Who Designed This Underworld Dungeon?

Chapter 494: Chapter 341 Sun Elder Son Ring_2

Those with grievances seek revenge, those with grudges avenge their wrongs; it’s quite effective at relieving psychological pressure.

But when Eliphas saw the joyous expressions of the adventurers who had avenged themselves, he frowned slightly and waved his hand, saying, "Go tell them to clear the path."

If true revenge were to be taken, his enemies would likely line up from Hell to Heaven. Luckily, those who knew they should take revenge on him were all dead and in Hell, while those unaware... were all right by his side, wholly devoted to working for him.

Faced with Eliphas’ request, the mercenaries of the Light Hawk Company surrounding him naturally complied. But persuading this emotionally charged group of adventurers to obediently give way?

That seems somewhat challenging.

The adventurers suddenly quieted down, and those blocking the teleportation gate unconsciously scattered.

Was it because they noticed Eliphas? No, it was because of someone else.

"Eliphas, are you heading into the dungeon today as well?"

An elderly yet energetic voice came from the teleportation gate, accompanied by the adventurers stepping aside, revealing a portly figure.

This person was none other than Minister Oro, who had stood at the pinnacle of the nation’s power after the King fell ill.

Anyone would recoil upon seeing Oro’s hefty figure and the aura cultivated by years of authority, but not Eliphas. He was well aware that this conglomerate of kingdom power before him... had already been ensnared by his abilities.

His abilities were so useful; how could he not use them on Oro?

"Minister, feeling unwell today? You’re not carrying any food," Eliphas smiled. Minister Oro had the habit of eating all the time, a habit he’d somewhat controlled until being "ensnared" by Eliphas, after which he began binge eating without restraint.

"I’m getting old, and eating more might be overwhelming for my body. Besides, the hands of these elite knights of the kingdom are meant for wielding swords."

Surrounding him were knights belonging to the kingdom, and just by looking, one could tell they were elites, no lesser than the captains of the Light Hawk Company.

Only then did Eliphas remember to ask Minister Oro about his purpose for entering the Sain Dungeon, prompting the latter to laugh heartily and say with a clear and refreshed spirit:

"The Sain Dungeon is truly a miraculous place. Inside are countless experiences I’ve never had, such as the Fire Injection Secret Ceremony."

Minister Oro patted Eliphas on the shoulder, a slight smirk on his lips.

"It’s been a while since I’ve felt as refreshed and invigorated as today, Lord Eliphas. I recommend you try it too."

After saying this, Minister Oro waved and with a parting "Good luck with your exploration today," departed with the knights in tow.

Eliphas watched his back for a moment, with no change in the expression on his face.

Soon after, the Sain Dungeon, Yilushier of the Cold Valley.

The Light Hawk Company’s mercenaries successfully rendezvoused with another ten mercenaries, and immediately upon entering Yilushier, they headed for the shortcut mentioned by the little boy, engaging only the necessary monsters and sparing no energy elsewhere.

This shortcut passes through a "forest" of tombstones erected by Pope Shalivan for the Knights of War. Apart from the Transparent Men wandering various parts of Yilushier, monsters randomly emerge from beneath the tombstones, varying in type and number based on the adventurers’ strength.

The Light Hawk Company encountered three Knights of War. Including the little boy’s brother at the start, they had to combat four Knights of War in this relatively small area, a hellish scenario for others.

Yet, after losing two elite mercenaries, the Light Hawk Company managed to pass through with an acceptable rate of casualties.

As foretold by the doomed little boy, at the deepest part of the cemetery lay a dug-up grave, and jumping down led to the tunnel.

Upon emerging from this seemingly ambushed but actually safe dark tunnel, they successfully entered the square enclosed by the iron barred gates.

The mercenaries’ first action upon entry was to break through a formidable block of Pope Knights, more numerous and stronger than before, and open the iron barred door facing the city avenue, securing the shortcut so even in death one could return swiftly without going in circles.

The second task was the corpse on the large altar beyond the iron barred door, shimmering with golden light points.

However, Eliphas noticed the golden glow of the corpse had turned purple, unsettling him as he picked it up to examine.

[Sun Elder Son Ring]

[A legendary imitation of the Sun Elder Son’s ring, inheriting the glow of the Initial Ember King Gwyn.]

[Enhances the power of miracles.]

[The Sun Elder Son was once a War God, but was expelled from the divine ranks due to his folly, his name now unrecorded and forgotten.]

The Sun Elder Son Ring, a ring fixed to appear here, permits only one acquisition per person; once obtained, it will no longer appear. However, if someone on the team hasn’t acquired it yet, it will still manifest, although those who’ve obtained it can no longer pick it up.

According to those who’ve acquired it, the Sun Elder Son Ring comes in two versions: purple light points and golden light points. Both are imitations, but the distinction is that the golden one can "greatly enhance" the power of miracles.
