Chapter 731: Chapter 57: I am glad we have reached a consensus.

The nobles in the square looked at each other, and after a moment, a rugged voice rose.

"We are all vassals of the Figrola family, we’ll follow you, we’ll fight if you say fight."

Clovis sighed, "I believe none of you are afraid of death, but we cannot win. His Majesty couldn’t defend Lion Heart Castle, what do we have to hold Rock Snow City with?"

"We must show those Wing Tribe people our might," said the speaker, Sheriff Brian.

"And then what?" Clovis countered, "I have read many histories, do you know what they all have in common?—they are written by the victors."

"A thousand years ago this land was ruled by the Enríquez family, but where is the Enríquez family now?"

Brian fell silent.

"There is no eternal reign," Clovis said, "changes in dynasties are normal, and all we can do is survive. Those who don’t wish to follow the Figrola family back to the Northern Territory, I can release you from your vassalage, let it be so."

Having said this, Clovis turned and prepared to leave.

However, Lannita then said, "Hold up that old man, I haven’t finished speaking."

Clovis stopped at these words.

"Who is Brian?" Lannita asked with a smile.

The sheriff of Rock Snow City looked somewhat puzzled but still stepped forward, "It’s me."

Lannita turned to Ivan, "Tell them, Lord Solomon will not recognize any lands or titles from the Red Lion Empire, however, the person who kills Brian can keep their own fief."

The former chief of intelligence’s expression changed slightly, "Is it necessary to say this here and now? We are still in Rock Snow City, and why do you suddenly want to kill Brian?"

"I heard he once cut off one of my tribesman’s arms, and later that tribesman died in his dungeon. I’m already being merciful by just wanting his life.

"Just translate as I’ve said. The White Queen is still here, if anyone dares to lay a hand on us, the White Queen will teach him a lesson,"

Lannita stated with an unquestionable tone.

Ivan had no choice but to translate with some trepidation.

The square became quiet for a moment, but then erupted into a chorus of curses and anger. Clovis also said in fury,

"I’ve already agreed to your demands, to leave the Western Territory, why must you harass us over such a trifle?"

"Trifle? This is no trifle," Lannita shook her head, "No one can kill a member of the Wing Tribe and go unpunished. That has always been our rule. Is anyone here willing to challenge it?"

The girl’s gaze turned icy in an instant as it swept over everyone present.

Some lowered their heads, while others met her angry gaze.

Just then, the man in question, Brian, suddenly drew his sword and shouted, "If you want my head, come and take it!"

After speaking, he charged at the girl and the former intelligence chief.

However, having run only two steps, everything went dark before his eyes as something enveloped him entirely.

Brian smelled a foul odor and swung his sword wildly, but in the next moment felt a sharp pain at his waist.

Others only saw the White Dragon suddenly bite down, and the sheriff was left with only two legs on the ground.

Because everything happened so fast, Brian didn’t die immediately. His arms continued to wave in the air, his sword hacking at the White Dragon’s scales, clanking without leaving even a scratch.

The people who had been indignant on Brian’s behalf were suddenly calmed.

They had almost forgotten that such a monster was present, and what made them even more despondent was that the Wing Tribe had two more of these monsters.

Clovis was right. This was a war that simply couldn’t be won.

"Tsk tsk, such a pity," Lannita listened to the sound of the White Dragon chewing, its sharp teeth easily tearing and crunching the sheriff’s flesh and bones together before swallowing them.

"You’ve just lost the right to keep your own land, but that’s okay." Lannita continued, "There’s another chance. Whoever kills the target this time can become the new master of the Western Territory."

Hearing this, everyone was stunned.

"Who else do you want to kill?" Clovis asked, "Me?"

The old man pondered for a moment, thinking that out of everyone present, he was probably worth killing the most.

But that would mean that Lord Solomon had completely abandoned the Figrola family, and there was no need to return the Northern Territory land to them anymore.

"No, I said no one can kill a member of the Wing Tribe without punishment, and that person didn’t just kill one Wing Tribe member, she even killed one of our dragons."

"You’re going to target Sir Irelia?" Romero exclaimed upon hearing this.

"Not us, you," Lannita said. "Whoever can kill Irelia and that fellow named Merlin by her side can replace the Figrola family as the new master of the Western Territory.

"These are Lord Solomon’s exact words, and everyone present today can bear witness."

"Sir Irelia is a hero of the Western Territory," someone said, "we all owe her a debt of gratitude."

"She is also our enemy," Lannita shrugged, "and I seek every means to destroy my enemies."

"I am sorry, but I cannot comply with your order," Romero said, "I will not lift a hand against Sir Irelia, no matter what."

Lannita was not concerned, and she turned to Clovis, "Please relay this order to all the nobles of the Western Territory."

Clovis was still hesitating.

Lannita blinked, "I liked what you said about the change of dynasties. You seem like a smart man. So do something smart, like your ancestors... did."

"The Arias family are my vassals. If I really did as you say, who would become our vassals in the future?" Clovis’s voice trembled with anger.

"That’s not my problem," Lannita said carelessly, uttering a strange syllable from her mouth.

Afterward, the White Giant Dragon beside her raised its head and let out a roar; then everyone saw it take a deep breath and spew a long flame into the sky.

The high temperature bent the hair and eyebrows of the people standing too close.

The Giant Dragon breathed fire for quite a while before closing its mouth again.

Lannita asked, "So, does anyone else object?"

She waited a moment but, seeing that no one else spoke up, clapped her hands and said, "Good, I’m pleased we’ve reached a consensus. Now, let’s get moving. Those who are late won’t be able to become the masters of this land, hahaha."
