Young Master Is Being Jealous Again!
Chapter 566 Ruanruan: I Request an Explanation from the Underworld King

Chapter 566: Chapter 566 Ruanruan: I Request an Explanation from the Underworld King

Huo Yunjiao’s expression remained cold and indifferent.

He seemed to not care about the effects caused by taking the pill.

Ling Xuzi was breathing heavily, clearly angry.

He exclaimed, "How can it not matter?! In the Capital City, everyone knows you only have ten years of life left. After taking this medicine, it won’t be ten years anymore!"

Huo Yunjiao laughed lightly.

His cryptic eyes swept toward Ling Xuzi, "What difference does it make to live one more day or one less day? Can it change the predetermined fate of my early death?"

Ling Xuzi was speechless.

There’s clearly no way to change it.

A day lived is hardly a waste.

"Ahem..."

The third master suddenly coughed.

Huo Qiang, who was guarding on the side, quickly handed over a clean handkerchief.

A slender hand took the cloth and pressed it to the mouth.

A muffled cough echoed in the silent room.

The sound gradually grew louder.

For a long while, Huo Yunjiao’s expression shifted.

His once rosy face suddenly turned pale.

When he removed the hand covering his mouth, a bright, shocking red was smeared on the cloth.

"Third master!"

Huo Qiang and Ling Xuzi both cried out in shock.

Huo Yunjiao raised his gaze to the upper floor.

Fearing that Qin Ruan would suddenly appear.

He didn’t want her to know about his taking of the medicine and was afraid that she would blame herself.

Raising his hand slightly, he commanded in a chilly, deep voice, "Keep your voices down, don’t let Ruanruan find out."

Huo Qiang stepped forward and slightly bowed.

He lowered his voice and said, "Third master, given your current condition, you shouldn’t stay here any longer. Should we go to the Champs Elysees Manor?"

That would be the most suitable place for his master to recuperate.

Ling Xuzi also spoke anxiously: "Third master, the medicine that I refined for you is meant to save your life during emergencies.

Logically, consuming it at any other time could bring serious harm to your body.

Right now, the best thing to do is to rest and recover in the Champs Elysees Manor. Any further delay could lead to unthinkable consequences!"

Ling Xuzi was filled with regret for handing the medicine to Huo Yunjiao.

He didn’t understand why Huo Yunjiao would take the medicine now, as it wasn’t a life-threatening moment.

Aside from the affairs of the Nangong family, there was nothing else that would disturb his master.

Now that the pill had been taken, it was too late for regrets.

Huo Yunjiao felt an array of discomforts. He was shivering and sweating, feeble and weak.

He understood that the best cure to his discomfort was the Champs Elysees Manor.

However, now was not the best time to leave.

He dropped his gaze slightly and said faintly, "Wait a little while longer. Once Ruanruan is sent home, I’ll find a suitable reason to leave."

Huo Qiang nodded in agreement.

He stepped forward to take the blood-stained handkerchief from his master’s hand and deal with it himself.

...

Upstairs.

Qin Ruan had personally witnessed the plight of Daoist Wu and Li Manning, and shock spread through her eyes.

These two puppets were in disarray, and their bodies radiated a dense Black Evil Energy.

Even through the protective golden light, Qin Ruan could feel their rage and intent to kill from the strands of Evil Qi that leaked through it.

There was also the mad resentment of wanting to take each other down with them.

As Qin Ruan entered the room, both Li Manning and Daoist Wu noticed her.

"It’s you!"

"Qin Ruan, save me!"

The two puppets cried out simultaneously.

Qin Ruan smirked and moved closer to them, despite her swollen belly.

She raised her hand and released the Nether Divine Power from her fingertips.

The golden shield around Li Manning shattered at her flick.

Li Manning, who finally saw a glimmer of hope, once again charged at Daoist Wu.

Daoist Wu’s golden shield remained unbroken and perfect.

Li Manning’s charge would inevitably end in failure.

She was once again repelled by the power of the golden light barrier.

Qin Ruan cast a glance at Li Manning lying on the ground, her eyes revealing a hint of helplessness.

The other woman was being possessed by a demon and hell-bent on dying together with the Taoist Wu.

The way she was acting would only expedite her transformation into a completely irrational evil puppet.

As Li Manning rose to challenge the impossible once more, Qin Ruan reached out and held her back.

Her tone grew somber, "Stop wasting your energy. All of this is about to end. Keep your reason intact!"

Li Manning’s eyes were a fierce crimson. She stared at Qin Ruan unblinkingly.

A murderous intent full of insanity and bloodthirst brewed in her gaze.

Qin Ruan placed her cool finger at the center of Li Manning’s forehead.

Li Manning’s eyes faded from red back to their normal black. Her gaze started to return to sanity.

"Have you come to your senses?"

Li Manning gritted her teeth and nodded fervently.

She thought back to Taoist Wu’s prior insults and advances, inciting a potent desire to murder him in retribution.

This insane rage pushed her to the edge of danger.

Qin Ruan released Li Manning and moved over to the golden barrier where the Taoist Wu was located.

A smile appeared on her lips, "Taoist Wu, we meet again."

"What the hell did I ever do to you for you to fixate on me like this!"

Upon seeing Qin Ruan, Taoist Wu felt his world crumble.

He knew for a fact that once this woman showed up, there was no way out for him.

"Neither grudges nor grievances. I merely find you disagreeable."

Qin Ruan flicks her finger downwards and aims it towards a certain direction.

A region begins to exude a dense cold and sinister aura as black mist starts to emerge.

"Miss Qin?"

The Pale Envoy, who had arrived alone from the Underworld, was confused when Qin Ruan summoned him in such an authoritative manner.

Qin Ruan’s gaze was gentle as she looked at the Pale Envoy who she had called forth with her nether power at her own cost.

"Please take these two puppets back to the Netherworld."

The Pale Envoy bowed slightly to Qin Ruan, "Your sudden summoning had me believe there was an incident."

Qin Ruan smiled, her eyes curving into crescents.

She said casually, "If something were to happen, I wouldn’t be troubling you. How has the Underworld King been doing lately?"

The Pale Envoy knew that if Qin Ruan found herself in trouble in the mortal world, reaching out to them, servants of the puppets, would not help.

After all, Qin Ruan’s abilities now surpassed those of them, the follower ranks.

The Pale Envoy bowed again to respond, "His Highness is well-fed, sleeps well and is living in harmony."

Qin Ruan’s smile faded as she spoke lightly, "I can’t say the same for myself."

The Pale Envoy looked at her, expressionless, "Miss Qin is facing difficulties?"

Qin Ruan mouthed, "I’m dying."

Her tone was light, as if she was discussing someone else’s life or death.

"That’s impossible!"

The Pale Envoy showed an expression of disbelief on his ethereal face.

With Qin Ruan’s current abilities and status, it should be impossible for her to die.

Qin Ruan rolled up her sleeve, showing him the line on her wrist that was growing shorter.

"The Underworld King once told me that this is my lifeline. Based on your judgment, how much longer do I have?"

The Pale Envoy frowned, his eyes clouded with a misty evil Qi, as he stared intently at the red line on the inside of Qin Ruan’s wrist.

His normally stoic face showed concern, "This... is hard to estimate."

Even if he couldn’t be entirely certain, he could tell at a glance.

Qin Ruan’s lifeline indicated that her life wouldn’t last long.

Qin Ruan calmly let her sleeve fall back down.

She spoke solemnly to the Pale Envoy, "I would appreciate it if you could pass a message to the Underworld King. Tell him I wish to see him. I want an explanation."

"Ever since I returned, I’ve absorbed a lot of Evil Qi for survival. Now, my lifeline is shortening. At the very least, he owes me an explanation."

An anger simmered in Qin Ruan’s words.

She had a hunch that something was not right with the Underworld King regarding the change in her lifeline.

Even if it wasn’t his fault, this significant bug should not have been kept from her. She deserved an explanation.

The Pale Envoy bowed again, "I will convey Miss Qin’s message to the Underworld King word for word."

What was his pleasure in disaster about?

The Underworld King had indeed been leading a carefree life recently.

Previously, the puppets that had escaped from the Underworld were caught by these lowly servants.

And now, with Qin Ruan causing trouble for the Underworld King, the Pale Envoy was the first to relish in this chaos.
