Chapter 137

Six months upon waking up from the curse, Yanarym graduated from the Academy with Kraig and Lyndon. The three of them decided to proceed with their relationship---but one at a time. They had agreed that she would have three months each for the three of them. It was a rotation, and after six months, when it was Matteo’s shift, she had to leave with Matteo.

Exactly at this present, the six months were over, and she had to say goodbye to Kraig and Lyndon. Tonight she had to ascend with Matteo and he was insisting that they should leave as soon as possible.

Too impatient.

The three of them were after all very alike.

"Good morning, Teo." Her eyes blinked upon waking up, Matteo greeted her view with his shredded abs. He was walking topless to her room as he prepared her breakfast in bed.

He was not having any sex with her for the past six months. Although he was not desperate, he would try to seduce her. Like today, he was tempting her again, Yanarym smiled and yawned. ’What a man.’ If he needed to, he could get ’that’ with another woman.

If he dares, of course.

"Good morning," He put the breakfast on the side table and kissed her lips, and pulled her to sit up. "Lena left for her vacation, she can’t handle witnessing you ascend."

Yanarym nodded and took her breakfast and started eating. Because she was leaving, she had to say goodbye to her mother as well. Lena, after all, was a good mother to the original and her.

Lena had long acknowledged that this time would come when her daughter had to ascend with Matteo. Although she was happy for her daughter not to be reincarnated as a mortal who would have to suffer an endless cycle of an ill-fate. She was also melancholy to be parted from Yanarym. So, Yanarym told her to go on adventures, take a vacation and just think that she was married to a foreign land.

Because Tiana died and she had taken over Kraig and Lyndon, there was no more threat to Lena, she could have the happy ending like the original wish. Yanarym could leave this world at ease.

"Did you have enough fun already?" Matteo sat beside her and watched her gobble her food.

For the past six months, he didn’t touch her or complain about sharing her with the two mortals. He let her have her fun.

"Yes." She nodded her head and turned to him. "I’m gonna visit each one of them before I leave tonight. I will bid my final goodbye." She added and Matteo’s brows furrowed.

"Didn’t you say goodbye to them already?"

"Yes, but I have to say goodbye again, I have to get back something they took from me." She casually said and Matteo didn’t ask what it was instead embraced her small frame.

"You can’t go back here when we ascend, I’m not letting you go back to this world... Once you marry me in heaven, I will detain you there." Yanarym laughed at his childish behavior. "You can’t even visit your concubines."

"What?" Yanarym laughed louder, "Concubines? We’re not even married yet and you are announcing that they are my concubines?"

"What should I call them? Your flings?"

"Whatever, Teo," she tittered and drank her milk. "I’m going to take a bath, I will return tonight."

"Can I join you?"

"No," she said firmly and kissed his cheeks. "We had an agreement, you can’t until I’m your wife." She stood up from the bed and smiled at him mischievously. "Clean up." She said and walked into the bathroom.

"You are my wife," Matteo muttered under his breath. He looked at himself and grumbled. He tried his best to entice her but it wasn’t working at all. He looked at the breakfast she finished and sighed. "Tsk," maybe he needed to make his divine body a lot more alluring and handsome.

Yanarym took off her clothes and didn’t even bother locking the door. She knew Matteo would not break the pledge he made.

That was, one, he would not interfere with her life until she ascended with him. Two, no sex without her approval. Three, he cannot harm Kraig or Lyndon. That was a God principle-promises shouldn’t be broken unless an exceptional thing happened. She stepped on the clouds and it began to rain, soaking her body from head to toe.

She shut her eyes and recalled the memory installed in her brain when she was in a coma because of the curse. It was like a hidden walkthrough was unlocked after the curse was bestowed on her.

Azkin’s past and Matteo’s involvement, why she was thrown on Xleyl, how she met Francis and Mia how she died, and the lives she lived before she became the original.

That was right, it was not Tiana, she was not Azkin, because the real Azkin was her, Yanarym. Or she could say, Azkin was the original... Yanarym was confused at first but after unraveling all of the past events, and how it all started, she was ascertained.

Her past replayed from how Azkin was deeply in love with Matteo, and Matteo did not want her—he did not want Azkin. She was sent to Xleyl to move on from him. So, she did her best to find someone that she could love instead of her brother. That was when Mia and Francis appeared, and because Francis had huge similarities with Matteo- Azkin fell for him.

Believing that someone similar to her brother liked her too. Azkin was so happy by the thought that her heart was appreciated, that she became a lovesick fool for Francis. Yet, it did not take long before it became twisted, she found out Mia and Francis were only feeding her with delusions. Scared to get abandoned for the second time, like how Matteo abandoned her. She did all Francis asked her for.

The dreams that played on Tiana’s head were real. It all happened, Francis made love with her in the cave, then the next day, he told her secret to Mia. They went to a meadow, and Francis said he liked one pretty girl. Nevertheless, those dreams were like an edited movie, it was specifically cut for Tiana. All of the pain Azkin had gone through was compiled only for Tiana to experience.

In reality, they could not physically hurt Azkin, they were mere humans. Since that was the case, they waited for an opportunity to ambush Azkin; by waiting, they’d been stuck with her for years.

Throughout those years- that the three of them were together, Francis eventually fell in love with Azkin- he did. Azkin snatched his heart and he became obsessively in love with her and Azkin reciprocated the same intensity of his love. They were happy. Madly, in love.

Mia was miserable though---she desired Francis but he got tired of her bogus and greed. When he began to appreciate Azkin’s unconditional love for him, his affection for Mia deteriorated. He got addicted to that overwhelming devotion of Azkin. Mia only thought of herself, while Azkin thought of him first.

Losing Francis, Mia’s ego was trampled. She felt ridiculed. Francis was hers and she coveted everything that Azkin had.

She searched high and low to find a flaw in Azkin, but she couldn’t seem to discover one. Not until she uncovered who was Azkin’s true love, it was not Francis but Matteo. Mia told Francis the truth, at first he doubted it, but when Azkin told him that her first love was Matteo. He became adamant. The fear Azkin had, Francis felt it too. He did not want to be abandoned. The insecurity of being a mortal was slowly destroying him and their relationship.

He began to torment Azkin. He bluffed that he loved Mia to hurt her and make her suffer. He was successful.

Mia managed to fool the two and make Azkin confess that her heart would solely belong to one man, and that was Matteo. Other than Matteo, everyone was no one to her, and Francis was only Matteo’s substitute.

Francis heard everything, he became heartbroken and made himself drunk with his misery. He was intoxicated and furious that he lost his mind for a second and he stabbed Azkin with a knife.

As she bled profusely, she was crying but she smiled at Francis and told him she was sorry. He knew what that apology meant, she conceded, she never loved him. The one she loved was the man she ’sees’ in him. Words could not explain how he felt, the betrayal was too much. Francis lost his mind, the resentment he had for her, made him murderous. He wanted to kill her but he could not live without her.

Whilst he was having inner conflict, she pledged. In exchange for the deception she did to him, Azkin gave Francis the right to penalize her for her five reincarnations. He pleaded her love would only be his.
