Chapter 1136: Chapter 1136: Ruanruan Is Attacked and Has a Difficult Birth, Only His Blood Can Harm You!

Fu Yuheng’s face was livid with rage, his eyes dark and heavy as he stared at Ji Shuzhen.

The smugness on her face, coupled with her clenched teeth of hatred towards him, filled him with unease, even as the murderous intent that lay buried deep within him began to stir restlessly.

This woman was a lunatic!

Ji Shuzhen’s gaze swept across each person in the room, her powerful Witch Power permeating every corner.

She would remember today’s humiliation, and the day she returned to the Capital City would be the moment she avenged her disgrace and took control of the Human Realm.

However, Qin Ruan’s power truly was immeasurable, her strength made Ji Shuzhen quite wary.

But this did not mean that she was truly afraid of the other party, enough to stop her years of ambition.

When Qin Ruan saw Ji Shuzhen trying to flee, the energy orb condensed in her palm was released, hurtling rapidly towards the woman amidst the ground covered with colorful snakes and poisonous insects.

Ji Shuzhen was right in front of her, yet the energy orb, formed by condensed Nether Power, passed through the other’s body and dissipated into the void.

Witnessing this scene, Qin Ruan became vigilant, her complexion turning especially ugly.

She had gained a new understanding of the Saintess of the Witch Clan’s abilities.

"Qin Ruan, the next time we meet will be our life-and-death battle, and I will kill you with my own hands!"

This was the last sentence Ji Shuzhen left before departing.

Qin Ruan was reluctant to let Ji Shuzhen escape just like that, but disregarding the poisonous scorpions and snakes at her feet, she stepped forward, the Nether Power surrounding her body so ferocious that the immense pressure made it nearly impossible for anyone to approach.

A hand with distinct knuckles grasped her pale wrist.

"Ruanruan, a fight has broken out outside."

A deep, soft voice resonated in Qin Ruan’s ear.

In the few seconds of pause, Ji Shuzhen had already vanished from the room, and with her, Fusheng, who had been kicked away by the Third Master and crippled of all his cultivation.

With the person gone, it was already too late for Qin Ruan to stop her.

Upon hearing the Third Master say that a fight had begun outside, Huo Qiang, Huo Zhi, and Lin Hao, who were all ordinary humans, were certainly no match for the members of the Witch Clan.

Qin Ruan turned and quickly walked towards the door.

In the corridor, the Huo Family’s Hidden Guards were all at a disadvantage, being heavily suppressed by the Witch Clan’s Wizards.

Fortunately, the Hidden Guards had suffered no casualties.

Qin Ruan waved her hand, and Nether Power spread from her entire body, striking each of the Wizards in the corridor.

Suddenly, her cold gaze sharpened, fastening onto a middle-aged man in a gray robe, clutching his chest from the attack of the Nether Power.

His face was unfamiliar, but Qin Ruan was all too familiar with the aura he exuded.

It was this man who had plotted against her using the Huangjue Tree Demon.

Qin Ruan hurried forward, grabbing the collar of the man’s gray robe, she demanded in a stern voice, "What was in that bottle of Red Potion you gave to the Huangjue Tree Demon in West City last year?"

Upon hearing Qin Ruan’s inquiry, the middle-aged man in the gray robe showed no surprise on his face, instead revealing a smug expression that was both triumphant and loathsome.

Seeing his attitude, one could tell he wasn’t someone who would easily cooperate.

Qin Ruan threw the man to the ground and aggressively stepped on his back.

"Are you going to talk or not?!"

She knew that her methods wouldn’t make someone easily submit.

A blue flame ignited in the palm of Qin Ruan’s hand, a dazzling fireball about the size of a ping pong ball, passing like a streak of light through the man’s arm.

A piercing howl erupted, filled with despair and unspeakable agony.

The man’s arm caught fire and, in an instant, turned to ashes.

Qin Ruan bent down, her voice chillingly cold as she asked, "Tell me, what exactly was in the red potion you gave to the Huangjue Tree Demon all those years ago?"

"Just kill me!"

The middle-aged man clad in a gray robe was drenched in cold sweat from pain, yet he still clenched his teeth, refusing to submit.

Qin Ruan’s expression was cold and ruthless, and she sneered, "I won’t kill you. I’ll slowly torture you until you’re crying and begging to tell me!"

As soon as the words fell, she gathered a ghostly blue flame in her palm.

This time, she let it fall on the other arm of the man at her feet.

Like before, the man’s arm turned to ashes.

The screams were even more agonizing than before, the sound of despair in his howls chilling to the listener.

The Witch Clan members who had risen from the ground not far away were all deterred by this scene Qin Ruan had created.

Many of them showed faces of fear, while some were filled with anger, their venomous gazes fixed on Qin Ruan, wishing they could kill her quickly in retribution.

Finally, someone couldn’t hold back anymore, "Elder!"

The person who cried out in grief and indignation charged towards Qin Ruan, with a determination to perish together with her.

Qin Ruan felt the fluctuation of air currents behind her. Without turning back, her cold eyes fixated on the man at her feet, she demanded again, "Will you talk or not?"

The Nether Power she gathered at her feet was tormenting the middle-aged man’s body, making him suffer excruciating pain.

The Wizard charging at her from behind was intercepted by Wei Linchen halfway there.

Though not very powerful, Wei Linchen had no trouble dealing with a mere member of the Witch Clan.

Just as Wei Linchen subdued the Wizard who intended to sneak attack Qin Ruan, the other Witch Clan members began to slowly converge on him.

Fu Yuheng, seeing his brother targeted by the people of the Witch Clan, stepped forward to stand in front of Wei Linchen.

His eyes, dark and deep, coldly stared at the crowd: "Whoever dares come forward is courting death!"

This man’s strength was well recognized within the Witch Clan.

If it were just the Saintess’s kept boy, people wouldn’t respect and envy him. But knowing his capabilities, everyone hesitated, not daring to advance.

The middle-aged man under Qin Ruan’s feet had his arms burned to nothing by Hellfire, and the lingering pain in his body did not diminish with the disappearance of his arms; it even spread through his meridians.

Furthermore, with the torment from the Nether Divine Power, the middle-aged man couldn’t bear it any longer.

He looked as if he had been fished out of water, completely soaked, but it was from the pain.

"I’ll talk, I’ll talk!"

Qin Ruan’s red lips were tightly pursed, and she did not speak. She waited for him to provide her with the answers.

The middle-aged man, who was an elder of the Witch Clan, shakily spoke amidst his suffering: "It’s... it’s the blood of the Huo Family’s Third Master, only his blood can harm you!"

Upon his words, several Witch Clan Wizards dressed in blue robes couldn’t contain their anger and exclaimed, "Elder!"

They had not expected the elder to reveal the secret.

Qin Ruan was slightly stunned.

She too had not expected such an answer.

Recalling the moment she was injured by the Huangjue Tree Demon, the pain she felt, the worry and helpless panic for her child, Qin Ruan turned around looking through the corridor for that familiar figure.

At the door of the Witch Clan Saintess’s room, the tall and handsome figure was clearly reflected in her eyes.

He was neither too close nor too far from her, and most of the people present had heard the elder’s words.

Qin Ruan believed the Third Master heard every word clear as day.

Yet, his face showed no sign of surprise; his cultured and graceful countenance as gentle as ever, his deep eyes filled with the same tenderness and indulgence familiar to Qin Ruan.

Despite the short distance between them, Qin Ruan felt he was miles away from her.

She had never truly understood this man; he had always been unfathomable, always masking his indifference with gentleness.
