Chapter 1255: Chapter 41: The Long-Cherished Wish Fulfilled

"It must be admitted that Mage Vivian’s new potions will assist ninety-nine percent of the Caster Profession in the Yarran World, and it’s no exaggeration to say that with the creation of these three new potions, numerous combat teams may find better solutions to crises and countless professionals’ lives may be saved," announced Antuin and Warrensen, along with the other six owners of the Tower of Alchemy, as they appeared at the entrance. The impact was so sensational that the reporters who had not been fooled by Mierlays’s deception were almost frenzied. Facing a multitude of Memory Crystals and a great number of scholars and Alchemists, Antuin and Warrensen gave way to each other politely. Then, President Antuin announced to the reporters, "It is a great honor for me to witness this historical breakthrough. Here, I proudly declare that the era of Master Streyn’s Alchemy that lasted for nearly two hundred and eighty years has come to an end today. The final three results of Master Streyn’s research will be replaced by Master Vivian’s new products, and Alchemy is set to begin a new Chapter in history."

"To highlight Mage Vivian’s achievements, the three new potions will be officially named after Miss Vivian. The specific names will be announced to the world soon," added Warrensen in cooperation. "The Guilds of the Kingdom of Mages and the City of Knowledge will join hands to produce and sell these potions. In the future, each Mage will be able to purchase these three potions in potion shops that have been officially certified by the Mage’s Guild. We will do our best to ensure the supply of these potions, allowing all of the Caster Profession to benefit from the enhancements the new potions provide."

"With these three potions, Master Vivian has been inducted into the Alchemy Hall of Fame by the Alchemy Association, and with the unanimous approval of the Mage’s Guild and the Kingdom of Mages, it seems that the Magic World Chronicle is due for an update," Antuin dropped another bombshell. The Magic World Chronicle is the official history of the Magical World, compiled by the Tower Mages, Dome Mages, and Forest Mages when Mages just began to restore communication. It records the important individuals and events that have influenced the Magical World since the Fourth Epoch. Due to its stringent criteria for inclusion, records in the Chronicle have been updated only once every decade or even several decades over the centuries. Therefore, it’s the ultimate recognition for a Mage to warrant an update in the Chronicle for their achievements. The last update happened forty-eight years ago when Master Philarx, with his paper on the application of overlay drawing in Nidification Arrays, sparked the update, which led to the arrival of the Golden Age of rapid development in Array studies. No one expected that the two powerful Mage forces would rate the new potions so highly, and everyone was so stunned that they could only gape at Antuin as he made these announcements.

"However, unfortunately, due to various reasons, Master Vivian cannot interact with everyone in person today," Antuin continued. "To make the new potions available to everyone as quickly as possible, she has to spend much time guiding product production within the Alchemy Association. However, I believe she will soon meet everyone at the academic exchange meeting at Starshine Tower to discuss related issues. But there is something I’d like to remind everyone of in advance: we do not wish to disturb her work, so please do not trouble her in private, in any form whatsoever. If the Guild receives a complaint from Master Vivian, the person complained about will face severe disciplinary action from the Guild."

"So, young lady, how does it feel?" Outside the Tower of Alchemy, it was noisy, but the inside was wrapped in silence. Almost no one knew that the main character causing the sensational effect, the blue-haired Mage girl, was still inside the Tower of Alchemy, standing shoulder to shoulder with Pannis at a landing window ten meters high, overlooking the bustling crowd through the one-way glass. Pannis nudged the young girl beside him with his elbow and asked with a chuckle, "The whole world has changed for you in a single afternoon. Not everyone can have such an experience. What are your thoughts?"

"Thoughts? Ha, this feeling is simply intoxicating," Vivian took a deep breath, slowly closed her eyes, spread her arms wide as if embracing the world, and whispered in a dreamy tone, "I’ve garnered the adoration and praise from the most authoritative figures, and the highest powers are wrangling like commoners, desperate to share the benefits my creation brings. Look below, countless scholars are cheering for my invention, listen up, numerous people are singing my name. Just by closing my eyes, I can feel those admiring gazes, those looks that gaze up at me as if I were a deity. How do I feel now? I feel almost too happy, happy to the point that every inch of my skin is shivering with delight."

"Many years of wishes have finally come true," Pannis said with a smile that was not quite a smile, "Now I don’t have to worry about collapsing quietly in some unknown corner and then being forgotten by the world. Whatever happens, your name will forever be recorded in the annals of history."

"Yes, there’s no need to worry anymore. My dream has come true," Vivian sighed lightly, turned her head, and took hold of Pannis’ strong, slender palm. She bit her lip, thought for a moment, then said in a low voice, "Thank you, Pannis. Not for leading me to discover those spores of the mushrooms, but for being by my side right now, witnessing this glorious moment with me, sharing my happiness."

"But there is one thing I don’t understand," Pannis, feeling the grip of her hand, said with implied meaning, "If you enjoy this feeling so much, why hide here? Why not agree to Antuin and Warrensen’s request to announce this news to the public? If you were standing down there right now, at their side, you could feel everything you wished for even more closely. Just think about it, being surrounded by countless admirers, at that moment you would be the center of the entire world. You could have all that, why did you refuse their invitation after all?"

"I also... don’t know," the young girl sighed, looking somewhat perplexed, "I just suddenly didn’t want to join them anymore, I can’t even understand why I feel this way."

"Ha, I see," Pannis nodded, then suddenly extended his hand like a gentleman, invitingly, "There is still some time before dinner. My beautiful young lady, may I have the honor of accompanying you for a stroll in this city?"

"Of course, you may." Vivian instinctively shrank back, then slowly placed her hand into Pannis’ inviting palm. With a shy look in her eyes, she nodded and said, "It would be my honor."
