Young Noble Be Monster Slaying -
Chapter 973: Truly, Don't Say It (I)
To create something from nothing was a nearly impossible proposition, but the reverse—returning something to nothing—was a common occurrence. The two formed a repetitive cycle, with only a single point of transition between them.
Chu Liang looked up at the sky and saw two colors, black and white. They were condensing to form what appeared to be two massive yin and yang fish[1]. Fortunately, he had comprehended the Great Dao of Yin and Yang to some degree, so he could sense the changes happening within the world before him.
At the very base of everything—absolutely everything—was the same building block. All matter was composed of countless particles, arranged in different ways to form different things. The process of these particles breaking apart or fusing together marked the appearance and disappearance of matter.
That was the starting point of creation. If Chu Liang could grasp the starting point of creation, that meant he had mastered the Great Dao of Creation.
Chu Liang gathered the spiritual qi of all the elemental Great Daos he had comprehended: metal, wood, water, fire, earth, yin, and yang. Radiant beams of light representing each one converged before him.
First, he had to deconstruct, then he could create.
Chu Liang tried to break down the spiritual qi, but when it reached the size of fine threads, he hit a wall. The threads of spiritual qi could no longer be split up. It seemed like that was as small as they could go.
However, he then recalled the Yin-Yang Alteration.
Drawing upon the supreme cutting technique he had comprehended earlier, he condensed ultimate yin qi and ultimate yang qi within his divine sense and used them to shave down the threads of elemental spiritual qi. He cut them into minuscule particles that barely existed.
Nonetheless, they were still too big. These particles were still in the form of spiritual qi.
Chu Liang stared at the spiritual qi particles for a long time, then he used the Great Dao of Ultimate Yang to apply heat to them. Under the intense heat of Ultimate Yang, the minuscule particles of spiritual qi evaporated with a soft hiss, dispersing once again.
If that process were seen through a magnifier, it would resemble an exploding star. Of course, the process of the spiritual qi evaporating and dispersing was something that could not be perceived with the naked eye. Even with the Crimson Devil Helmet, observing that process was almost beyond the capabilities of Chu Liang's divine sense.
In the end, he switched to the Great Dao of Ultimate Yin. Fortunately, he managed to use that to obtain a glowing primordial particle.
It was one of the particles from which the life essence of all matter originated—an origin particle.
As Chu Liang held that origin particle, he felt as though he was holding the entire world in his hands. He closed his eyes and used his divine sense to carefully pick out more origin particles for spiritual qi.
After some time, Chu Liang finally produced a strand of spiritual qi that was entirely different from before. This strand of qi had transformed from a wisp of earth qi into a wisp of metal qi. From this moment on, he had truly gained the ability to turn dirt into gold.
Chu Liang finally let out a long breath. "Huu..."
He realized the world before his eyes had changed completely. The sky, earth, mountains, rivers, lakes, and seas had all become flowing streams of color in his vision. The streams of color were made up of countless minuscule origin particles. If he wished, he could alter their forms at will.
If he were to deconstruct everything to isolate the origin particles like he had done earlier, that would be way too much of a hassle and far too exhausting. However, as long as he could sense the spiritual nature of those particle points, he could enhance his affinity with them, allowing them to respond to his command and move on their own.
That way, everything would become much easier for Chu Liang.
Raising affinity levels had always been his forte. Unlike those with the constitution of a Transcendent Spirit, Chu Liang had not been born with an incredibly high affinity with a Great Dao or certain kinds of spiritual qi. Any affinity he possessed, he had earned through relentless effort.
Chu Liang said slowly, "What is it that you desire?"
His voice reverberated through the sky and across the earth like the resounding voice of a mighty deity.
"As long as you can help me, I'll give you anything you want. In return, I only ask that you obey my command.
"So, will you help me?"
As if in answer to his question, a roaring wind stirred the skies. Everything in the world seemed to grow excited, dancing and leaping in high spirits.
All things in existence had their own desires. The origin particles wished only to grow faster. Each one of them yearned to develop, expand, and evolve into a new world.
Chu Liang's spiritual power could fulfill their desires. In this moment, he was a deity!
Chu Liang could sense a strong pulse beneath the earth. The power of creation within Deity Pan's Bone was resonating with him.
He could feel that the bone held a very favorable impression of him. Perhaps it was because of his form.
Deity Pan had a human form, so it was no wonder that both Deity Pan's Bone and the Demon-Suppressing Pagoda, which Deity Pan's Bone had later been used to forge, would become precious legendary artifacts welded to the will of humanity. They treated humans with favor and mercy, but they had no tolerance for demons and evil entities and would attack ruthlessly.
Chu Liang slowly slid into the earth. Wherever he passed, the ground parted on its own to make way for him. He traveled all the way down to the deepest layer of the earth, where he saw a glowing remnant chunk of a bone with rays of light circling it.
In the evolved world outside, it had been Hallowed Li who had taken this step. He had extracted Deity Pan's Bone and fused it into the Demon-Suppressing Pagoda.
Nevertheless, in this still-evolving world, Chu Liang would be the one to take it.
He grasped Deity Pan's Bone and felt the Dao essence and spiritual qi of the Great Dao of Creation surging within it. When he attempted to draw out that power, the sound of wind and thunder roared to life!
Chu Liang soared upward to the highest point of this world.
His voice reverberated all over the world as he exclaimed, "Let there be light!"
Whoosh.
The sun, the moon, and the stars in the sky suddenly lit up, releasing dazzling rays of light upon the world. In a split second, the world was blotted with countless shadows.
Feeling the immense spiritual power flowing from Deity Pan's Bone, Chu Liang realized that he truly could perform the divine feats of a deity.
He broke into a grin and said, "Let there be a lake."
As he spoke, he pointed at a spot on the world. The ground cracked open into a massive crater. Torrential rain poured from the sky, and water flooded into the crater from all sides, filling it in the blink of an eye.
Chu Liang then decided to conduct a more challenging test. He would create what he loved most.
"Let there be a Senior Sister Jiang and a mountain of spirit-stone coins."
As soon as the words left his mouth, a deafening crack rang out. It appeared that creating a person was far more difficult than making a lake.
The grating sound of grinding gears ripped through the air. Then came the loud blast of an explosion!
BOOOOM!
Chu Liang's divine sense trembled, and his vision was washed out in blinding light. He could not see anything clearly, so he shut his eyes.
When he finally opened them again, the first thing he saw was a familiar face.
It belonged to a young woman who looked as pure and ethereal as a celestial maiden. Her eyes, though, were filled with worry. Who else could it be but Jiang Yuebai?
Jiang Yuebai was holding Chu Liang's hand. Seeing Chu Liang's eyes flutter open, she smiled, her eyes brimming with tears of concern and joy. "You're finally awake..."
Chu Liang blinked and glanced around. "Senior Sister Jiang is here, but what about the spirit-stone coins?"
"What did you say?" Jiang Yuebai was stunned. "Were you dreaming?"
Chu Liang reached out and pinched Jiang Yuebai's cheeks, tugging on them with a grin. "Truly, the Great Dao of Creation is incredible. This person looks exactly the same as her. I wonder if…"
As he twisted and rubbed her cheeks again and again, Jiang Yuebai's gaze gradually turned cold and dark.
Under the clear blue sky, in the Divine Ruins Monastery nestled amid lush greenery, the sound of an explosion interrupted the peace.
Boom!
Drowned out by the blast, there was also the anguished scream of a certain young man.
