Chapter 1305: Chapter 1305: Evidence, I’ll Show You Something

Ning Yanan was truly exhausted, and she fell soundly asleep leaning against Jiang Jinchen’s chest.

In a daze, she sensed that the man had carried her away.

When she woke again, she was in a completely unfamiliar environment.

Ning Yanan tensed up nervously, and was just about to sit up from the bed when an arm across her waist stopped her.

Turning her head, she saw the man’s perfect profile enter her view.

Sensing her movement, Jiang Jinchen drew in his arm and opened his eyes.

"Awake? Are you hungry? I made some porridge, I’ll go get you some, you can wash your face in the meantime."

Jiang Jinchen held her and rolled over to sit up.

His large hand passed through Ning Yanan’s hair, cradling her dazed face.

"What’s wrong?"

Jiang Jinchen was not wearing any clothes, and the blanket slipped off, revealing his robust chest.

His perfect abs glistened with a charming honey hue in the dim light.

Ning Yanan stared at his chest, and the atmosphere inexplicably turned very ambiguous.

Jiang Jinchen lowered his head and was just about to kiss her lips when Ning Yanan turned her head away.

Jiang Jinchen’s eyes flickered, he did not force her, and stroked her cheek gently with his hand, then lifted the blanket, preparing to carry her out of bed.

"Jing Yan is also pregnant, what do you plan to do with the child in her belly?"

Ning Yanan suddenly grabbed his arm, her lips parting slightly.

Her eyes darkened.

Some questions were inescapable, no matter how much she wanted to avoid them.

Even though she and Jiang Jinchen were married, Jing Yan was still pregnant with Jiang Jinchen’s child, and the media would not let go of this.

Jing Yan was the Jiang Family’s approved daughter-in-law, her marriage with Jiang Jinchen had been widely publicized by the media; even if they were married, Ning Yanan still felt like a woman who should be hidden away.

"If I say I feel like I never touched her, would you believe me? Or would you think I’m just making excuses to get your forgiveness?" Jiang Jinchen picked up a robe from the head of the bed and draped it casually over his body.

He tied his belt leisurely.

His gaze kept fixed on Ning Yanan’s face, seeing no anger, he continued.

"I have something to show you."

Jiang Jinchen walked to a cabinet, pulled open a drawer, and took out a bottle of medicine, handing it to Ning Yanan.

"This is what I just found out. This drug is a new illegal drug from Australia that can create the illusion of pregnancy. It is not sold on the market. Just a short while ago, my father had someone buy a set, although it passed through several hands, I still managed to track it down."

"..."

Ning Yanan stared at the bottle in her hand, a regular white glass bottle filled with gray pills, showing no hint of its effects.

"That night I was drunk, and I do remember holding someone in bed, thinking it was you. I knew very well you didn’t want me to touch you, so even though I madly wanted you, I still held back in the end. Moreover, given my drunken state, whether I could perform is still a question from a medical standpoint."

Jiang Jinchen looked at Ning Yanan, fearing to see even a trace of disgust on her face.

He chose to reveal this, not to shirk responsibility, but in the hope that Ning Yanan would trust him once more.

"I didn’t investigate at the time because Jing Yan had, after all, covered for me for two months. Whether it’s true or not, and regardless of her motives, I knew clearly that it was impossible between us, and there was no need to embarrass her, not until she showed me the pregnancy test and told me she was pregnant. Then I started to suspect something was off."
