’t refuse.
Perhaps she hadn’t even realized that he’d robbed the man who had been chased by the swan—and that the man hadn’t returned since.
Ivy began drinking. The potion caused her body to radiate a soft glow.
She wasn’t injured, just low on energy—so Oliver didn’t need to use Life Force on her.
The value of the Magical Energy Drink became immediately apparent. Within seconds of drinking, Ivy was glowing with renewed strength—clearly ready to fight again.
"Did you reach Level 10?" Oliver asked.
"Yes. I can now summon the Undead Emperor," she replied.
As she spoke, she dismissed all her previous undead.
Oliver waited, intrigued—he wanted to try synchronizing with the Emperor first, even though he couldn’t achieve full fusion yet.
He was simply curious—wondering if the sensation could give him insight into the Absolute Fusion Technique.
At that moment, Ivy closed her eyes, deeply focused.
Moments later, an immense dark cloud appeared above them, rumbling so loud the air itself shook.
Just like before, Oliver thought, recalling the time Ivy had awakened—when the same kind of cloud appeared over their school.
Only this time, the pressure was much more intense.
Oliver could feel genuine danger from it.
If a King Undead was still ordinary, then an Emperor Undead was something else entirely—it was like the sovereign of the undead.
