Chapter 505 Rampaging Little Baobao
Chapter 505: Chapter 505 Rampaging Little Baobao
"Perhaps it’s a bit unfair, but first, I still have to complete my mission," Cu Chulainn’s body was overflowing with astonishing magical power, as he loosened his muscles, "That moon is indeed strange, but it has brought me real benefits—so, which of you will come at me first?"
"Such arrogance." Sandora huffed coldly, but I immediately stopped the girl who was ready to teach this arrogant fool a lesson.
"Indeed, the full power of a Heroic Spirit can almost increase several folds." I nodded at Cu Chulainn, whose Magic Power was not only astonishing in quantity but importantly, in its quality. Previously, even the most potent magic of a Heroic Spirit wasn’t too different from that of human magicians, at best it was more robust and purer, but now, Cu Chulainn’s magic power subtly carried a hint of something primal. It’s mysterious, hard to describe in words, but if I had to, it’s like the difference between man-made electricity and natural lightning—the former is merely a clumsy imitation by humans, while the latter represents the power of the world.
Such was Cu Chulainn, with a source of magic power being the world’s origin, as long as he had a brief time to recover, it was practically inexhaustible. Moreover, his combat skills could be fully unleashed, no longer restricted to the simple class of "Gunman." After such a double enhancement, he was nearly at the combat level of a lower-level sergeant of the Empire, and if he were logged into the World Tree, receiving further enhancement from a True God, his power could perhaps increase by another fifty percent. To find a tangible example, it would be akin to the combat power of a mass-produced Armored Scorpion.
Don’t be misled by the words "mass-produced." An Armored Scorpion is still an Armored Scorpion, and to compete with them in close combat, only racial heroes like Kane and Little Salufar from the world of Azeroth could manage it, and even they had to use desperate combat methods. This goes to show just how much potential the Heroic Spirits from the world of Fate truly have.
"Saber, it’s going to be difficult to deal with him like this, right?"
The golden-haired girl nodded, not the least bit ashamed to admit her current lack of strength: "If I were in a complete state, I’d have a ninety percent chance of victory, but now this body is merely a fragment, while the other has somehow attained his True Body. In such circumstances, I don’t stand much of a chance in combat."
"Medea, Medusa, Sasaki, the three of you and Sakura stay behind," I ordered, "You should be able to handle this level of combat power, right?"
"We are up for a fight!" Saber confidently nodded. Four Heroic Spirit fragments against one complete Heroic Spirit, even without Sakura using her crystal form, lethal to Heroic Spirits, their combined combat strength was more than enough.
Meanwhile, Cu Chulainn could only shrug in frustration: "I knew it would be like this. Well, might as well make it a gangbang; my responding to this summon didn’t have any other purpose anyway, I’m just here to fight."
Since his Servants were staying to fight, Emiya and Kagari Ge Mu naturally chose to stay as well. However, this scenario resembled a troupe of heroes setting out to defeat the Great Demon King, only to be intercepted and divided by various minor bosses along the way, leaving the Hero saying he would marry his best friend upon returning to heroically confront the Great Demon King alone. What on earth was this all about?
"Huh, what’s up with big brother?"
Seeing her big brother suddenly fall into an inexplicable state of dejection, mumbling strange spells like "I am no hero, I won’t get married when I return," Ilya hurriedly asked with a blend of curiosity and concern.
"Don’t worry, Director brother often acts like this," Tsuruya casually remarked. "Heavens knows what he was just imagining."
Okay, even my own step-sister is mocking me now. Might as well let this world be destroyed.
The distance was not great, and Yanfeng Church quickly came into view. The silent Grand Cathedral had not a sliver of light shining through, emanating a heavy atmosphere of death just like the deserted streets around it. With my Energy Perception, I sensed that Saber and the others had already engaged with Cu Chulainn. I was not the slightest bit worried about their battle; even though a Heroic Spirit’s True Body was incredibly powerful, on Saber’s side, there sat a Heroic Spirit Killer, Sakura. The battle was unfair from the start. All we had to consider now was that Cu Chulainn would likely become a worker for Avalon in a few minutes.
"Boring boring boring! Why must I, the King, be stuck with this menial task of doorkeeping? Even that lowlife Cu Chulainn gets to go out and fight, so why am I, the King, left in this godforsaken place?!"
Before we even entered the church’s main gate, a series of complaints from inside halted us in our tracks. Only then did I remember, Golden Shining... um, Lady Shining was still under Yanfeng Qili’s control—so the next minor boss to block our way, was her?
Having no time to criticize the design of facing one junior boss after another, I casually pushed open the grand doors of the church. Accompanied by the creepy creaking of the heavy wooden door, the golden-haired girl sitting boredly on the pulpit, swinging back and forth, appeared before us with a look of astonishment.
Golden shoulder-length hair, dressed in simple casual wear, the girl on the pulpit swung her legs idly in the air, her eyes already looking over here. It was almost as if by inertia, and before she could exclaim, "Wow," she continued to sway listlessly.
"Ah! It’s the enemy!"
The golden-haired girl immediately jumped down from the platform, pointing at us in a flurry, "Has that lowly Cu Chulainn finally kicked the bucket?"
"We’re outnumbering him, giving him a beating right now."
I shrugged my shoulders, facing this girl who claimed to be Gilgamesh, truly not having much desire to fight.
"Where is that fake priest?" Tohsaka didn’t bother to exchange pleasantries with the opponent and went straight to the point.
"He’s in the back." Lady Shining, confused, replied and kindly pointed at the small door beside us, "Go in here."
"Oh, thanks." I nodded, leading a group of violence-prone demolishers with their fuses lit forward.
The golden-haired girl scratched her head in a dazed manner, embarrassedly saying, "You’re welcome."
Everyone: "..."
Three seconds ticked by, and the great Hero King finally realized something, "Ah! You can’t go there! I’m supposed to stop you!"
Are you relying on your intelligence quotient that’s an absolute value of 9, you idiot?
Watching the golden-haired girl suddenly jump in front of us, ready to rumble with an imposing aura, even Sandora couldn’t help but snicker, "Ah Jun, how can there still be such a treasure in the world?"
"Hmph! You despicable lowlifes! Daring to make a fool out of me! Today, I will make sure you die as an apology!" The Heroic King girl was so agitated by our amusement that she nearly went mad, her magic power surging violently, "Yanfeng Qili that lowlife might still be of some use, but I am now the strongest, ahh!!"
Another complete form!
This was to be expected since Yanfeng Qili could use the power of the Red Moon to bring Cu Chulainn into the current world in his complete form, there was no reason he wouldn’t let the even more formidable Gilgamesh receive the same enhancement.
The golden-haired girl blocking our way overflowed with an unprecedentedly powerful magic energy, deep and pure. Tohsaka frowned, tightly holding two ready-to-launch magic gems in her hand, then turned her inquiring gaze toward me.
"Tohsaka, you and Ilya take your own Servants to find Yanfeng," I started assigning tasks without further ado, "Leave this idiot to us—Vega, you go with them too."
Thinking it over, I decided to send one more person along with them, even though Yanfeng was human, with the Red Moon’s help, who knows if he’d already acquired powers beyond human.
"Mm!" Tohsaka nodded vigorously, knowing that faced with such a powerful full-fledged Heroic Spirit, she wouldn’t even count as cannon fodder, and conversely, dealing with Yanfeng Qili, a human, was within her capabilities. And in our view, dealing with a powerful Heroic Spirit with an intellect less than 9 posed no danger, so she immediately agreed to my assignment.
Seeing the invaders about to bypass the defense right under her nose, the golden-haired girl, of course, couldn’t tolerate it. Her immense magic power erupted in an instant, the mere pressure of the energy turning all the church pews into flying debris. But the next second, a small thing that rapidly pounced in front of her made her scream in surprise and even forget about Tohsaka and the others who had already slipped into the back of the church.
"Dingdang is here! You still haven’t given Dingdang the candy you were supposed to give after the last robbery!"
The little thing was still dwelling on its first venture of highway robbery, and the moment it saw its previous target right in front of it, it seized the opportunity and dashed forward while I wasn’t paying attention.
Little Baobao also scurried up, babbling her opinions in an inarticulate manner.
Xyrin and Sandora both forcefully slapped their foreheads and said, "Great, another uncontrollable event is about to unfold."
"Ah, it’s you, you insignificant creature!" The golden-haired girl naturally hadn’t forgotten the strange being before her that had once brought her immense humiliation, as well as the little girl across the way, who was dressed in a pristine princess dress, looked no more than ten years old but had nearly infuriated her to death, "And you, you lowlife... Hahaha, great! I was upset that I had no way to exact revenge, but I didn’t expect you to deliver yourselves to my door! Last time, to suffer such humiliation, now I’ve regained the power of my prime, and you’re definitely going to die this time!"
"Umph, gah-gah-guh!" Little Baobao also declared war against the opponent with equal gusto.
The most powerful group of three idiots in history had finally, in a dramatic fashion, commenced battle!
But that was impossible...
Don’t expect any sort of thrilling fight when you have Little Baobao and Dingdang, two treasures of mischief, involved in the fray, and when their opponent happens to be a foolish girl with not much going on upstairs. In fact, the moment the Hero King habitually summoned her Wang Zhicaibao and Little Baobao’s eyes sparkled with excitement as she leaped up, the confrontation turned into a speechless circus show.
Gilgamesh was powerful, but her strength wasn’t really because of her own abilities but rather due to her possession of a supremely strong Treasure, Wang Zhicaibao. She used the powerful artifacts collected over her lifetime as weapons to bomb her enemies like a nouveau riche, a tactic that had made the Hero King the so-called strongest Heroic Spirit. Such tactics were invincible against any enemy, akin to Pandora’s Floating Gun Array, which was almost cheating. However, facing someone even more obsessed with collecting than her, Wang Zhicaibao was nothing more than a big free gift pack.
"Wowyaaa!!" Little Baobao was hopping around in a treasure hunt.
"Heyo-heyo..." Little Baobao dug out swords from the ground.
"Hehe, daddy, daddy!!" Little Baobao was showing off the pretty gems she had collected to her dad.
Xyrin and Sandora, Tsuruya, and the Pandora Sisters all sat on the ground in the chaotic church, surrounded by a picnic blanket, snacking and waving to Little Baobao and Dingdang, who acted as judges. Energy bolts flew chaotically inside the church, with explosions thundering everywhere, but because I had previously set up an energy barrier, none of these blasts propagated outside. After the sordid affair at the Emiya Mansion and the Makoto Family’s disappearance from the mortal world, I’d gained some experience after all.
"Damn it!!" The girl Hero King was panting heavily, seething with rage as she watched the little girl who continued her lively prancing and was eagerly awaiting more shiny gifts. The fact that she could not defeat a mere child even in her complete form was enough to make her lungs explode with fury, "If you didn’t possess the same abilities as this king, how could you... Well then, this king will have to take you seriously!"
Oh? So are you saying that you haven’t been serious all this time?
I curiously watched Gilgamesh. It hadn’t been entirely unexpected that she had been holding back; after all, as the proud Hero King, even in such a fit of anger, she wouldn’t really unleash all her trump cards against a little girl. It wasn’t any kind of compassion but simply the arrogance of someone in a superior position. But now, it seemed that Little Baobao was truly pushing her buttons.
A Magic Storm even more potent than before began to spread from Gilgamesh’s center. Her casual attire fluttered in the Magic Wind and gradually took on a golden hue before it began to morph. This curious transformation even made the fiery Little Baobao pause her movements, curiously watching the "kind big sister" change clothes in such a strange way.
Eventually, the girl Hero King completed her transformation. The simple casual wear was gone, replaced by a splendidly ornate Armor that shone with a golden light. Even though it had an air of garish new money, it did lend her a bit of an impressive and gallant air.
But...
Looking at the armor that hugged the contours of her body, I glanced thoughtfully at Little Pandora, who was quietly sipping tea beside me, and couldn’t help but sigh in my mind: Despite the significant height difference, could it be that in certain respects, that idiot is of Pandora Level?
"What are you looking at, Ah Jun!" Sandora immediately left a bite mark on my arm.
"Haha, scared you, didn’t I!" The girl, who had just been deemed super flat-chested, proudly watched Little Baobao, who was completely flabbergasted. At this moment, she probably forgot what she was here for; even if Sandora and I went around to the back of the church in front of her, she wouldn’t react. That’s what you call a single-track mind!
Did this person really have no idea why Little Baobao kept stealing her treasures?
Watching her proudly display her shiny armor, I finally confirmed another fact that could prove her intelligence, or lack thereof.
Indeed, the moment the silly girl finished speaking, Little Baobao suddenly sprang into action.
Like a bolt of lightning, truly like a bolt of lightning, stimulated by the "shiny objects," Little Baobao broke through the Xyrin Host’s limitations on mobility, accelerating on the spot to more than ten times the speed of sound and pounced straight at the shiny flat-chested idiotic Hero King!
"Ah! What are you doing! Let go! You lowly commoner, let go of me right now! What are your filthy hands doing! That spot... can’t be touched... hmm..."
At this point, all of us onlookers were dumbfounded.
The Hero King girl, radiating light from all over her body, was being hugged around her waist by a tiny girl only as tall as her waist. She wriggled and kicked but couldn’t break free at all. The latter’s strength was so tremendous that not even a Heroic Spirit could match it in brute force. Furthermore, stimulated by the shininess, Little Baobao had clearly entered some kind of frenzy. The shiny human-shaped object in front of her probably had ceased to be a biological entity in her eyes and was merely a continuously glowing "nice thing." Watching Little Baobao eagerly drag Lady Shining toward us, I just knew that today, besides Cu Chulainn, we were going to capture another Heroic Spirit.
And she was going to be collected by Little Baobao...
"Damn it! You despicable commoner! Let me go quickly," the golden-haired girl continued her futile struggle, leaving two deep grooves on the floor with her feet, but still unable to stop the madness of the little girl, "Wang Zhicaibao!"
In the face of ineffective resistance, the Hero King finally chose such a mad action, letting the little girl hold her and then summoning countless wavering spatial passages from thin air—and the focal point of those passages was herself!
Does that mean you’re fighting to the death to protect your "virtue"?
"Yi ya ya~!~!" Little Baobao also noticed the ripples in the air. Having witnessed them several times before, she instantly realized that these ripples were the sources of many "shiny things." After less than a second of thought, the little girl took an action that left everyone agape.
She jumped up and then lay on top of the spatial passage closest to her.
The little one intended to go in!
Of course, the spatial passage would not allow such a brutal intrusion. Little Baobao bumped directly onto those seemingly illusory ripples, making a loud "thud." She puzzledly muttered to herself, then suddenly thrust her small hand vigorously toward the center of the ripples. With a loud cry of "Yi ya," she actually penetrated the passage that, in theory, could not be invaded by physical matter.
Only then did I realize that at some point, Little Baobao’s eyes had turned into a crystal clear sky blue, and her hand, which was half plunged into the spatial passage, appeared half-transparent like a phantom.
Sandora watched this scene in amazement, then said incredulously, "That child... she’s actually trying to decipher the mechanism behind Wang Zhicaibao, and she’s nearly succeeding."
Little Baobao, just how strong is your obsession with shiny things!
