Chapter 126

"Belongs to him? you may be her mother, Professor. But you don’t have the right to announce who she belonged to." Kraig silently clenched his fist. That did not sound so right in his ears.

"Yes, it is not my right but I am only stating the fact, she may have fallen in love with you Kraig. But Yanarym belongs to Matteo."

"I am asking who the fuck is Matteo, Professor." Lyndon huffed.

Matteo, and Kraig... Why were they only the ones she kept on mentioning? Yanarym was in love with him, not any of the two! Why was he the one who was excluded in the narrative?!

Lena shifted his eyes on Lyndon, "Matteo is the first son of God, he’s not a human. He only asked me to process his identity to stay right beside Yanarym."

Both Kraig and Lyndon were speechless, the information was getting out of hand, each word that was spoken by the professor was bewildering and too much that they felt they were too dumbfounded to understand. They couldn’t comprehend any of it anymore.

"... How did she become his bride?" Kraig was the one who first recovered. Son of God, bride, curse, death, Matteo...

It was too much, how many secrets did Yanarym keep from him?

"As you all know, Yanarym didn’t come from me. She was adopted, when I took her under my care I knew she was special, there was something about her that was always special. Then, not long enough, as she was beginning to walk, Matteo appeared in our lives. He took care of Yanarym’s ill-fate."

"Ill-fate?"

"She is meant to die young... She was meant to be killed by the person she loved the most. That was her fate."

"H-ho...how do you---I don’t understand, what are you saying?" Kraig crumbled.

’Die Young, ill-fate? Lover, killer?’

"Matteo told me. We can’t do anything about it, and just like how it was predicted, her fate to the death door was opening again."

"How can you be so sure that he was telling the truth!? He could be a fraud who wanted Yanarym for himself!" Lyndon shouted although it was hard to understand. He knew this wasn’t a joke. A god wanted Yanarym to be his wife. And Yanarym was meant to die young... on the hands of her lover.

They both thought it was ridiculous at the same time, they both felt terrified. If that was true, either one of them would become her killer. They knew that they would never dare to hurt Yanarym to the point that she would die. If Kraig would think that if Lyndon would cause her death, then he would just be admitting that Yanarym was not in love with him but with Lyndon. Lyndon thought likewise.

"Then, why did she become his bride? Did you offer her life to him? In exchange for salvation? Is he trying to save her life right now? Is he changing her fate?" Kraig kept on asking.

"No, Matteo cannot change her fate. But he was trying to give her a peaceful death, and save her soul before she went through reincarnation."

"I can’t follow." Lyndon clenched his fist, now they were talking about reincarnation. How did the event escalate to this?!

"Yanarym’s life---before she was even Yanarym at this present. She was living a miserable life, it was the continuous cycle of agony. In my theory, someone did this to her for an exchange, this cycle of unending tears for one certain revenge."

"What are you talking about Professor? Are we even talking the same language?"

"This might be her fifth or tenth life..." Lena whispered, "So, stop making my daughter go through another suffering. Let her have her peace with Matteo."

On the first day of Yanarym’s curse being implemented, her source of life deteriorated so fast that Matteo had to put her body in his space to restrict time from moving.

He had no idea what she was going through because of the curse but he was sure that she must be suffering a lot. If he could, he would go to her realm and save her from there. But that was her battle and his fight was here to save her from the exterior misery.

Her pain---his eyes sharpened in anger---his thought were filled with murderous intent.

Those men were her pain, they caused her too much agony, they gave her so much heartache. He held her hand and intertwined her fingers with his fingers. She grew up, but she was still so small. Everything about her was too tiny and fragile. It kept him thinking that he had to protect her every single time.

He just finished bathing her body, cleaning the black spots undertaking to infiltrate through her heart. Whoever it may have done this to her was such a loathsome person.

Matteo won’t be merciful if he caught the culprit who was terrorizing Yanarym’s mentality and tormenting her physical body. That person inflicting her harm was desperate to make Yanarym suffer so much.

His free hand brushed along her naked body, the holy water that was cleaning her was turning black each time a spot would appear to eat her flesh. But Matteo would immediately purify it. He pulled her closer to him and kissed her lips injecting her another set of life-energy-power.

Matteo knew this day would come, her misery would transpire before his eyes. Nevertheless, holding her lifeless body was too much for him. Although death didn’t scare him, he was in sorrow because she was in pain. And even though he was the second most powerful being in this world, he couldn’t do anything for her. It was aggravating him.

"Everything’s gonna be alright, Rym." He whispered to her ear and embraced her tenderly. "Everything’s gonna be fine, I promised. Just hold onto me, alright?" He uttered again, but those words were more likely for himself. "I will not let your soul reincarnate as human again, I will marry you in heaven and will live there happily, I promise you." He saw another black spot appear on her shoulders, he gritted his teeth and kissed that area, healing her body again...

"Francis..." Azkin was struggling on the ground, she was bleeding. The excruciating pain from her flank where Francis stabbed her was making Tiana cry. "I-I...I’m s-sorry." Azkin stuttered, she was crying so hard, she kept on crawling away from Francis and he was menacingly staring at her. Tiana was standing not so far and she was smiling.

"She has to die, Francis. Cooking her alive is too cruel." She said fervently.

’He would eat her, he would eat her!’ Tiana shrieked, she wanted to run away. The fear of being stabbed and chopped and boiled came through her mind. She did not want to go through that again!

"You have to die," Francis muttered, he yanked her hair and pulled her, he squatted onto the ground and leaned his face close to her. "You need to die, Azkin. I still have to cook your delicious meat."

"NO!" Tiana sprung from the ground.

She was hiding in her turf for the past few days and as she awoke, she absentmindedly stared at the ground. Her dreams were not impending, the charade of betrayal and desperation was still playing, it kept on going and going and going.

"Stop!" She cried loudly, realizing that she came back to reality.

In the dream, she already died four times, Azkin died four times, she died as Azkin four times! But she was back to square again, on how it began, it was replaying on her head.

The meadow of flowers, Francis’ misleading words, the cave, the emotions, the secret, the decisions, the life, the death, and the ending.

She kept on dreaming it all over and over and over again. Although she knew very well what would happen and how it would go, she cannot get used to the pain. The anguish was intensifying, and the memories were killing her on the inside.

She felt going crazy, she felt dying. Francis, she wanted to be with Francis, her heart was aching for Francis. And her hatred was directed at Mia, she wanted to kill Mia!

Yanarym was Mia, which was why, every time Tiana awoke from that dream. And if she saw that the candle of Yanarym’s life was still lit, she would add a further scourge into the curse. Casting the curse with nastier content and a lot more destructive. If she could not kill Mia in that dream, she would make Yanarym agonize in this retrospective. Making Yanarym wish that she would just die instead of feeling the pain. Like what Tiana was going through.

Nonetheless, black magic had its disadvantages. Each time she drew a ritual and prayer to the altar it would lessen her life span. In addition, her dreams were deteriorating her life, she was not far from Yanarym’s condition. She would die if she kept it on, but that won’t matter. If she dies, Azkin would be freed from this body and she would ascend as a goddess. But Yanarym’s soul would be engulfed by the darkness, everything that Tiana was going through would be worthy.
