Chapter 706: Chapter 706: The Advent of the Spiritual Body and the Yinsha Body, Attracting Thousands of Puppets to Fight for Food

Lin Hao and Huo Zhi walked out of the operation room, each pushing an infant transfer incubator.

Huo Yirong, the children’s uncle, was more excited than the children’s biological father at the sight of them.

He eagerly moved closer, asking in a rush, "Are they boys or girls?"

"Uncle, there are two boys."

Chen Hengfeng, who had walked out, answered his question.

Huo Yirong watched the child in the incubator closest to him through the glass, "Wow, they’re really tiny. They’re not even opening their eyes."

Chen Hengfeng paused slightly, not daring to say a word.

The fact that the children are small was unavoidable due to premature birth.

Huo Yirong beamed, "Which one is the elder brother and which one is the younger?"

Chen Hengfeng knew the answer, he pointed to the child closest to Huo Yirong, "This is the younger brother, he came out last."

He then pointed towards the incubator being pushed by Huo Zhi, "This one is the elder brother, who weighs a bit more than his younger brother."

Huo Yirong looked up and gazed at the elder brother lying in the other incubator.

The fierce look in his eyes faded, revealing his love for the two children.

Even though the two of them were wrinkled and didn’t look cute at all.

Looking at them, Uncle Huo’s heart melted.

"Uncle, let’s go!"

Third Uncle Huo, standing at the staircase, urged impatiently.

"Coming!"

Huo Yirong, full of enthusiasm, snatched the incubator with the younger brother from Lin Hao and pushed it to chase his brother.

At the staircase, Huo Yirong, along with the hidden guard, carried the incubator down the stairs.

As for the incubator with the elder brother being pushed by Huo Zhi, she and Lin Hao carried it together.

A torrential downpour started outside.

Thunder and rain in the winter were considered ominous omens.

Huo Yunjiao, holding Qin Ruan, stood on the steps at the entrance of the hospital, waiting for the hidden guards to bring the car.

The vast hospital was bathed in gusty winds, and the sound of rain echoed.

All the lights in the hospital were off, only the emergency lights flickered, casting a ghostly glow.

Third Uncle didn’t know if it was just his imagination, but he felt numerous pairs of eyes staring at him from the courtyard.

Huo Yunjiao narrowed his quiet eyes, deep and dangerous, and held Qin Ruan a bit tighter.

"Younger brother, you walked too fast, I forgot to ask how the sister-in-law is doing?"

The second Uncle Huo chased up and complained from behind.

"She’s fine."

Huo Yunjiao responded without turning around, his voice low and vigilant.

Hearing this tone, Huo Yirong sensed something wrong, he put away his relaxed expression, handed the incubator to Lin Hao, and stepped forward.

He stood next to Huo Yunjiao and asked in a low voice, "What’s the situation?"

The latter’s voice was as cold as ice, "There are other people here, and quite a few of them."

"Impossible!" Huo Yirong’s voice rose slightly, "I had people search the entire place earlier. Besides the staff, not even a ghost was seen."

"Maybe there is a puppet."

Huo Yunjiao lifted an eyebrow, speaking lightly.

His handsome, almost bewitching face, carried a brutal chill.

The honk of a car horn sounded.

Huo Yunjiao turned back to look, his dedicated vehicle had arrived, he carried Qin Ruan and walked a few steps forward.

The luxurious car slowly stopped next to him.

Huo Qiang got out of the car and personally opened the rear door.

Huo Yunjiao carefully placed Qin Ruan on the rear seat, pulling the thin blanket down slightly to reveal her delicate and pale face.

"Bang!"

"Bang! Bang!!"

"Bang! Bang! Bang!!"

The piercing sound echoed continuously and went on for a while.

Huo Yunjiao’s first reaction was to close the rear door of the car.

He looked back at Lin Hao and Huo Zhi who were holding the two children, his tense face revealing nervousness.

These were the children that Qin Ruan had risked her life to give birth to, they cannot suffer any harm.

"What’s going on?!"

Huo Yirong’s voice was filled with anger, as he paced furiously around the car.

Seeing the children unharmed, Huo Yunjiao turned back to see that the tires of several cars that had pulled up were now all exploded.

All burst without reason, a highly bizarre occurrence.

Unable to pinpoint what it was, Huo Yunjiao could sense something was drawing near.

He couldn’t see it, but the tense and dangerous atmosphere in the air made him feel its presence.

The Third Master removed the Buddha Beads from his wrist, which were as crystal clear and as white as rhinoceros horn.

His slender fingers gently rubbed each bead, putting more strength than usual on his fingertips.

"Who are you?!"

Huo Yirong’s cold interrogation rang out.

All the guarded and strained folks, upon hearing the Second Master Huo’s terse question, looked up toward the rain.

Two figures slowly approached, strolling through the pelting rain, seeming not to be touched by a single drop.

Lan An and Lingfeng approached hand in hand.

The former had her long hair tied up with a white jade hairpin, her exquisite and ethereal face exhibiting green patterns, and her dark green eyes gave off a cold and ominous glow.

Lingfeng possessed a flawlessly beautiful face, stunning in an uncanny way.

Her graceful figure, standing upright, radiated an ancient charm, her demeanor cold, and she seemed very distant.

The two wore modern clothing, yet certain eerie markings on them suggested they were not human.

Just in a blink of an eye, Lan An and Lingfeng teleported to the Third Master Huo’s side.

The former had a serious expression, her voice chilled to the bone, "You can’t leave."

Huo Yunjiao tightened his grip on his Buddha beads, his voice slightly hoarse, "Why?"

Compared to the Tree Demon that had been around for thousands of years, the Third Master Huo’s appearance and aura were more significant.

Lan An’s icy gaze moved past the Third Master Huo and focused on the two children lying in the incubator.

Suppressing the urge to hold the children, he replied as calmly as possible, "The incarnation of the Innate Spiritual Body and the Dark Evil Body has arrived, attracting thousands of Puppets to fight over and devour them. Without powerful fighting abilities to resist, no one will be able to leave today."

The nearest Huo Yunjiao and Huo Yirong, both men were utterly baffled, their hearts simultaneously sinking.

Though they failed to grasp the deep implications of these words, they also clearly understood that Lan An’s words did not bode well.

As Lan An’s gaze lingered on the children, another shadow appeared in the rainy night.

The newcomer, clad in antique black robes that perfectly revealed his stunning physique, was a man with long, flowing hair and blood-red eyes.

The sharp angles of his features weren’t necessarily handsome, but it was hard to pull one’s gaze away from him.

The powerful aura of an ancient demonic beast enveloped him, indicating his arrogant and domineering nature.

Changyuan materialized in the courtyard amidst the pouring rain. When he spotted Lan An and Lingfeng, the light in his eyes flickered, clearly recognizing them as demons.

Contrarily, Lan An, who usually wore an emotionless expression, showed a hint of excitement at seeing Changyuan.

Changyuan sauntered over with an air of arrogance as if he owned everything.

He followed Qin Ruan’s scent to the car where the Third Master Huo was, the car whose tires had all been burst.

Qin Ruan’s scent seemed to be mixed with a hint of blood.

Bending down to get nearer to the car door, Changyuan prepared to take another sniff to confirm if Qin Ruan was indeed in the car.

Suddenly a silhouette blocked his way.

Huo Yunjiao stood in front of the car door, his eyes icy and displeased as he stared at Changyuan, "Who are you?"

The handsome appearance of the Third Master radiated an air of indifference, his refined demeanor strongly asserting his authority.

Changyuan squinted his blood-red eyes, "I am here under my master’s orders to protect Qin Ruan."

Although he seemed not very bright in front of Xia Yunchen, as an ancient beast, he was still quite intelligent.

The one the master wished to protect?

Of the people he knew, wasn’t there a Ruan in Qin Ruan’s name?

With the manifestation of the Innate Spiritual Body and Dark Evil Body in Capital City, there was no way he, as an ancient demon, wouldn’t be aware.

Before passing out, his master had predicted that Qin Ruan was in danger and insisted that he protect her despite being barely conscious.

Honestly, Changyuan felt a twinge of jealousy.

But, thinking that his master had regained his memory and would no longer fear him, he was slightly excited.
