A Crazy Love Proposal
Chapter 242 - 242 128 Cross-Server Chat

Chapter 242: Chapter 128 Cross-Server Chat Chapter 242: Chapter 128 Cross-Server Chat Yun Yuwan had tried to reason with him loudly but couldn’t help breaking into laughter.

She was laughing while trying to restrain herself from continuing the argument, still wanting to maintain a serious face, “Who says this handprint is mine? Can’t you properly recall where this handprint actually came from?”

Wen Yangzhi watched her, she didn’t seem to be lying.

But the handprint couldn’t have appeared out of nowhere.

Obviously, he wouldn’t specifically remember whether there was a handprint on a book he borrowed from ten years ago, such an insignificant detail.

Wen Yangzhi wanted to let the matter slide.

But suddenly an image flashed in his mind, a little girl with curly hair, not natural curls, seemed like she’d curled it to look pretty, suddenly bumping into him, picking up and pressing a handprint on his book.

Wen Yangzhi suddenly grabbed her wrist to compare it with the handprint on the book’s cover.

Looking carefully, the fingerprints were indeed identical, matching each finger.

He said slowly and ambiguously, “So you’ve been a dirty kid since the beginning.”

Yun Yuwan, seeing that he wasn’t explaining and instead framing her, said unhappily, “Who is the dirty kid?”

He didn’t answer, just glanced over the messy room.

Yun Yuwan suddenly felt a bit guilty.

Wen Yangzhi released her hand and stuffed the book into her hands, “This handprint is yours.”

She must have been thirteen then.

Yun Yuwan had never snooped through his room before, so she retorted with confidence, “Nonsense, I’ve never touched it!”

He reminded her at his leisure, “You were thirteen when you bumped into someone without looking, and touched someone’s book.”

Yun Yuwan subconsciously retorted, “I never bumped into—”

Before she could finish, Wen Yangzhi spoke up, “Suzhou River bank.”

The Suzhou River is a section of the Huangpu River.

Yun Yuwan wanted to continue, but her voice abruptly stopped.

She lived near Nara East Road, and at the age of thirteen, she was always going to after-school classes on Beijing East Road, walking past the Suzhou River every day to get to class.

In her hazy memory, she had bumped into a very handsome brother once.

What that brother actually looked like, she couldn’t quite remember, but she did recall bumping into a handsome guy because he had left a deep impression on her.

He was so handsome that she couldn’t forget about him for months.

The kind you’d swoon over at just one glance, the kind that if a young girl experiencing her first crush met this guy multiple times, she’d likely have a secret crush on him for her entire youth.

Yun Yuwan looked at that handprint, and pressed her own hand against it, it really was an exact match.

Over all these years, her hand hadn’t changed much; she’d grown ten centimeters taller.

She looked at Wen Yangzhi incredulously, then back at the handprint.

So, was she now together with that very handsome brother?

Wen Yangzhi watched her, and when Yun Yuwan looked up at him again, her eyes changed, filled with both glee and coquettishness; it was the look she gave when she was eyeing him greedily, wanting to snuggle up to him.

Wen Yangzhi saw right through her.

Her suddenly gentle voice was flirtatious, “So you are that very handsome brother.”

The contrast in her before and after made Wen Yangzhi want to laugh, he looked at her face and asked deliberately, “What very handsome brother?”

Seeing that he seemed not to remember clearly, she quickly said, “It was when I was on my way to class and going to be late, and bumped into someone this tall.”

She raised her hand to the height of Wen Yangzhi’s head, “Very handsome, and sort of looked mixed-race.”

She suddenly realized, “You are French-Chinese mixed-race!”

Wen Yangzhi teased her as if watching a play, “Remembered? Still recall it was a very handsome brother.”

So her crush started from childhood, consistent over ten years, Yun Yuwan has been boy-crazy since she was little.

Yun Yuwan also hadn’t expected such a wonderful twist, to end up with that handsome guy she thought she’d only meet once in her lifetime.

She used to think it was a pity when remembering him before, but it turned out to be Wen Yangzhi.

What a pity, there was absolutely no room for regret.

She giggled, and Wen Yangzhi knew by her expression that nothing was amiss.

He looked down at her bare feet on the table, “Come down.”

She didn’t come down but instead pressed up against him to ask, “Did you really need this book at the time?”

He was unmovable, “Couldn’t buy it domestically, was an out-of-print book, so I could only borrow it from someone.”

Yun Yuwan thought about him having to borrow it back then and felt a bit embarrassed, “Then what did you do?”

He was expressionless, “Compensate me now.”

Little did Wen Yangzhi know, Yun Yuwan suddenly turned coquettish, with a shy but insistent approach, she leaned forward and pecked on his face, her heart brimming with affection as she said,

“If I have to compensate you, then I’ll compensate you.”

She also quietly muttered to herself in a sweet tone, “Such a cunning man.”

Wen Yangzhi, who was abruptly kissed without warning after just mentioning compensation, “…”

But he said nothing, just touched the spot where she kissed and gazed at her with deep eyes.

Without a word, Wen Yangzhi simply accepted it, deciding that what he had said meant to accompany him, indulging her whims and pampering this little silly girl.

Yun Yuwan suddenly drew closer again, wrapping her arms around his neck, pressing her lips to his thin ones, their lips meeting, suddenly bringing an intimacy that coursed through countless tendrils, making one crave deeper engagement.

Wen Yangzhi hadn’t yet pinned her down for a deep kiss.

She turned her face away bashfully,

“If you want a kiss, just kiss me already, I just thought a peck on the cheek was more innocent.”

Only then did Wen Yangzhi realize,

that his face touching was misinterpreted as dissatisfaction with where she had kissed him.

Wen Yangzhi: “…”

But still, he said nothing and let her tease him.

With any other partner, it was hard for him to imagine how she would get along.

Lucky for her, it was him, so he wouldn’t let her embarrass herself.

Yun Yuwan clambered onto him, “Alright, since you’re trying so hard to make peace today, I won’t be mad anymore, now hold me.”

Wen Yangzhi held out both hands, empty, as there was no need for him to hold her since she was already clinging to him.

She was grinning proudly, as if she had scored a great deal, “Handsome, you were this good-looking before too, eh? The first time I saw you, I thought you were of mixed heritage, but when I saw you for the first time in Wen Garden, I didn’t have that thought at all.”

He replied in a low voice, “I don’t look as much like that with age.”

When he was a child, his eyes were a darker shade of blue.

Yun Yuwan was secretly delighted.

Indeed, her taste had never changed; she always liked the likes of Wen Yangzhi, whether looking at his photo with an otter or meeting him before, she always felt a strong attraction.

The damn man had grown right into her sense of aesthetics.

In the future, she might even like an eighty-year-old Wen Yangzhi.

Wen Yangzhi felt something nibbling at his earlobe, it was Yun Yuwan.

She fumbled around on him, “Wen Yangzhi, I really want to marry you and see what you look like as a husband.”

Holding firm, he replied indifferently and heartlessly, “You might rather see what I look like exhausted to death first.”

His gaze fell upon the room, a mess as if it had been ransacked, and he couldn’t stand another minute of it.

He had only been gone a few minutes before coming upstairs, only to find she had made such a mess in the blink of an eye.

Yet she was embarrassed, annoyed, and laughing secretly, “You’re speaking lewd again. It’s not like I’m the one making you tired.”

Wen Yangzhi was speechless about her bizarre thought process, but he laughed lightly instead, “Get down, and let’s talk once the room is tidied.”

She refused to come down, wrapping her legs around his waist, her calves resting on his hips, pouting and lazily protesting, “I don’t want to clean up, I’m already tired from making this mess.”

“Get down, I’ll tidy up,” he said, his voice flat.

Finally, she stepped down, watching Wen Yangzhi put everything back in place and call in the domestic help to clean up together.

Yun Yuwan sat on the bay window eating ice cream while watching him tidy up.

Wen Yangzhi was patient indeed, not scolding her after tidying up but simply asking her to come down from the bay window, as it wasn’t safe sitting there.

She still came over playfully and chatted with him with a giggly smile, “No wonder they say there’s no such thing as bad land, only oxen worked to death.”

“Yes, you can’t be cultivated poorly, just work me to death and then find another,” he responded without lifting his head as he washed his hands.

She reached out and touched Wen Yangzhi’s buttocks, oblivious to her own licentiousness, and looked at him with an innocently naive expression, “Let’s see if you’re too tired to die.”

Wen Yangzhi was almost laughing now, managing to ask her with a composed and teasing tone, “That eager, are you?”

Without a trace of shame, she replied, “Eager, yeah.”

Wen Yangzhi didn’t answer, dried his hands with a towel, and suddenly lifted her by the waist onto the washbasin countertop with such force and smoothness, that he lifted her in one go without pause.

She felt a tingling sensation crawling up her spine like ants, yet she held back her impulse to ask him,

“Aren’t we fated? How does that saying go, ‘a match made in heaven’?”

His eyes were dark and deep, “You talk too much.”

Yun Yuwan chuckled, “What did you think the first time you saw me, did you find me cute?”

He sneered lightly, “What’s so cute about a little kid?”

“I’m not cute?” She immediately turned to look in the mirror above the sink, and confirmed confidently, “I’m super cute!”

His gaze drifted to her hair, “But you don’t have curly hair now.”

Surprised and pleased, she exclaimed, “You remember I had curly hair back then?”

She touched her own hair, sharing her joy with him, “It was permed. At that time, all the girls in my class were envious of how beautifully I had it done. For a while, many students in our grade followed suit and tried to get the same curls.”

She became smug, “I even drew it with a pencil and went to the salon to let the hairstylist perm it according to my drawing. None of theirs turned out as good as this original version.”

Wen Yangzhi didn’t really remember what she looked like back then, but that dirty little kid indeed resembled a doll.

Just too filthy.

“Didn’t you wash your hands when you were little?”

She had her reasons, “I was in a rush to get to class and didn’t have time, okay? I’d wash them when I got to the cram school.”

Wen Yangzhi just found her endearing, thinking that if he had known then that it would come to this, he should have taken a better look at her face, seeing what she looked like as a child.

Probably an even cuter version of her current self, maxed out.

He chuckled softly, his broad hand supporting her lower back.

Yun Yuwan began to gloat again, “Too bad you didn’t take a good look back then. I was especially cute, and I even had bunny teeth, which are gone now after getting them straightened.”

He teased her, but mercilessly countered, “When have you ever not thought yourself cute?”
