Chapter 1841: Section 1842 Scarf
"Huh?!" Angel seemed to have discovered something, and his brows suddenly furrowed.
"Did you think of something?" Greya asked curiously.
Angel didn’t answer directly but instead extended his finger to touch the illusion screen. As his finger moved, a band of light appeared on the screen.
This band of light outlined the "Leaping Red" in the sky, where the color was noticeably abnormal.
Once outlined, Angel looked at Greya: "What do you think this looks like?"
Greya carefully examined the area that Angel had intentionally highlighted with the band of light. Two lines, not far apart, sometimes parallel, sometimes intersecting, sometimes curving, sometimes folding. It seemed like an irregular shape, but vaguely, it seemed to follow some logic.
"It looks a bit like a long-bodied creature, similar to a snake? No, the lines cross at the sides; this isn’t a snake." Greya murmured to herself softly, feeling a sense of familiarity but unable to articulate it.
Greya eventually gave up thinking and turned her gaze to Angel. Since Angel had specifically highlighted it, it indicated that he had some speculation in mind.
Angel pondered for a moment: "Doesn’t it remind you of some kind of fabric?"
Fabric? Greya paused for a moment: "Do you mean, like a tailor’s work?"
Angel nodded: "It looks like something fluttering in the wind..."
"A scarf."
As Angel spoke, Greya brought the mental image of a scarf to compare with the ’Leaping Red’ on the screen. The image of the scarf slowly overlapped with the scene...
"It does indeed resemble a fluttering scarf. The two lines represent the scarf’s width, crossing, curving, overlapping... showing the shape twisted by the wind." Greya agreed, nodding: "However, it might not strictly be a scarf; it could also be a ribbon, a sash, or a piece of torn fabric."
Angel: "I think it looks more like a scarf."
Greya nodded noncommittally: "The possibility of it being a scarf is indeed high. So, if this is a red scarf, what comes to mind?"
Angel fell into contemplation. He had seen many people wearing scarves; even he had worn one himself as a child. However, not many of those scarf-wearing individuals left a significant impression on him.
Among these people, there was one who left a deep impression on Angel.
And coincidentally, this person wore a red scarf.
This person was quite special; his strength was at least above a Legendary Level. The red scarf he wore was his greatest symbol and was rumored to be a mysterious object, moreover, a semi-out-of-control mysterious object.
"Above Legendary? A semi-out-of-control mysterious object?!" Greya listened to Angel’s description with a face full of surprise.
"Yes, this person was named Zorn. He was a Mystic Hunter of the Orderly Guild. Because Frost was going on a mission with him, I had seen him once when I was at the Black Castle."
As Angel recalled Zorn’s image in his mind, it was almost blank. That person was shrouded in the dark void, his attire entirely black. The only memorable thing was the red scarf he wore.
This red scarf covered half of Zorn’s face and, even though there was no wind, it was astonishingly long, capable of moving on its own, like a leaping crimson serpent in the dark void, lurking, elusive, and unpredictable.
"Zorn, Mystic Hunter, above Legendary." Greya repeated several times: "This image from the Doomsday Eye, I previously thought that, given my understanding of people’s capabilities, it’s hard to achieve such an extent. But if done by a Legendary Wizard, then it’s possible."
If that ’Leaping Red’ truly is a scarf and indeed belongs to Zorn, then this scene could indeed appear.
"Can you really confirm that this is Zorn’s scarf?" Greya asked Angel.
Angel was silent for a moment, then shook his head: "Can’t confirm, but it feels somewhat similar."
"Oh well, it doesn’t matter whether it’s confirmed or not. Since there’s no other possibility to speculate, just treat it as Zorn’s scarf for now," Greya said: "Once confirmed it’s Zorn’s scarf, what useful information can you gather from it?"
"I don’t know Zorn at all; I only know he’s a member of the Orderly Guild and was dispatched by them to support Frost. Because Frost was reclaiming a mysterious... failed..." Angel’s voice hesitated at the end as if he suddenly thought of something.
He recalled distinctly that Frost had told Angel after escaping from the ’Reincarnation Casket of the Undead’ that he had conveyed his experiences to the Orderly Guild and requested support. Hence, Zorn came.
Meaning Zorn and Frost were both aiming to recover the ’Reincarnation Casket of the Undead.’
This matter itself had no relation to Angel, and he didn’t pay attention at the time. Yet, when Angel arrived at the Research and Development Institute in Sky Mechanical City, he learned that the ’Reincarnation Casket of the Undead’ was, in all likelihood, refined by Ivor Schubert... More importantly, Ivor Schubert should be Alex, whom Angel had encountered in the Cage Garden.
Thinking about it this way, Angel truly had some connection with the ’Reincarnation Casket of the Undead.’
According to the traits of the ’Reincarnation Casket of the Undead’ mentioned by Frost, one must pass through over twenty different reincarnated smaller spaces to escape.
Based on the timeline, Zorn and Frost should still be experiencing the reincarnation unless they’re extraordinarily lucky, encountering considerably simple spaces each time.
Leaving luck aside, Zorn is still within the Reincarnation Casket. Meaning, this scene could very well be inside the Reincarnation Casket?
When Dororo said this scene is related to me, could it imply that I might enter the Reincarnation Casket in the future?
Absolutely impossible. Angel is very clear; he isn’t reckless.
Even Frost barely escaped, and there’s no way he’d voluntarily risk it.
Unless... Angel doesn’t go there in his true body.
Just like before, Angel used the special effect of "The Gate of Void" to enter the miniature space within the Reincarnation Casket using his illusory form, where he met Alex.
If it’s a similar scenario, Angel considers it possible. But the odds are minuscule, as the previous incident was purely accidental, getting off "halfway."
Next time, when the special energy of The Gate of Void accumulates again, Angel might not jump "halfway." Even if he does, it’s uncertain if he’d successfully locate The Gate of Void.
The probability is like finding a needle in the ocean, almost impossible.
"What are you thinking about?" Greya’s voice pulled Angel back from his reverie as he pondered.
"I think I know where the place in the image is," Angel said.
Greya’s eyes lit up with curiosity: "Where is it?"
Angel shook his head, not answering.
Although Greya didn’t get an answer, she didn’t mind, as the matter had little relevance to her: "It’s fine if you don’t tell. Since you know the place, just make sure not to go there. As long as you avoid it, you should be safe."
Angel nodded: "I understand; I definitely don’t plan on acting recklessly."
