Chapter 289: The Wedding Part 1
The golden sunlight bathed the beach in a warm glow, casting a soft shimmer over the waves that lapped gently against the shore.
The wedding venue was beautifully set up with white chairs arranged neatly in rows, their decorations swaying slightly in the ocean breeze. A floral arch stood at the end of the aisle, overlooking the endless blue horizon, where the sky met the sea.
Guests arrived one after another, their footsteps crunching against the soft sand as they took in the breathtaking scenery.
The first to arrive was Raver Lucas, Samuel’s uncle. Dressed in an elegant yet relaxed linen suit, he took off his sunglasses as he glanced around. A faint smile played on his lips as he observed the setup, nodding in approval.
Timmy, standing by the entrance, immediately stepped forward to greet him. "Mr. Lucas, welcome. Please, this way."
Raver gave a small nod. "It’s a beautiful setup. It’s hard to believe Samuel is actually getting married today."
Timmy chuckled. "Trust me, it still feels surreal to him too."
As Raver took his seat, more familiar faces began to appear. Ryan Kim, Trish Watson, Tom Ellis, Leo Taylor, and Julian Perez—the actors from Zinnia’s last movie project—walked in together, chatting animatedly.
Ryan, who had played Daniel, was the first to wave at Timmy. "Looks like we’re early! Hope that means we get front-row seats."
Timmy grinned. "Of course, honored guests like you will be seated in the best spot."
Trish, who played Alex, leaned in and whispered, "I still can’t believe Zinnia is getting married! It feels like just yesterday we were wrapping up the film."
Tom Ellis, the ever-charismatic Captain Harding, chuckled. "I wonder how nervous she is right now. Sir Samuel must be ten times worse."
Timmy smirked. "He’s already asked me three times if the wedding is really happening today."
Leo and Julian laughed as Timmy led them to their seats.
Soon after, the fan who won yesterday’s livestream of Zia_L arrived, awestruck as she saw the actors and actresses from the movie Seas of Deception. She couldn’t believe that her goddess Zia’s wedding was actually filled with artists from the entertainment industry. Timmy also led her to her seat.
The next guests to arrive were members of Zinnia’s production crew. Marcos, the movie director, walked in first, followed by Katherine Lee, the casting director, Michael Zhen, the stunt coordinator, and Sophie Tran, the producer.
"Wow, they really outdid themselves with this venue," Sophie murmured, admiring the ocean view.
Marcos adjusted his glasses. "Perfect setting for a love story. Feels like a scene from a movie."
Timmy approached them with a professional yet warm demeanor. "Welcome! The ceremony will be starting soon. Let me show you to your seats."
As they followed him, Timmy suddenly caught sight of someone who made his steps falter.
Lily had just arrived, her presence instantly drawing his full attention. She looked breathtaking—her dress, a flowing pastel gown, complemented her elegant yet natural beauty. As Zinnia’s Maid of Honor, she exuded grace, but to Timmy, she looked even more stunning than usual.
At the same moment, Lily’s gaze landed on him.
Timmy, wearing a sharp suit as Samuel’s Best Man, stood out in a way she hadn’t expected. She had always known him to be charming, but today, he looked exceptionally handsome. For a brief moment, time seemed to freeze between them.
Victoria, who was walking behind Lily, noticed the sudden stillness in her boss. Her eyebrows lifted in surprise—Lily, usually so composed, was actually blushing.
Victoria smirked. "Oh wow... this is new."
As if realizing the weight of their shared gaze, both Lily and Timmy blushed and quickly looked away.
But Timmy wasn’t about to let the moment slip away. Taking a deep breath, he stepped forward and smiled.
"You’re finally here," he said, his voice softer than usual. "You look so beautiful, Lily."
Lily, snapping out of her momentary daze, tilted her head and smirked. "I should say the same about you. Who knew you could clean up this well? You almost look too good to be Timmy."
Timmy let out a chuckle, shaking his head. "I’ll take that as a compliment... I think."
Victoria watched their interaction with amusement before finally reminding Lily. "Miss Aquila, the ceremony is about to start."
Timmy, still smiling, offered his arm. "Shall I escort you to your seat, Maid of Honor?"
Lily hesitated for a second before accepting, their fingers barely brushing as they walked together toward the designated seating area.
---
Till now, Victoria still couldn’t believe it. She was so surprised when she received the wedding invitation from Zinnia. Her eyes widened in shock when she saw Lily’s name written on the invitation as Zinnia’s Maid of Honor.
At that moment, she realized that her boss and Zinnia were actually very close. No wonder her boss was so interested in Zinnia and so protective of her.
As she looked around, she heaved a sigh of relief. Luckily, she hadn’t done anything too overbearing or difficult for Zinnia during their first meeting, especially regarding the contract.
Otherwise, she had no idea what would have happened to her, knowing how protective her boss was of Zinnia.
---
Just as Timmy was about to return to his duties, a familiar black luxury car pulled up near the entrance.
Samuel had arrived.
Dressed in a crisp white suit, he stepped out, adjusting his cufflinks. His expression was calm, but Timmy, knowing him well, could see the subtle nervousness hidden in his sharp gaze.
Following him were Steven and Valerie Lucas, his parents. Valerie, elegant as always, wore a refined yet simple dress, while Steven maintained his usual composed demeanor.
Timmy and Lily stepped forward to greet them.
"Mr. and Mrs. Lucas, welcome," Lily said with a respectful nod.
Valerie smiled warmly. "It’s a beautiful setup. Zinnia must have worked so hard to make this perfect."
Steven simply nodded, then turned to Timmy. "How’s Samuel holding up?"
Timmy smirked. "He’s acting all composed, but he’s definitely nervous."
Samuel shot him a glare. "I’m fine."
Lily chuckled. "Oh? Then why do you look like you’re about to ask if this is actually happening?"
Samuel sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Because it still doesn’t feel real."
Timmy clapped him on the back. "Well, it’s real, boss. And it’s happening in just a few minutes."
As Samuel made his way to the front of the altar, he let out a slow breath, adjusting his tie.
Now, all that was left was for Zinnia to arrive.
And he knew, the moment he saw her, everything would finally feel real.
