Chapter 963: Chapter 963: Bloody Hand and Footprints Appear on the Wall, Puppets Piled Up like a Mountain
Afeng was about to fall, but he was still tightly clutching the equipment in his hands.
After he steadied himself, he broke out in a cold sweat.
He thought with lingering fear, if he had really broken the company’s equipment, he could never afford to compensate for it.
Min Zhenghao’s phone light shone directly on Afeng’s face, and his tone was somewhat urgent, "What were you thinking about!"
Clutching the equipment in his arms, Afeng said with a relieved expression, "I don’t know what happened, but I felt like something was pulling me from behind."
He looked back and saw nothing but trash on the stairs behind him, no sign of any person.
Yet, he had clearly felt as if something was dragging him back by the neck.
As soon as Min Zhenghao heard this, thinking it was for the effect of the live stream, he patted Afeng’s shoulder and comforted him, "It’s alright, we are the new generation of young people, we cannot be brought down by crooked winds and evil Qi!"
Afeng didn’t think too much about it and, holding the camera, he slowly nodded his head.
"Ahh!!!"
Just at that moment, a scream echoed from upstairs.
Afeng and Min Zhenghao exchanged glances, not only were they not nervous, but there was also a hint of anticipation.
One carrying the equipment and the other holding the flashlight, they rushed upstairs.
The previously confused and uncertain comments in the live stream burst into activity at the sound of the scream, expressing their anticipation for the exploration to come.
Min Zhenghao and Afeng were not paying attention to the comment section, knowing from that scream just how lively the live room was.
Qin Ruan followed leisurely behind them, occasionally cleaning up the Puppets that lay on the staircase.
If Min Zhenghao, Afeng, and those in the live room could open their Heavenly Eye, they would see that the hospital was filled with ghosts everywhere.
They were disfigured, with dull and lifeless eyes, standing or lying around, some even twisting their bodies awkwardly on the ground.
As Qin Ruan ascended the stairs, the shadows of the ghosts were pressed onto every step she took.
They were like soulless toys, remaining at the places where they died.
The countless ghosts lined the entire staircase, almost piling up into a small mountain, which was why Qin Ruan’s pace of collecting Puppets was slow.
Where she passed, golden light flashed, and countless ghosts were gathered.
In the dark night, illuminated only by the phone light, one could not see objects several meters away, and chilling rustling sounds arose from the darkness.
Qin Ruan’s expression was cold, as she ignored the noises, collecting Puppets while steadily stepping up to the second floor.
Min Zhenghao and Afeng stood in front of the first room on the left hand side of the second-floor corridor.
The camera swayed back and forth inside the room, and they were making quite a commotion.
"Did the family members see it? Did you see it?" Min Zhenghao’s panicked voice echoed in the corridor, "Just now a Puppet shadow flickered past, tell me did you see it?"
His voice could be heard echoing even at the end of the corridor.
Qin Ruan, with her arms crossed, wanted to lean against the wall behind her but, looking back, she met the gaze of a ghastly Puppet face.
It was a Puppet with pallid eyes and a body shrouded in dense black mist oozing Evil Qi.
Donned in a striped hospital gown, those terrifyingly white eyes stared straight at her.
Qin Ruan let out a light sigh, collected it with a raise of her hand, preparing to gather all the ghosts that could be reincarnated and hand them over to the Netherworld envoy.
"Ahhhh!!!" The scream rose again.
"There really was a Puppet shadow! Good heavens! What’s happening here, have we stumbled upon a Puppet Nest today!"
Min Zhenghao was creating a terrifying atmosphere, and Afeng, taking advantage of the horrific mood he stirred, kept shaking the camera.
Qin Ruan, with her exquisite face looking somber as still water, watched them courting death with an indifferent eye.
It should have been a funny moment, but she couldn’t laugh because she clearly saw several Evil Puppet ghosts closing in on them.
As for the Puppet shadows that caused a stir by Min Zhenghao and Afeng, Qin Ruan wasn’t sure what was real or fake, only that if they didn’t escape soon, blood would splatter right there tonight.
The malevolent spirits inside feasted on human flesh and blood, crunching bones and swallowing them whole, truly Evil Puppets.
After interacting with his fans for a while and encouraged by a wave of gift rewards, Min Zhenghao walked into the room with his lighting lamp as if resigning himself to death.
Afeng followed closely behind him, trying his best to capture both Min Zhenghao and the surroundings on camera.
Their footsteps crunched on the messy floor, and the quiet room echoed with the eerie sound of stepping on foreign objects.
The pitch-black room had an unnerving atmosphere, cluttered with trash everywhere, and the walls were covered in some strange graffiti.
It was only when the camera zoomed in closely that it became apparent those chaotic graffiti were all depicted in a blood-red color.
Seeing such a scene, both Min Zhenghao and Afeng felt panic-stricken, a chill running up their spines.
Gasping for air and terrified, Afeng asked, "This is so scary! There aren’t really any Puppets here, are there?"
Min Zhenghao wanted to cry but no tears came out as he trembled and said, "Afeng, don’t talk nonsense!"
As they were speaking, another shadow flashed across the camera, this time very close to both Afeng and Min Zhenghao.
It whizzed by the lens very quickly.
"Shit!"
"What the hell?!"
Afeng and Min Zhenghao both saw it and cried out at the same time, their voices nearly breaking into tears.
The more afraid they were, the more excited the emotions of the people in the streaming room became.
"Wuu wuu wuu..." Following that, a thrilling cry echoed.
Afeng almost immediately aimed the camera at the corner of the room, precisely capturing the trembling shadow there, whimpering softly.
Min Zhenghao charged forward a few steps, appearing in the frame with the shadow.
Upon seeing clearly the ’Puppet’ in the corner, he was so frightened that he threw his phone, screaming at the top of his lungs, "Fuck! There really is a Puppet!!"
He let out a howl and turned to dash toward the door.
As for the object he threw out of his hand, it appeared to be a phone but was actually just a phone case.
It lay there, quietly on the dusty and dirty floor.
Afeng turned around to capture Min Zhenghao’s fleeing figure on camera.
Watching his clumsy escape, a smirk appeared on Afeng’s face.
However, in the next second, the smile slowly faded from his face, gradually turning to a rigid expression.
Afeng clearly saw a series of red bloodstains appear on the wall caught on camera.
His eyes widened slightly as he carefully observed the red hand and footprints through the camera’s tracking, watching them crawl towards the room’s doorway.
Just as Min Zhenghao was about to rush out the door, there was a loud bang.
The old wooden door was slammed shut by an unseen force.
Min Zhenghao was clueless about the appearance of this unknown thing; he thought the wind had blown the door shut. When he reached for the doorknob, he touched something sticky.
He drew his hand back in a daze, looking down to see his hand covered in sticky, black coagulated blood, and a foul stench hitting his nostrils.
Min Zhenghao’s feigned fear turned to a look of bewilderment; he remembered that this scene hadn’t been arranged in advance.
Afeng’s eyes were fixed on the camera, and upon seeing what stood in front of Min Zhenghao, his face turned ashen, sweat beading on his forehead.
Not just him, but even the viewers in the streaming room fell silent instantly, and the comment section became very clean.
