Chapter 1834: Chapter 1835: Return to the Island
Angel walked along the Dropping Cloud Leaf platform, heading straight to the edge of the leaf.
Most people dare not come here, as the edge of the leaf is very soft, and one might slip with the slightest inattention. You must know, this place is several hundred meters high from the ground, with nothing to bear your fall below. If you fall from here accidentally without certain means, you’re sure to end up as a pile of flesh.
However, Angel did not care at all about the danger of the leaf’s edge, stepping directly out with one foot.
The imagined scene of falling did not appear, as he stood firmly in mid-air.
Below his feet was a completely transparent Sky Bridge.
Angel did not pause and hurried forward. In front of him was an endless Cloud Sea, and in the distance, islands twinkling with Star Point light.
That was his destination—the Illusion Demon Island.
Pushing through the moderately thick fog, the moist vapor made his red, tousled hair slightly droop down, and his medium-length bangs covered much of his view. Angel, unconcerned about his image, casually brushed back the red hair obscuring his right eye to the back of his head.
Just as he intended to brush through the bangs on the left, his right eye spotted a figure not far away.
On the foggy Sky Bridge stood a tall and upright figure, quietly waiting at the bridge’s end. Behind him floated the airborne Illusion Demon Island.
Angel squinted and recognized the figure’s identity.
This was a young man in a white uniform with gold Pattern, extremely handsome in appearance, yet his eyes and expression consistently emitted an aura of coldness and Alienation.
Though he was right before him, there was an unusual feeling as if he were far away from The Real World and stood at the end of Fate, a Void future.
He was Dororo, from Poclades, a member of the Baiyuan Clan that had been asleep for over a thousand years.
Although Angel recognized Dororo, he did not greet him and pretended not to know him, avoiding looking around, and slowly emerged from the fog, heading toward Illusion Demon Island.
But just as Angel was about to pass by Dororo, Dororo reached out and stopped Angel.
Angel intended to act as if he didn’t know Dororo and ask the reason. However, upon turning back, he saw Dororo looking at him with bright eyes, clearing away the previously cold and Alienated aura.
Even though Dororo hadn’t spoken, Angel read from his eyes that he surely recognized him.
Angel originally planned to ask, "Who are you?" but swallowed those words silently.
"Dororo, why are you here?" Angel acted as if he had just seen Dororo.
"I’m waiting...for my lord." Dororo’s voice was calm, but the peculiar tone of his tail exposed his excited mood.
Dororo’s response indicated that he knew that Angel would return in advance, so he came to wait.
"Why are you looking for me?"
Dororo nodded, just about to say something when Angel interrupted him: "Coincidentally, I also have something to discuss with you. Let’s talk inside."
With that, Angel turned around, walked across the Sky Bridge, and boarded Illusion Demon Island. Seeing this, Dororo followed suit.
In silence along the way, neither Angel nor Dororo spoke a word. Until they passed through the forest, and seeing the manor from afar, Angel finally couldn’t hold back and spoke first: "How did you recognize me just now?"
This question had been lingering in Angel’s heart. His current appearance was not created with Illusion Technique, but rather through real Shapeshifting Technique. Many Official Wizards didn’t recognize him, so how did Dororo, a Wizard Apprentice, confirm his identity so surely?
In response to Angel’s question, Dororo, who always answered questions readily, did not hesitate either, and said directly: "I saw it."
"Saw what?" Angel rubbed the stubble on his chin, looking at Dororo with a puzzled expression.
"I saw the scene just now." Dororo described the contents of the scene, a red-haired man walking across the Sky Bridge, leisurely, with Illusion Demon Island as his ultimate goal.
"Does that scene have any significance?" Angel remembered that the scenes Dororo saw usually held significance. Did this scene also have any unusual connotations?
Dororo: "There’s no significance, but the scene let me confirm that the person in the scene was you, my lord."
After listening to Dororo’s explanation, Angel sighed inwardly, as expected, no matter how powerful the Shapeshifting Technique is... it cannot match Divination.
Or rather, it cannot surpass the prophetic visions seen by the Baiyuan Clan. Other Prophet Wizards find it challenging to see through Angel because he has items that shield against prophecy, but the Baiyuan Clan is different as the scenes they see are not self-initiated, making the Blood Night Shelter ineffective.
Maybe this prophetic ability carries some randomness, but there’s no doubt that it’s a frightening prophecy Talent. The ability to bypass all barriers and peer directly at the endpoint is terrifying.
Angel felt fortunate that currently, the only two in the Southern Domain possessing the Baiyuan Clan prophetic Talent have good relations with him.
Passing through the unicorn pasture and the Magic Falcon flight field, Angel returned all the way to the manor.
At the manor’s entrance stood two Shadow Servants, one large and one small. From their masks, it was clear that the larger one was Butler Good, and the smaller one was Hebdon.
"Welcome back, Young Master Pat." Butler Good bowed to Angel, and Hebdon followed suit, imitating Butler Good’s actions.
After responding, Angel asked: "Where is Greya?"
"Lady Barbie and Mr. Asaz are in the Mana Hut by the lake. Do you need me to call them?"
Angel shook his head: "No need, I’m just asking."
"Does the young master require a meal?" While heading to the hall, Butler Good inquired.
Angel shook his head: "No, I have something to discuss with Dororo."
After seeing Butler Good nod, Angel then turned his gaze to Hebdon. Under Hebdon’s puzzled look, Angel took out several round stones engraved with red Patterns from his bracelet and handed them to Hebdon.
Hebdon: "What is this..."
"These are offerings for the Round Stone Ceremony." Angel briefly described the setup and use of the Round Stone Ceremony.
"Young Master Pat, is this a gift from you?" Under the mask, Hebdon’s eyes brightened, lovingly caressing the round stones.
Angel gave Hebdon a deep look without answering.
Butler Good seemed to realize something as he looked at the round stones, yet he expressed no words.
"I’ll be going inside now; you can bring in tea later." With that, Angel entered the reception hall with Dororo, leaving behind a thoughtful Butler Good and a slightly bewildered yet inquisitive Hebdon.
