Chapter 768: The Child Pampered by Three Generations of the Huo Family

Chapter 768: Chapter 768: The Child Pampered by Three Generations of the Huo Family

The following day.

When Qin Ruan woke up, what came into view was the snowy scenery outside the window.

It had unexpectedly snowed last night.

Judging by the snow on the branches of the trees outside, it seemed to have been quite heavy.

Qin Ruan sat up, her delicate and beautiful neck bending slightly forward, wanting to see the snow on the ground.

The servants of the Huo Family were competent. Before dawn, they had already cleared the snow in the courtyard.

"Awake?"

Dressed in loose home clothes, his hair tips slightly damp, the third master came out of the bathroom.

Qin Ruan turned her gaze to him, observing that he looked much better than yesterday, no longer as pale. A faint smile appeared on her sleepy face which was still flushed from sleep.

Feeling good, her tone became cheerful: "It snowed last night, I didn’t even realize."

Picking up on her good mood, the third master put down the towel in his hand, came over to Qin Ruan, ruffled her hair, making her already messy hair messier.

"It started snowing while you were asleep."

Qin Ruan leaned against the headboard, her beautiful eyes curving in admiration of the snowscape outside the window.

The third master walked towards the dressing room, saying casually, "Get up, Leslie is awake, she said she wants to thank you in person."

The smile on Qin Ruan’s face faded, she turned her gaze towards him: "When are they leaving?"

Last night, Ayao, Anqi, and Lance had a fight.

These three children have already made enemies. She worried that if Donald didn’t take his son away soon, Huo Yao and Huo Anqi would trouble Lance.

Not that she was worried about her sons losing, but she didn’t want them dealing with the Blood Clan at such a young age.

The third master quickly returned, bringing Qin Ruan’s change of clothes: "They’ll probably leave tomorrow, the Huo household doesn’t have time to entertain them."

As he stood by the bed helping Qin Ruan stand up, he lifted the silk nightgown that had slipped off her shoulder, hiding an enticing view.

"Take a bath, then come downstairs for a meal?"

"Okay."

Qin Ruan took the clothes and headed for the bathroom.

Half an hour later, the two of them went downstairs.

In the hall, Qin Mei was cuddling Xueqiu, entertaining Huo Yao and Huo Anqi.

Huo Yao was yanking on Xueqiu’s tail that was resting on Qin Mei’s leg.

He was very domineering: "Ah!"

This is mine!

He glared at Huo Anqi with his eyes.

Huo Anqi held Xueqiu’s fluffy front paw: "Yiya."

Mine!

Qin Mei, who was holding the beloved pet, laughed heartily.

In the past, he found children to be noisy, always crying, which was very taxing.

His two nephews didn’t cry much, they were naughty, and gave him a great start to the morning. They couldn’t be more filial.

Early this morning, Qin Mei discovered that the Huo brothers, Huo Yao, and Huo Anqi didn’t get along, they would fight over anything.

The two of them might be playing, and their eyes would unintentionally meet, and then they’d start fighting.

Just a moment ago, the brothers had a fight, which scared him.

The servant who was looking after the children was used to this and comforted him, saying that the two young masters often communicated their feelings in this way and that nothing would go wrong.

Qin Mei held back his shock, and quickly discovered indeed nothing could go wrong.

The two boys would fight, but they knew their limits, they wouldn’t hurt each other.

Xueqiu’s ears stood up, twitching slightly.

It turned its head to look upstairs, and meowed once.

Following its gaze, Qin Mei saw his sister and brother-in-law coming downstairs.

"Ruanruan, you’re finally awake. Ayao and Anqi are so much fun, these two children are almost becoming little spirit monsters!"

At these words, the third master’s brows slightly furrowed. His nephews, who were adored and spoiled by three generations of the Huo family, were reportedly fun by his brother-in-law.

He glanced at Huo Yao and Huo Anqi.

The two children were no longer fighting over the cat and were sitting obediently on the couch, appearing to be even better behaved than usual.

Their grandfather was taken aback and thought to himself, "What have they done wrong this time?"

Qin Ruan smirked and retorted,"Second brother, if you’re so fond of children, why don’t you have your own to play with?"

Qin Mei squinted and grinned carelessly, "I wish I could, but I’m not capable."

Qin Ruan gave him a glare, picked up Huo Yao, who was sitting closest to her.

Their grandfather strolled over and picked up Huo Anqi.

The couple, each holding a child, headed for the dining room. The servants who took care of the children were closely following them.

Qin Mei, sprawled on the couch, finally realized what was going on.

His little sister and brother-in-law were apparently peeved.

He exhaled and blew at a lock of hair hanging before his eyes, trying to figure out what he said wrong.

With a fearless expression, the second young master, thick skinned as ever, followed them into the dining room.

At the dinner table, Qin Mei didn’t forget to tease Huo Yao and Huo Anqi. Their grandfather and Qin Ruan kept glancing at him.

The thick-skinned Qin Mei was completely unaware.

Until, when Qin Mei reached out to pinch Huo Yao’s cheek again, Qin Ruan couldn’t help but hold her forehead.

She told the servants, "Take the children upstairs."

If they didn’t leave soon, the color on Huo Yao’s face would be as if he’d been blushed.

Because her second brother had pinched him.

Seeing as the servants were about to pick up the children, Qin Mei objected, "Don’t. I’m not done playing yet."

Qin Mei held onto Huo Yao’s little hand, reluctant to let go.

Master Huo calmly put down his chopsticks, his deep eyes glanced casually at the servant beside him, "The young masters are tired, take them back to their rooms for some rest."

His tone was authoritative, leaving no room for hesitation.

"Yes, Master Huo."

Joined by another servant, this time, Qin Mei couldn’t stop them.

He watched as his two adorable nephews were taken away.

Qin Ruan wiped her hands and, without raising her head, said, "Second brother, it’s a rare holiday, find some other forms of entertainment. Don’t waste this nice holiday."

Qin Mei widened his eyes and wore a sorrowful expression, "Ruanruan, are you really driving me away?"

The usually cocky second master’s playfulness was gone, in its place was an image of a pitiful victim as if Qin Ruan had committed an unspeakable atrocity against him.

Qin Ruan nodded solemnly, "As long as you understand."

She was afraid that if she didn’t send him away immediately, her two sons would become the second master’s playthings.

However, the second master wasn’t stupid, he understood what was going on.

He pointed at Qin Ruan with his ring finger held out elegantly and put on quite a show, "Little sister, you’re so typical, forgetting about your second brother now that you have sons. I’m heartbroken."

Qin Ruan suppressed the twitching corners of her lips and said calmly, "Ayao and Anqi are still very delicate."

The pretense of grievance on Qin Mei’s face fell, "Delicate my ass! You didn’t see them; they went from fighting on the couch to the floor, then from the floor to the table. Is that something two-month-old kids would do?"

Master Huo spoke out in displeasure, "No swearing." His eyebrows knitted delicately.

Qin Mei was quite afraid of his brother in law. The oppressive aura around him was intense and instilled fear.

He retracted his bold demeanor, curled his lips in disdain, but did not dare to make a sound.

Seeing that Qin Mei was afraid of Master Huo, Qin Ruan couldn’t help but smile.

She glanced at Xueqiu by his side and asked, "We’re going to meet with the Bolin family, want to come along?"

"No, thanks!"

The second young master hadn’t forgotten the complicated relationship between the Bolin family and the vampire Rasambo family.

Such cold-blooded creatures lurking in the darkness, it’s better to avoid interaction if possible.

He was a coward, and he valued his life.
