Chapter 517: 488 "Taiger Forest
Two days had flown by in the blink of an eye.
During these two days, You Lin had been flying at the fastest speed.
Shane and his companions had almost always been traveling on You Lin’s back, yet did not find it boring at all.
After all, there were a full six of them on the journey, and You Lin used magic power to block the high winds, making Shane and the others quite comfortable on the dragon’s back. Their interactions with each other never ceased.
There was no need to mention Shane and Luoqi; there were no barriers between them at all. Especially since the purpose of this trip was leisure and sightseeing, Luoqi’s hidden personality was slightly unleashed, appearing to be in high spirits along the way. She would sometimes grab Shane, point at the scenery below, and chatter away with excitement, showing the other girls a more lively side of the Princess.
Lilith, after dozing off for a while, eventually became more energetic. While Shane and Luoqi were continuously chatting, she would blink her eyes, wedge herself between the two, and then snuggle comfortably into Shane’s arms, as if to assert her presence. Undeniably adorable, even Luoqi couldn’t help herself and, regardless of Lilith’s status as an Evil God, hugged her tightly for a while.
Ai Yi, holding a pillow, always appeared sleepy, seemingly never able to get enough rest, and finally also burrowed into Shane’s arms, using him as a mattress and dozed off.
Shane had teased her a few times, but only managed to elicit a displeased wrinkle of her little nose, with no other response, causing Luoqi on the side to feel indescribable emotions.
Anyway, Shane overheard Luoqi muttering under her breath,
"Probably only you can be so close to a demon."
Luoqi was clearly very surprised at the interaction between Shane and Ai Yi.
No matter what, this was the Dragon Demon among the Six Great Demons, an infamous figure in history who had slain two Heroes and was known, alongside the Poison Demon, as the fierce being second only to the Demon King. Now here she was, being so intimately close with a human male, it was truly unbelievable.
Admittedly, Lilith was even closer to Shane than Ai Yi, but since Lilith had entrusted the "True Seal" to Shane, it was quite normal for even the strongest Evil God to become incredibly close to him in such circumstances.
But Ai Yi was different.
So Luoqi didn’t know quite what to say.
On one hand, she was surprised and astonished, yet she felt reassured that Shane had such connections.
On the other hand, she always felt as if she had discovered a hidden super rival, shaking the stability of her position as the main consort.
This left Luoqi conflicted and complex, finally deciding to pretend as if she had seen nothing.
There was no helping it, Shane’s social connections were somewhat destructive to the common worldviews in this world.
A once most ferocious demon was now napping in his arms; the strongest Evil God acted as if glued to him all day, and yet he himself seemed not to care at all, playing and teasing as if they were two little girls. To the people of this world, such behavior was undoubtedly very senseless and recklessly audacious.
While others treated these ferocious beings with extreme caution as if flanking a tiger, Shane seemed to have always considered them just two clingy children. It was fortunate that Ai Yi’s subordinates were not here, and since Lilith was quite unique, without directly subordinate Lower Grade Gods under her jurisdiction and management, otherwise, those people would certainly have been shocked to their core.
And that wasn’t even the scariest part.
The scariest part was that this guy dared to knock on the head of Lidas, known as the strongest being in the Three Realms at present, and had the audacity to talk back during their encounters. If he didn’t truly have some skills, he’d probably be considered an ignorant fool, wouldn’t he?
Compared to these "great deeds," Luoqi suddenly felt that it was not surprising at all that Shane had shown a disdainful attitude when he first met her and saw her true nature.
Luoqi could only say,
"Thank goodness you’re a Hero; otherwise, you would definitely be beaten to death."
Luoqi sincerely believed this.
At least, as far as Luoqi knew, the demon officer Jiasinta seemed to have tendencies to teach Shane a lesson. If it weren’t for Ai Yi always being by Shane’s side, the Violent Dragon would have sought him out already—how could it possibly watch Ai Yi "dote" on Shane?
Of course, Shane wasn’t bothered at all.
"Great, I was thinking that I lacked a substantial opponent to test my current strength anyway."
Shane smiled fearlessly, prompting Luoqi to remember that this fellow had already defeated his own teacher.
So, Luoqi was left speechless.
Just like that, all along the way, Shane chatted and toured with Luoqi in a leisurely manner, while occasionally teasing Ai Yi and Lilith. Lasha quietly attended to them on the side, and the journey was harmonious and friendly without any boredom or dullness.
Besides, Luoqi seemed to be paying attention to Merica, who was acting invisible, seemingly unable to fit in due to nervousness and shyness. Luoqi often tried to chat with Merica, but it only made her appear increasingly flustered and overwhelmed, fumbling with her responses, causing concern.
