Why must the devil be Defeated?
Chapter 536 - 503 "You will look good.

Chapter 536: 503 "You will look good.

When Shane had finished dressing, Milu, who was holding Lide, also came in front of him.

"Ai Yi, Ai Yi..."

This little girl with immense magic power stretched out her hand, tugging at the corner of Shane’s clothes incessantly, as if urging something or in a hurry, her face filled with eagerness.

"This..."

Shane had no idea what the girl wanted to do and was immediately baffled.

"Alright, don’t panic, Ai Yi won’t run away."

Lide, on the other hand, appeased her with a lazy tone, making Milu still look eager but no longer say anything.

Seeing this, Shane had a thought.

"Could she be wanting to see Ai Yi?"

Inquiring with a strange expression, Shane looked towards the small creature perched on Milu’s head.

"What, you guessed it?" Lide yawned, looking at Shane with a face full of quirks, a pair of wise eyes sparkling wisdom from the creature, and then it smirked, saying, "This girl’s favorite is Ai Yi. She’ll cling to her nonstop as soon as she sees her, and she wouldn’t stop even if Ai Yi herself says she’s annoyed. If we hadn’t heard you mention Ai Yi’s name while passing by, we might not have even noticed you."

In short, if it weren’t for mentioning Ai Yi, Shane might have been completely ignored by them.

To this human and creature, Shane’s value seemed to be only his "acquaintance with Ai Yi," beyond that, there didn’t seem to be anything about him they found appealing.

...Hmm, suddenly I feel like plucking some mischievous kids or craving roasted beast legs.

"Want to see Ai Yi, is it?" Shane said with a forced smile, "Fine, I’ll take you to see her."

I’ll deal with their arrogance later.

However, while Shane was thinking this, Lide spoke up.

"Before that, help me with something."

Lide actually said such a thing.

"Do something?"

Shane raised an eyebrow.

"Exactly." Lide pointed outside the barrier, saying, "In that direction, let’s go."

After saying that, without waiting for Shane to respond, Lide rummaged through Milu’s hair.

"Let’s go, Milu. We need to make it quick so we can see Ai Yi sooner."

Lide’s words instantly changed the expression on Milu’s disgruntled little face.

"See Ai Yi, see Ai Yi."

The little girl’s smile blossomed, and she promptly began moving her small legs, venturing outside.

Surprisingly, the barrier of the Elf Country seemed to have no effect on this little girl.

The little girl, sporting a mystical creature on her head, passed through the barrier as if moving through water, completely unaffected by it, silently and without a trace.

"Damn..."

Shane watched, utterly stunned.

The barrier, the pride of Elf Country and possibly set by the Nature Goddess herself, was being blatantly ignored by the girl, which was truly shocking.

If the girl had used her power to directly break the barrier, Shane wouldn’t have been so surprised.

If his guess about her identity was not wrong, then her power must be greater than even the Nature Goddess, which made breaking a barrier set by the Nature Goddess not so odd.

But she didn’t break the barrier; she outright ignored it, as if nothing in the world could stop her, completely unaffected by the barrier.

That’s some trick.

Initially, Shane didn’t plan to follow.

After all, if they said he should do something as if he were their errand boy, then what did that make him?

But now, Shane became curious about this human and creature.

What exactly did this incredible duo want to do here?

"Let’s go see."

Shane couldn’t suppress his curiosity.

So, Shane followed them.

Lide, as if knowing Shane would follow, casually told Milu,

"Take him out of the barrier, Milu."

Hearing this, Milu didn’t hesitate at all; she went through the barrier and took Shane by the hand, pulling him out effortlessly as if out for a run.

"Ai Yi, Ai Yi."

Milu, still holding Shane’s hand, kept shouting that name and eventually started pulling Shane forward eagerly.

"Where are we going?"

Shane couldn’t help but ask.

However...

"You’ll know once we get there."

Lide looked so laid-back, which made Shane narrow his eyes.

This little one really needs dealing with.

Decided, I will find an opportunity to prank her.

It’s been a long time since I’ve roamed around, really not sure if my powers have deteorated.

...

Meanwhile, Carol was still idly waiting somewhere a distance away from the hot springs.

"Why isn’t he done yet?" Carol complained. "A man, taking longer than a woman to bathe."

Carol was already getting a bit impatient.

If she hadn’t been afraid of charging in and giving the other party a grip on her for self-dealing, right after saying nobody would enter, yet violating her own words by barging in during his bath, Carol would have wanted to call him out herself.

"I am the vice division commander of the Elf Corps, a great mage of Level 89, and here I am, keeping watch for an alien male. This is insane."

Carol didn’t know whether she was mocking herself or simply at a loss as she muttered.

"Hmm?"

Just then, Carol noticed something unusual and looked up in surprise.

In front of her vision, beneath the beautiful night sky, a stream of evil energy and a dragon’s silhouette swooped down at an alarming speed.

"Is that...?"

Carol tensed up.

From the evil energy and the dragon’s silhouette, she felt a suffocating threat.

Within a second, the evil energy and dragon shadow reached her vicinity, lingering in midair, seemingly searching for something, constantly circling.

It didn’t take long before the evil energy and dragon shadow descended.

Their target was right where she was.

"What?"

Carol cried out in alarm.

But before she could react, the evil energy and dragon shadow descended right in front of her, revealing their forms.

It was Lilith and Ai Yi.

"Dragon Demon Lord...! And Goddess Lilith...!"

Carol held her breath.

But Ai Yi and Lilith obviously weren’t in the mood to chat with Carol.

"Where is Shane?" Shane asked briskly.

"Sh... Shane?" Carol was momentarily stunned, then quickly realized, replying hurriedly, "Lord Beizut is inside, taking a bath."

"Inside?" Ai Yi gave Carol a deep look, which made Carol’s heart tremble, before calmly saying, "He has already left the Elf Country and gone beyond the Barrier."

"Wh... What!?" Carol exclaimed in astonishment, quickly adding, "Impossible, the Barrier of the Elf Country is still active. Since it’s active, besides us from the Elf Clan who can open the entrance to the Barrier and move freely, no one else can come and go freely!"

This was a Barrier set by the Nature Goddess, utilizing the power and environment of nature. Unknown to anyone else, even beings of Limit Level couldn’t freely exit and enter, and those of Transcend Level could only break through with sheer power.

Under such circumstances, since the Barrier was still operational, logically, unless someone from the Elf Clan led the way, Shane should still be inside the Barrier.

Now, Ai Yi declared that Shane had already left for beyond the Barrier, no wonder Carol was astonished.

But it was a fact.

"It’s because he left the Barrier that the Magic Power I placed on him got cut off from my senses. Even the connection between Lilith’s and my ’True Seal’ got blurred, making us unable to locate him," Ai Yi spoke calmly, almost as if talking to herself. "However, if it was them, they could easily exit and enter the Barrier here, blocking our senses, keeping us from finding Shane."

Ai Yi seemed to have guessed the reason behind it.

Beside her, the evil energy around Lilith fluctuated continuously, showing others her extremely unstable emotions, causing Carol to feel somewhat terrified.

Carol was indeed worried that Lilith might stir up trouble right here in the Elf Country.

If that happened, the trouble would be huge.

Fortunately, a savior quickly appeared.

"Lady Ai Yi, Goddess Lilith."

Accompanying this call, a green radiance descended from the sky, transforming into the graceful figure of the Elf Queen.

"Sophie?" Ai Yi wasn’t surprised by Sophie’s arrival, asking naturally, "You felt it too?"

"Yes." Sophie sighed, then nodded very solemnly, "Such magic power, could it really be those two?"

"It could only be them," Ai Yi replied discontentedly. "Besides them, who else would wander around this ancient forest filled with demons?"

"Then..." Sophie spoke with a hint of worry, "Since those two have shown up here, does it mean something has happened in Taiger Forest again?"

"Who knows?" Ai Yi responded coldly. "I just want to know what they plan to do by taking my person away."

"Lord Beizut?" Sophie spoke tentatively, almost hesitantly, "Could it be because of Lady Ai Yi’s connection that he was taken away?"

This made Ai Yi glare at Sophie, causing Sophie to smirk sheepishly.

She knew she had spoken the truth, making it difficult for Ai Yi to keep pretending ignorance.

"Shall I send someone to look for him?"

That was all Sophie could suggest.

"...Forget it," Ai Yi continued to frown, pondering for a moment before saying, "If it were before, I might have been worried that Shane would get ruined by those two guys, but now, his strength has improved leaps and bounds, and he should be able to handle those two... as long as those two don’t go too far."

Towards the end, Ai Yi finally displayed a headache.

Lilith immediately tugged at Ai Yi’s clothing, seemingly opposing Ai Yi’s approach.

"Don’t worry," Ai Yi reassured Lilith, saying, "He is at least safe. Otherwise, no matter how strong the separation, you would still be able to locate him through the ’True Seal.’"

Once the host of a ’True Seal’ encounters danger, the owner of the ’True Seal’ would immediately sense it and could reach the host’s location instantly through their connection.

Since Lilith couldn’t sense Shane, it meant Shane wasn’t in danger.

With this thought, Lilith had finally calmed down.

Only Ai Yi, her eyes sparking fiercely as she stared into the depths of the forest, speaking ominously.

"If they don’t bring him back to me intact, there will be severe consequences for you, Milu, Lide."

So Ai Yi murmured.

The night continued.
