A Crazy Love Proposal
Chapter 150 - 150 86 Endure Hardship and Toil

Chapter 150: Chapter 86 Endure Hardship and Toil Chapter 150: Chapter 86 Endure Hardship and Toil She laughed so hard she couldn’t suppress the corners of her mouth and softly chided, “Wen Yangzhi, how can you be like this now?”

“What am I doing?” His handsome face remained expressionless.

“Aren’t you usually stubborn?” she responded, both sweetly and shyly, “Why suddenly so smooth-talking?”

He didn’t say much, his voice cold, “I really miss you.”

His voice was devoid of emotion; Yun Yuwan even imagined him flirting with her with a poker face.

But he really did miss her.

Yun Yuwan was so embarrassed she feared her phone’s sound would be overheard, and she said hesitantly, “I know, don’t say it anymore.”

Yet she secretly rejoiced.

Wen Yangzhi missed her.

Wen Yangzhi would miss her.

Holding the phone, she whispered, “I miss you too.”

Yun Yuwan’s voice, sweet and soft, filtered through the phone to his ear, barely alleviating the persistent nagging feeling of longing, akin to ants crawling over him.

Yet he was unflustered, reminding her flatly, “Come home for dinner tonight.”

“Okay.” She was overjoyed and unconsciously started fiddling with the leaves of a plant in front of her.

Wen Yangzhi suddenly brought up something unrelated, “Remember to wear a skirt.”

Her mind filled with question marks, “Why wear a skirt?”

His cold, slender hands rested on the railing, flicking a lighter against the wooden barrier. Directly across, in the viewers’ gallery, the formal award ceremony took place, covered by numerous mainstream media, with distinguished middle-aged individuals presenting a facade of harmony and friendliness.

Yet, he managed to say something utterly inappropriate:

“I want to touch.”

She instantly remembered how last time, blatantly while the whole family was around, he had reached under the table and stroked her thigh through her skirt.

Yun Yuwan retorted with disdain, “Ew…You’re so perverted, I don’t want to talk to you anymore.”

He casually remarked, “If you think this is perverted, you’re in for a tough time ahead.”

“What tough time?” she inquired.

Wen Yangzhi tucked his other hand into his trouser pocket, “We have a lot of time, you’ll see.”

She huffed softly, yet tacitly accepting, “Whatever.”

Wen Yangzhi’s gaze lowered, a faint smile on his lips but his voice still as tranquil as still water, “I’ll come and get you later.”

Her smile never left her face.

Wen Yangzhi hung up the phone, then sent a message: “I’ll be back by 5 PM.”

It’s 4:30 PM now, she had just enough time to hurry home.

Yun Yuwan sent him a message: “just do it.”

But she didn’t realize,

she missed one letter.

What Wen Yangzhi received was:

just do i

Upstairs at the award ceremony, Wen Yangzhi’s normally calm brows slowly furrowed as he stared intently at the message she sent.

just

do i

Yun Yuwan was becoming bolder.

Half an hour later, Yun Yuwan was already home and had changed into a skirt.

Seeing Wen Yangzhi return home, Yun Yuwan deliberately stayed upstairs, watching him.

As Wen Yangzhi ascended the stairs, she ran into her room.

Wen Yangzhi, while climbing the stairs, began removing his watch, his long cold fingers weaving through the leather strap, unbuckling and pulling it off, and pushed the door open, “What, don’t you recognize me after four hours?”

Yun Yuwan stood by the bed, dramatically shrinking her shoulders, “I’ve always been timid, afraid to rush up and passionately kiss the man I like.”

Timid.

Wen Yangzhi laughed at her speechlessness, tossed the watch on the table, walked over, and cupped her cheeks in his warm hands. Her embrace around his neck felt like an intense breeze, all breathed in his bold and crisp scent.

He directly lifted her, tossing her onto the bed, withdrew a silk scarf, beneath it faint red marks she had made—faint but visible close up. He threw his coat on the floor and pressed down on her, his hot breath instantly engulfing her, one hand reaching for her thigh.

Yun Yuwan was utterly shocked, “Why do you come straight home and do this?”

Wen Yangzhi, devoid of any expressive waves, categorically stated, “Didn’t you tell me to come?”

“When did I tell you to come?” Yun Yuwan was even more shocked.

Even if she was eager, she wouldn’t have let him come as soon as she got home.

Wen Yangzhi’s frost-white nose, placed so sharply and sensually low, made her desire his closeness, his lightly pink thin lips moved slightly:

“You sent me the message yourself.”

“What message did I send you?” She truly was confused.

He took out his phone from his pocket, tapped a few times with his elongated fingers, handed her the phone, and held her hand, letting her see, “Nannan, take a look for yourself.”

Yun Yuwan looked down at the screen, and upon close inspection,

realized the intended just do it had one letter missing.

It had become just do i.

Yun Yuwan’s pupils dilated, staring at the close Wen Yangzhi, “No, I meant to send just do it.”

Wen Yangzhi, indifferent, embraced her waist from behind, his chin resting on her delicate white shoulder, “It’s all the same.”

Yun Yuwan puzzled, “What do you mean ‘It’s all the same’?”

Wen Yangzhi, wrapping her hands, through her fingers turned off the screen, pulled out the phone, and placed it on the bedside table, “Even if you hadn’t sent it, I was planning to do this anyway.”

She murmured back, “Why?”

He clarified, “I just said I missed you.”

Yun Yuwan couldn’t help but challenge his brazen logic, “Just because you miss someone, you must do something about it?”

He, unrepentant, retorted, “If you miss them, why wouldn’t you do something?”

Yun Yuwan found herself enveloped in his embrace, unable to pull away, “What kind of logic is that?”

He unfastened the clasp behind her with one hand, pinching both sides together, “The logic that the delicate girl must learn hardship, hoping one day you’ll become resilient.”

She covered her chest with her hands, tried to lean to the side, but Wen Yangzhi firmly held her waist, “I don’t want to talk to you anymore; you’re so freakish.”

“There’s still half an hour left.” He simply reminded her mercilessly.

The late-returning birds chirped outside the window, perching in pairs on the branches, nuzzling their heads against each other. Their wings brushed against each other’s backs, feathers intertwining.

Half past five.

Yun Yuwan sat on the edge of the bed, somewhat dazed, her voice soft and tender, her cheeks flushed with color, “I just remembered something.”

Wen Yangzhi ignored her, getting off the bed directly.

She worried, “How are we going to manage when it’s time for the ancestor worship?”

He picked up the long dress he had thrown off the bed, utterly unmoved, “What, should we let our ancestors watch too?”

Her face flared up, “No… not let the ancestors watch… What did you tell them about me during the worship?”

Unexpectedly, Wen Yangzhi was completely indifferent, “Just act as if it never happened.”

She couldn’t help but worry, “How can we act as if it never happened, that’s not how things are done.”

He spoke nonsense with a flat expression, his dense eyelashes drooping, “One day I’ll take you to the altar, and you can tell our ancestors I’ve changed my mind; seeing you just unleashes my beastly nature, and I can’t resist you.”

She remembered how solemn and indifferent he was during the ancestor worship, utterly serious as if he was devoid of emotions, exuding the aura of someone who straddled both legal and underworld authority. He seemed like someone not to be trifled with.

And now he was completely a different person.

Feeling both shy and timid, she murmured a soft complaint, “Wen Yangzhi is crazy.”

He didn’t even look at her, “Wen Yangzhi is not crazy.”

She challenged, standing her ground, “Then what is it?”

He was emotionless as he put on his shirt, “Wen Yangzhi loves you.”

She couldn’t hold back a laugh and buried her face in the pillow, her words muffled, “Why are you like this?”

He came over, helped her up, and draped her dress over her head, pulling the garment down, “Hand.”

Yun Yuwan slipped her hand into the sleeve.

He quietly said, “This one.”

She slid her other hand into the other sleeve.

Wen Yangzhi, with his head bowed and almost embracing her, pulled the zipper on her back up to the top.

She breathed in the scent of his hair, a faint hint of mint, fresh and clean, each strand distinctly in place. He often appeared with his hair slicked back without any trace of gel, and sometimes a few stray strands would fall slightly over his forehead.

It seemed as if his hair naturally stayed back—just a spray of mousse, a casual sweep of his hand, and his hair would stay put, showing off his forehead, looking mature yet imbued with desire, naturally without the deliberate greasiness some men had.

While Yun Yuwan was still pondering, Wen Yangzhi’s hand slipped in to adjust her, his strong touch brushing against the softness, sending a tingling current all through her body.

Her first reaction was to hastily say, “No, no more.”

Wen Yangzhi paused his movements, chuckling.

Yun Yuwan then realized he was just adjusting her poorly fitted attire.

Her ears turned red.

Wen Yangzhi said no more, tidied up, and went downstairs first.

When Yun Yuwan came downstairs later, she just overheard Wen Yangzhi instructing the butler, “Change the bed linens in the room.”

The butler quickly agreed, “Alright.”

Yun Yuwan’s face unconsciously reddened. This was clearly advertising what they had just done.

After getting into the car parked in front of the villa and closing the door, Yun Yuwan lowered her voice to bring up, “When you just told the butler to change the linens, wasn’t that essentially telling the butler?”

Wen Yangzhi didn’t look at her but was browsing through financial reports, the reading light in the backseat of the Maybach on, his fingers adorned with silver rings that matched Bai Zhizi’s, scrolling through the pages on the screen,

“Why, are you afraid of people knowing?”

She felt a bit shy, “It’s just… letting others know is a bit embarrassing.”

He finally slightly lifted his eyes, glanced at her, seemingly also troubled by this, and said slowly, “What about tonight then? This could be a big problem.”

Yun Yuwan didn’t understand, “What about tonight?”

He mentioned slowly, “Or you could ask Uncle Deng to change it, and say you accidentally spilled milk on the brother’s bed.”

She pondered the logic, “How would I spill milk in your room, especially on your bed?”

Wen Yangzhi raised his eyebrow slightly.

She suddenly realized what he meant—that tonight he still wanted—

Yun Yuwan’s face heated up, she urged strongly, “Not tonight, okay? Everyone’s at home.”

He nodded, conceding her point, and said nothing more.

Unsure whether he was thinking of changing the well-thought-out plan, or continuing as originally planned, nothing could really be altered.

The two sat a little apart, and Yun Yuwan moved closer, wrapping her arms around his arm, leaning on his shoulder, and planted a light kiss on his cool lips, holding but briefly.

Ignoring her made her embarrassed, not ignoring her made her want to cuddle him more.

Wen Yangzhi was hers to do as she pleased with.

She rested contentedly against him, breathing in the air around Wen Yangzhi, nuzzling against his chest.

It wasn’t long before his deep voice emerged above her head,

“You want to do it in the car?”

Yun Yuwan: “?”
