Chapter 1063: Chapter 1063: Grandpa Huo’s Dominant Wife Protection, Fengdu Emperor’s Aura Intimidates Female Puppet

The young woman did not believe what Qin Ruan had said, but her husband unconsciously shrank his body, showing an expression of extreme fear.

Qin Ruan coldly glanced at the man, her red lips moved slightly as she slowly spoke, "Mr. Ran, as the person concerned, shouldn’t you explain to your wife why your family of three is being haunted by the female puppet?"

"I don’t know! I don’t know anything!"

Ran Yuxi’s father, with an exceptional pace, disassociated himself, and a look of panic flashed across his otherwise unremarkable face.

A dangerous light overflowed from the depths of Qin Ruan’s eyes, and with a seemingly amused yet derisive expression, she mocked, "It seems you will not shed tears until you see your coffin."

Before the man could speak, his wife, livid with anger, pointed at Qin Ruan and retorted, "What are you talking about? It’s clearly your child who has done something wrong, and yet you push the blame onto us. Is this your attitude?"

Upon hearing this, Qin Ruan turned to look at the trio sitting on the sofa.

Huo Yao and Huo Anqi, one on each side, sat on their grandfather’s lap, looking up at her with adoring eyes.

In a gentle voice, Qin Ruan asked, "Ayao, Anqi, tell Mama what you did and said to little Ran Yuxi."

Huo Yao raised her little arm, speaking first, "There’s a female puppet in red following Yuxi. We told him, but he didn’t believe us.

To make him believe, Aqi allowed him to see the female puppet’s presence, but he was just too scared and fainted on the spot."

In their childlike words, an undertone of grievance inadvertently slipped out.

Huo Anqi also nodded in agreement, "Mama, that female puppet wanted to harm Yuxi. To make him realize the danger, I deliberately let him see the puppet’s true state without any repairs."

Hearing her youngest son boasting, Qin Ruan’s lips twitched slightly, her gaze involuntarily drawn to the female puppet floating behind the Ran family.

The figure was covered in blood, it was unclear if her clothing was originally red or had been stained red by blood at the time of death,

Looking at her vicious, twisted face, if not restored, it would clearly be the ghastly visage of someone who had fallen from a great height, shattered beyond recognition.

Even adults would struggle to eat for days after seeing such a bloodied and muddled face, let alone a child of a few years.

Rubbing her temples, Qin Ruan felt sympathy for little Ran Yuxi, wondering just how large his psychological shadow might be.

Huo Yao pointed towards the female puppet floating behind Ran’s father and made a startling statement, "Mama, she is Teacher Wang, our music teacher."

The young teacher standing in front of the desk, upon hearing Huo Yao mentioning the music teacher Wang Yue, trembled uncontrollably.

Her gaze, filled with shock, stared at the two young Crown Princes of the Huo Family, her face a mix of horror and dread, every hair on her body standing on end.

Clearly panic-stricken, the female teacher attempted to appear calm as she said to Qin Ruan, "Teacher Wang Yue was recruited as our music teacher this year. She went missing half a month ago, and despite contacting her family, we couldn’t find any trace of her, leaving the school with no choice but to report it to the police."

Qin Ruan’s tone was cold as she stated, "She’s already dead, her death was particularly gruesome."

While these words were directed at the female teacher, her eyes kept staring at Ran’s father.

The latter, holding his child, trembled slightly, not daring to meet Qin Ruan’s gaze, let alone look at his wife.

Little Ran Yuxi felt his father’s arms tightening around him to the point of discomfort and gasped, "Daddy, it’s very uncomfortable, don’t hold me so tight."

The man immediately loosened his arms, the sweat from his forehead dripping down, falling from his jawline onto the tender face of Ran Yuxi.

Seeing this scene unfold, the corners of Qin Ruan’s mouth lifted into a cold smile as she said to the child’s mother, "Madam Ran, my two sons have done nothing wrong besides being meddlesome; after all, what they’ve said is all true."

The young woman’s face still bore anger, but as she noticed her husband’s unnatural demeanor and Qin Ruan’s aggressive stance, she looked confused and lost.

At that moment, the man stood up holding Ran Yuxi and bellowed at Qin Ruan, "This is all nonsense, we won’t pursue today’s matter further, we’re leaving!"

He carried the child, took his wife by the arm, and headed for the door.

"Why the hell should I?!" The young woman exploded, pushing away her husband’s hand: "Our son is the one who was bullied, and you’re just going to cower like this?!"

The man was furious as well, shouting back at his wife: "Will you ever stop?!"

The more the woman observed her husband’s expression, the more guilty he seemed, so she asked with a frown, "What’s really going on with you?"

With red eyes, although clearly looking guilty, the man argued vehemently, "You know my status, don’t you? How would making a big deal out of this be of any benefit to us? I’m about to get a promotion, are you determined to ruin my career before you’re satisfied?"

The woman’s expression flickered, but then she said resolutely, "That’s a separate issue. Right now, we need to deal with our son being bullied!"

Qin Ruan stood to the side with her arms crossed, watching the couple argue.

She felt no sympathy for the couple who were outwardly united but inwardly divided; the only one she felt sorry for was their son.

The tears in young Ran Yuxi’s eyes were spinning around, fear creeping onto his tender little face as he looked at his mom and dad with utter confusion and helplessness.

Moved by compassion for the child, Qin Ruan spoke up again, "The incident has already happened. What you should be doing now is finding a solution, not fighting in front of your child. Don’t you realize this could cast a lifelong shadow over him?"

The woman turned and glared at her, "We don’t need you to interfere in our family matters. What you need to do is make those two kids apologize to our Yuxi!"

Qin Ruan shrugged her shoulders, "An apology is out of the question. Once you walk out that door today, I guarantee you won’t live more than three days."

She looked at the red-dressed puppet clinging to Ran’s father, a cold glint flashing in her eyes, her voice growing stern, "That ’puppet’ named Wang Yue has set her sights on you. You’d better ask your husband what he’s done to her, why she hates you so much that she’s not afraid to incur the guilt of murder to take your entire family with her."

Ran’s father felt uncomfortable on his shoulder, as though something was pressing down on him.

Holding his child with one hand and adjusting his tie, he said irritably, "I don’t even know her!"

Qin Ruan stared at the puppet’s swollen belly and snorted with laughter, "You don’t know her, yet the child in her belly is yours?"

Panic flickered through Ran’s father’s eyes as he stared at her incredulously.

He opened his mouth to say something, but he was too scared to utter a single word.

Upon hearing Qin Ruan’s words, Ran’s mother’s sixth sense as a woman blared with alarm, and she demanded, "What do you mean by that?"

Qin Ruan glanced at her coolly, "Madam Ran, you should verify this with your husband—it’s his sin that has been provoked."

Ran’s mother immediately confronted her husband, "What have you been doing behind my back?"

Ran’s father roared with a trembling voice, "You believe the words of a madwoman!"

Huo Yunjiao, seated with a relaxed posture on the couch, could no longer tolerate the couple’s repeated hostility towards Qin Ruan, and finally spoke up, "Sir, I suggest you treat my wife with more respect, or else I’ll make sure you learn that slander can lead to prison time."

Ran’s father directed all his rage at Huo Yunjiao, but when he met those deep and calm eyes, as impassive as a millennia-old frost, he babbled accusingly, "It was you who started this mess!"

Huo Yunjiao’s thin, sensuous lips curled slightly, her commanding presence leaking out as her gentle gaze settled on Qin Ruan, "Why not let them see this ’teacher’ named Wang Yue with their own eyes to know the truth?"

Qin Ruan stroked her chin, pondering, "Indeed, this would be the quickest way to discern the truth."

Ran’s mother, hearing the couple’s tit-for-tat, scoffed mockingly, "I’d like to see what tricks you’re planning to pull."

Ran’s father’s expression suddenly turned to one of panic, "No! I don’t want that!"

His emotional outburst was intensely agitated, revealing his guilt and fear for all to see.

For Ran’s mother, an atheist, she regarded Qin Ruan’s words as nonsense, a ploy to deflect blame.

However, her husband’s strange behavior instinctively told her as a woman that he was hiding something from her.

Amidst the couple’s guilt and suspicion, Qin Ruan gently raised her hands, and a flood of Evil Qi burst from her body, rapidly spreading throughout the moderately-sized office.
