"I don’t understand Longsheng Tian, but I can grasp the loneliness of someone who has stood at the pinnacle of the world for thousands of years. Maybe he’s looking forward to something happening?" Li Xiu said.

"Hold on, you’re not at that height, so what makes you think you understand such a person? If he really wanted to do that kind of thing, he’d have done it long ago—no need to wait for you," Sha Chu retorted disdainfully.

Sha Chu felt a sudden panic but immediately responded forcefully, "And if you lose?"

Li Xiu shook his head, Sha Chu had been in Longsheng Tian too long and had lost the ability to think about Longsheng Tian issues from an outsider’s perspective.

Li Xiu checked with Ximen Guan about the materials for making S-Class Magic Armor. Sha Chu had nearly found everything for him, and Ximen Guan had assigned the researchers to make the S-Class Magic Armor. He only occasionally gave advice, barely putting any effort into that set of armor.

Glancing at the Trial Gate, Li Xiu climbed out of the mine shaft, feeling not in the mood to waste time in any more trial grounds.

Upon climbing out of the mine shaft, Li Xiu found Afei fiercely arguing with a group, led by a hefty man talking to Afei.

"What’s going on?" Li Xiu asked Afei.

"What do you mean ’what’s going on’? I’m the one who should be asking you! This mine shaft belongs to me now; what are you doing here?" The heavyset man questioned Li Xiu arrogantly.

"Isn’t this an abandoned mine shaft?" Li Xiu frowned.

"It used to be abandoned, but now I’ve bought it, so it’s mine. What are you doing here anyway, did you dig out my gemstones?" The heavyset man barked.

"I was planning to dig, but didn’t succeed," Li Xiu casually admitted, digging for gemstones was easier to explain.

"I don’t care if you dug or not, you dug in my mine, so you have to pay up," the man said, taking an overbearing stance.

"How much?" Li Xiu asked.

"Seeing as you’re being reasonable, just pay a million Guyue coins," the man mused.

"I didn’t bring Guyue coins, just use this to cover it," Li Xiu said, tossing a low-quality two-to-three-carat Red Apatite to the man.

A million sounded daunting, but in reality, Guyue coins weren’t worth much, a million was not much.

"Did you really find gemstones down there?" The man asked, taken aback, while examining the gemstone.

"Even if I did, they’d be in their raw form; cutting them like this isn’t possible down there," Li Xiu smiled.

The man’s face reddened, feeling his intellect had been exposed, he quickly explained, "I meant, why would you be so generous when you haven’t dug out anything?"

Then, he glared at Li Xiu, "Don’t try to fool me, I know someone found high-quality Pink Apatite here and sold it for a great sum. Too bad that person’s luck ran thin; soon after striking it rich, they fell ill, likely won’t make it. I advise you to watch yourself, should you really find something good, show it to me. I won’t shortchange you, I’ll buy it at market price; just don’t sell it elsewhere."

Hearing someone found Pink Apatite here and fell ill, Li Xiu seemed to realize something.
