"What just happened?" Chu Jun asked again, puzzled, after they had left the beach and returned to the city gate.

After explaining what had transpired, Chu Jun broke into a cold sweat: "It’s a good thing you were there. I don’t remember a thing."

"It’s fine now." Li Xiu thought for a moment and said, "That reef might be a demon itself. The enchanted rainbow light emitted by its inner crystal probably has a hypnotic effect. I was only able to resist it because I was wearing the Dark Mirror."

Originally, Li Xiu thought the Dark Mirror only had night vision capabilities, but now it seemed to also resist the effects of some Demonic Lights.
