Chapter 67: 064 Chaos_2

After landing, he spat out fresh blood, and his weapon dropped to one side.

"Kill them!" fr\eewe.bn(o)v\el.c(o)m

Water had a burly physique and a brutal-looking face; already boasting a fierce appearance, it now revealed an even more murderous intent.

"Kill them all!" he roared. "Let’s see who else dares to spout nonsense!"

"Quite the bold claim!" Before Water could finish speaking, a figure clad in dark armor had already charged close. .com

"I’d like to see what skills you possess," the figure declared.

Gale Slash!

Eight streaks of sword light converged into a luminous curtain, pressing down on Water with terrifying force as the gale howled.

CLANG!

Water swung his spear to block, his expression involuntarily changing.

A Knight? Such great strength!

FLASH!

Before he could even adjust his breath, a blinding light suddenly flared before his eyes, causing him to instinctively shut them.

Flash Technique!

This is bad! Water’s heart pounded as he quickly retreated.

"Thinking of fleeing?" Carl snorted. "Too late!"

Lesser Spell Force Field!

Eagle Strike!

Gale Slash!

Flash Technique, though only a Zero-Circle Magic, he found often had ingenious uses in combat.

With continuous broad sword strikes, the overwhelming force pressed against Water, forcing him to retreat repeatedly. In the blink of an eye, he was already showing signs of being overwhelmed.

"Die!" Carl roared.

Flames suddenly erupted on his broad sword.

Fire Seal!

BOOM!

The Fire Seal, carrying immense force, sent Water flying, his armor plates scattering, breaking an unknown number of his ribs.

After landing, he still tried to struggle to his feet.

Carl stepped forward, planted a foot on Water’s chest, then raised his broad sword high and thrust it down fiercely.

SHINK!

The blade pierced his heart, extinguishing his life force.

"Xiaonan!"

"Ah!" Xiaonan was stunned for a moment before running over.

Carl grabbed the pack from Xiaonan’s back, flung it into the sky, and simultaneously swung his broad sword to slice it open.

WHOOSH!

Numerous precious items like Exotic Beast Meat, Dharma Seeds, and other valuables scattered in all directions like rain.

"Everyone!" Carl raised his hand, launching a Fireball at a City Guard soldier. "Kill them! All these items are yours!"

BOOM!

The flames exploded. The soldier, screaming, rushed into a house, which then burst into an intense blaze.

This fire didn’t just ignite on him; it also ignited in the hearts of the many onlookers. Their breathing grew rapid, and their eyes began to gleam with intense desire.

Carl raised his hand again. One Fireball after another flew out, hurled at the surrounding houses, tents, and City Guard soldiers.

"The City Guard members are all exploring the Forgotten City, so there aren’t many on the surface! And I’ve already killed Water!"

"What are you afraid of?" Carl bellowed, holding his broad sword high. "Kill them! Pick up the items on the ground, grab the weapons in your hands, and seize what should rightfully be yours! Show me if you have the guts!"

"Haha..." Mengde the Minstrel laughed loudly, "That’s the spirit! Kill!"

As he spoke, he brandished his sword and charged toward the City Guard troops.

CLANG!

Someone slowly drew their Longsword.

"That’s right!" someone whispered, a hint of frenzy appearing in their lifeless eyes. "It’s time to make them pay!"

"To hell with them!" another roared, charging towards the Exotic Beast Meat on the ground. "Mine! It’s all mine!"

WHOOSH!

In an instant, the beast that had always lurked within the people of Black City awakened, spurred on by the chaos and desire.

An UPROAR erupted!

The crowd began to stir restlessly as chaos started to emerge.

"Go!" Carl pulled Xiaonan and Leon aside, whispering, "Go find Ayala and the others."

"Uncle," Xiaonan, still heartbroken over the contents of her pack, blinked and asked, "What do we do next?"

"Get out of the city!" Carl declared. "Leave Black City!"

Carl hadn’t expected that his mere attempt would trigger such a massive disturbance. In just a moment, Raka Market had descended into chaos, and the unrest was spreading further and further.

"A City Guard Knight has been killed! What’s there to fear?"

"Charge!"

"Brothers, what are you waiting for? Loot!"

The shouts and cries continued.

The people of Black City, having endured the oppression of the City Guard for so long, became frenzied at this glimmer of hope. They pounced on the City Guard soldiers, baying for blood as they fought.

Many others took advantage of the chaos, targeting the stalls set up by the City Guard and the shops selling goods. The survivors of Black City were, without exception, cunning and ferocious; the moment their greed was ignited, widespread pandemonium erupted.

Gradually, they didn’t just rob the City Guard. They began robbing other people too!

The unrest spread ever wider. The core area of Black City was ablaze, and cries of battle rose and fell incessantly. The City Guard soldiers were not only incapable of suppressing the turmoil but were instead swept up in it, further fueling the chaos.

「At a certain stronghold.」

A group of people walked out of a room, looking towards Raka Market, a frenzy almost bursting from their eyes.

"Leader!"

"After all these years, Black City is finally in chaos! Should we make our move?"

"Yes!" the crowd clamored.

"Then let’s go." The leader picked up a spiked club, grinned broadly, and pointed towards the market. "Brothers, charge with me! Let’s go kill those bastards and loot their stuff! Charge!"

「In a ruin.」

A band of mercenaries stood up, exchanging glances, an inexplicable excitement filling the air.

One of them pulled out a dagger, licking the blade with his tongue, "This atmosphere... I like it!"

"Let there be chaos!"

"The more chaotic, the better!"

The captain raised his Long Spear, giving the shaft a shake, "Call everyone nearby. Let’s go join the fun. Someone else will deal with the aftermath anyway."

"Yes!"

"That’s the way!"

Of course, while some chose to join the fray, others naturally chose to flee the chaos, escaping towards the city’s edge.
