Chapter 730: Mr. Huo San: Ruanruan, we should go home now
Chapter 730: Chapter 730: Mr. Huo San: Ruanruan, we should go home now
Just before Hu Yixian left, his words, tinged with a smile, clearly reached Huo Anqi’s ears.
"Your brother’s gift will be delivered, little one. We’ll meet again."
The Nine-tailed Fox clan grows a tail every five hundred years of cultivation. Giving one to Huo Anqi already meant losing five hundred years of cultivation.
Giving another tail to Huo Yao was unfortunately beyond their capacity.
Changyuan, the silly snake, had lost his memory while Lan An sent a beauty back to Qi Mountain.
Neither had yet given a gift, so Huo Yao’s greeting gift might have to wait a bit longer.
Huo Anqi got up swiftly from the bed, his black eyes gazing at the French window.
Hu Yixian had already disappeared, leaving no trace behind.
Huo Yao lay in the bed across, sleeping soundly, unaware of what happened.
Huo Anqi stared at his pouted mouth, a bubble occasionally escaping from his mouth with his steady breathing.
A hint of laughter flashed in his bright eyes.
The next second, the smile in the young prince Huo’s eyes disappeared.
He obediently laid down and continued to sleep, as if nothing had happened.
...
Qin Ruan had just given birth a few days ago, and she’d gone out to deal with malevolent entities. Even the scar on her abdomen had strangely disappeared.
The next day, she was coaxed by Grandpa Huo to have a full-body examination.
Naturally, there were no issues found.
For the next month, Grandpa Huo insisted that Qin Ruan shouldn’t leave the house, and should instead take care of herself during her confinement period.
The Qin family, with their father and two sons, occasionally visited during this period.
Huo Yao and Huo Anqi, the two brothers, loved the cat brought by Qin Mei.
Every time they saw Xueqiu, they’d pull its tail to torment it, making the cat howl in response.
The sight broke the heart of Young Master Qin, but faced with his two adorable nephews, he could only sacrifice Xueqiu for their amusement.
Fortunately Xueqiu was a Cat Demon, or else it would’ve been played to death by the two little princes of the Huo family.
Huo family members occasionally came to see the children, with Huo Yirong being the most frequent visitor.
He also adored his two nephews.
Once, Huo Yao pea-ed all over Huo Yirong without wasting a drop.
When he finished, he laughed non-stop, like it was intentional.
Instead of getting angry, Huo Yirong chuckled and said, "Huo Yao takes after me. He’s distinctive."
The birth of the fourth generation of the Huo family was a secret well kept; apart from the Huo and Qin families, virtually no outsider knew.
A month passed in a blink of an eye.
The year-end came around suddenly.
In just a month it would be New Year.
One morning, Qin Ruan opened her drowsy eyes to see her husband standing by the bed, his exquisite face wearing a gentle smile.
He said, "Ruanruan, it’s time we went home."
That very day, they moved back to the small building in the Huo Mansion with their children.
When they moved back, Grandpa Huo took care of everything, leaving them to each carry a child.
All their stuff at the Champs Elysees Manor was methodically packed by Huo Qiang and Huo Zhi along with the servants.
A little over a month before, Huo Chuan had been dispatched to a task in some Western continental territory, to carry out an extermination mission against a certain force.
He returned not long after, only to leave for another assignment.
Grandpa Huo told Qin Ruan that it seemed he had gone to Fuluo Country and wouldn’t be back before the New Year.
This time, their return to the Huo Mansion was partly due to it being the end of the year; they would prepare for the New Year with the Huo family.
Secondly, this period was prone to assassinations. Being a key figure in the Cabinet was no easy task, nor was being part of the Huo family because one never knew how many assassination attempts they would face in their lifetime.
Despite being surrounded by numerous hidden guards each time she ventured outside, Yunjiao has faced countless assassination attempts since her childhood.
The old Huo mansion had the strongest safety system and was therefore, the safest place.
Now that they had Huo Yao and Huo Anqi, Grandpa Huo would not let them face any dangers.
A few days after their return to the Huo Mansion, Huo Qiang and Huo Zhi both disappeared.
Qin Ruan was seated in the plush living room, filled with luxury, soft carpets, warming herself near the furnace, and playing with Huo Yao and Huo Anqi crawling on the carpet.
When she saw Grandpa Huo, walking from upstairs with a cup in hand, she knelt on the ground and looked up towards him.
She asked, "Did Huo Zhi and Huo Qiang leave?"
Grandpa Huo’s voice was gentle, "Yes, they went to your uncle’s, they needed some help due to the recent business."
"Clap Clap Clap!!!"
A clapping sound followed his words.
Like Qin Ruan, Huo Yao obediently sat on the carpet. But, due to his shorter legs, he kept falling forward.
After struggling for quite a while, he finally fell onto the soft carpet.
The little guy looked at his approaching father, expectantly.
Given his inelegant pose, the smile never left the man’s lips.
Huo Yao pouted and his tiny hands clapped eagerly.
Qin Ruan held her son on her lap, squeezed his little hand and asked him with a smile, "What’s wrong? Do you want to go see your uncle?"
"Clap clap clap!!"
Huo Yao’s claps echoed loudly.
He opened his mouth wide, shaking his head from side to side, laughing merrily.
In the meantime, Huo Anqi, who was playing with toys at his mother’s side, also crawled to Qin Ruan’s lap.
He held his mother’s light-colored robe and gave it a light tug.
Qin Ruan looked down at him with a tender look, "Anqi, do you want to go too?"
She picked up her other son, Huo Anqi, a much quieter and obedient child compared to Huo Yao, onto her lap.
The little prince nodded.
While they couldn’t yet talk, communicating with their mother and father was not an issue at all.
Grandpa Huo placed his water cup on the table and walked towards them.
He cast a gentle gaze upon his wife and children, his eyes almost closing, he looked at Huo Yao and Huo Anqi with an inscrutable affection.
After a while, he suggested softly with a smile, "Your uncle is home today, why don’t we go and visit him?"
When he said this, his warm eyes were fixed on Qin Ruan.
Qin Ruan cast a glance outside at the sky.
It was a sunny day, a great day for an outing.
She was about to say something when she felt a slight movement in her arms.
Huo Yao and Huo Anqi squirmed around and got down, then crawled to their father’s feet. They each held onto his legs, looking up at him yearningly.
They had not been out since they came home a few days ago.
However, the two little princes weren’t aware that Grandpa Huo was seeking Qin Ruan’s opinion.
The decision to go out and play was entirely up to their mother.
Under the flowing sunlight, Grandpa Huo’s lazy eyes spasmed, he looked at Qin Ruan with a glint of mirth.
Qin Ruan blinked and looked at Huo Yao and Huo Anqi with a wry smile.
She slowly got up and laughed, "Well then, let’s pay a visit. Ayao and Anqi must be getting bored at home."
"Good----
Grandpa Huo had a comforting and warm demeanor, with striking brows and affectionate eyes.
Every word he spoke was overflowing with everyday softness, a captivating charm, which couldn’t be suppressed.
...
Huo Yirong’s house was bustling today.
As Grandpa Huo’s family arrived, he was caught punishing his subordinates.
A number of the Huo family’s hidden guards were standing nervously in the cold-toned hall, including Huo Zhi and Huo Qiang, all looking towards a certain direction, faces pale with fear.
Huo Yirong was standing behind a man dressed in a training suit.
His hand firmly on the man’s head, forcefully pushing it into a lily pond.
