World After Worlds
Chapter 341 - 341: § THIS WAS WEIRD, WAS IT NOT? §

Tiana was staring in a daze at the window from the current classroom. She could hear the professor speaking but she could not understand the words. Like the words would enter her right ear and left through the left ear.

Her complexion was better these days, her cheeks would always be painted in pink, and her lips were always rosy and plump. It was her bare face—no artificial enhancer—it was caused by Lyndon's utterly shameless physical intimacy with her.

Even though today was inexplicably sunny and hot outside, four req inside their classroom was enough to regulate the heat. So, that was not the reason for her flushed cheeks. Lyndon was holding her hand and playing with her fingers while his eyes were rooted on the front. He was applying pressure on her hand as if he was massaging her. Who knew after the whole year of courting was not enough for her to get used to him? He surprised her every time.

True to his words last summer, when he told her he would court her, he did. However, she could not say that they were really in the courting process because she was pretty sure that suitors cannot hold hands or be intimate with the woman they were courting. As time was passing, Lyndon was getting a lot more physical with her but at some point, he limited himself just by holding hands. Tiana thought that he was beginning to become a gentleman but sometimes thought that he was also starting to get tired of her playing hard to get and conservative reaction from him.

"I know this was a little early for this project but just for the students of this class who will become my students for the advanced practice of medicine in their senior year. Everyone has to prepare for their graduation requirement."

This was the herbal class, specified for students who were aiming to cultivate their healing abilities or were just simply interested in the subject. They were in the year when they should finally have their specified classes.

Tiana was blessed with little mana to become a witch, she had the opportunity to have a variety of choices of her skills to cultivate. Before she was watchful of Yanarym and knew Yanarym wanted to become a potion brewer. Unconsciously, Tiana developed an attachment to potions as well. Because she thought there was something that she could do that Yanarym was not qualified with. Tiana was proud of that and last year she imagined herself in the potion class, belittling and irritating Yanarym.

Nonetheless, she never thought that she would end up following Lyndon to pursue his interest in medicine and herbs. She had planned to enroll herself in the potion class for this year however she was not confident that Lyndon would be with her in that class so she backed out and followed him instead. Although he said and declared to her that he would become her suitor meaning that he would please her… Tiana did not take that to heart—she could not attain to believe that Lyndon would do things to satiate her. He was never the type that would bend to someone even to her, he won't lower his head. She knew how much he valued his pride and dignity.

She was right.

Lyndon did not inquire with her which class she would take to cultivate her skills. Rather, he informed her to enroll in his classes—informed, because all was already settled, he was the one who managed her school stuff during the enrollment last academic year. She did not have a choice but to be with him. He was oppressive… no, that was not it. He was very overbearing with each of her business and interaction with people. He liked being in control. He looked busy just becoming a very attending student, she could not understand did he still manage to pay so much attention to her.

In all fairness, Lyndon was very serious in listening to the lectures; they had never missed a lesson. She was forced to be with him always and she could not say it was such a bad thing. They were diligent students and the possibility of becoming top of their batch was not a surprise.

Tiana also surmised that his seriousness in taking this class had something to do with the fact that Lyndon could not utilize his ability whenever he wanted to because it would shorten his lifespan. Because the lineage of Lyndon was inclined toward healing abilities he was somehow very interested to pursue curing people. Though Tiana thought it was futile because, in the end, Lyndon could not become a healer, he was meant to become the next leader of this town.

This third year came and they were like glue to each other. The only time that they could be separated was whenever they needed to go home. Lyndon was very clingy, Tiana had even given the conclusion that Lyndon could not last a day without her.

He could not be apart from her for more than twelve hours. That was when after class, the specific time was from eight in the evening to early eight in the morning. On their vacant days when there were no classes, he would often tell her that they should travel from there to anywhere.

When her identity as a fake azkin was revealed, some were disdainful yet she found out after some time it was not a big deal when she was found out. In the first place, many adults knew she was not an azkin. They remained silent about her identity because claiming what she said was real would bring some ray of light to this town. After all, azkins' existence brought purpose to this place.

People who were annoyed by her because of her audacity to say that she was an azkin, could not touch even the strand of her hair. Lyndon was not showing it yet Tiana knew, he did things so no one could bully her anymore.

"That's all, class dismissed." The professor left the room and the students began to talk to each regarding their graduation requirements. Some were discussing the summer classes that were necessary to take if one was thinking of leaving the town.

Speaking of summer vacation, it would not take long and summer vacation would arrive. That was why Lyndon asked her to be with him on a week-long tour to an island out of town. Without much contemplation, she declined him. She was not certain if she could handle the situation of being with him in a house; just the two of them for the whole week. It would be too awkward, especially now that she could not regulate her beating and panicking heart whenever they were together. She would be crazy when they would be left alone for an hour.

One year was not long, yet it was not too short either. During the whole time, gradually she was falling for Lyndon. It had been months since they had started their third year. She would sometimes see Yanarym and Kraig in the hallway but most of the time they wouldn't be able to see each other in the academy. Their schedules were not aligned and that helped her not to associate with those two very much. Her mind, body, and heart were always occupied with Lyndon's strangeness that she had now become accustomed to. Lyndon never gave her the chance to get a thought for Kraig.

Eventually, she was not missing Kraig anymore. She could not say that she had moved on from Kraig because there were still ripples whenever she would meet Kraig's eyes. Yet those thoughts immediately flushed away because of Lyndon.

"I…" she dragged her statement and that made Lyndon look in her direction. "I think we can go to the vacation house you were saying but… not for a week." She suggested and his eyes stared at her without emotion. His fingers stopped pressing her hand and clasped their hand in intertwined. She gulped and repressed herself to make a more embarrassing reaction but could not stop her cheeks from burning from their eye contact.

Lyndon is handsome. Devilishly good-looking. That was not fatuous praise. His lazy eyes, stern straight lips, pointed nose, and defined jawline were all in the right places that were giving him the sense of some kind of intensity. It matched his personality. His temperament was generally giving him a different charm from Kraig who was gentle and warm to anyone.

"Five days." He said she was about to retract when he leaned close to her face. That startled her. "No more objections, Tia." It was her who looked away.

This was weird, was it not?

Lyndon was the one who was originally into her. He was the one who liked her however, she was the one who would always get flustered and be awkward with him. Her beating heart was so loud she feared he would hear while he sat there without any reaction.
