Chapter 1801: Section 1802: Methods of Prophecy

Muse looked at Oupulia in confusion: "Why are you here?"

Oupulia respectfully bowed to Muse: "Sir, I have something to report, which might help us uncover the details about the Seed."

Oupulia’s expression seemed calm, but there was a faint hint of excitement and thrill in his eyes. It wasn’t because he thought of a solution, but simply due to seeing Muse.

Oupulia received favors from Muse in his early years. Later, to repay Muse, he settled in Sky Mechanical City, calling himself ’Muse’s follower.’ Unfortunately, as Muse remained deep within the Research and Development Institute for years, this was Oupulia’s first sighting of his idol this year, naturally stirring his emotions.

Muse, at this moment, didn’t observe Oupulia’s subtle expressions; his full attention was on his words: "Able to uncover the details of the Seed? What is it?"

Oupulia: "Common divination usually cannot break through mysterious binds. Because of this, I can’t investigate the situation of the Seed and the Sect."

Muse understood this well. Divination seemed powerful and unmatched, yet it was easily interrupted. Moreover, fate isn’t predetermined; the future isn’t immutable, and divination isn’t universal.

A mysterious object could intervene in the results of divination.

"However, just because I can’t divine, doesn’t mean divination is completely useless." Oupulia: "What if the divination itself originated from mystery?"

"Using mystery to counter mystery." Muse unconsciously twirled his folding fan, suddenly recalling something: "Do you mean the Mystery of the Stars?"

Oupulia nodded: "Yes, exactly the Mystery of the Stars."

Muse calculated the time, realizing the Mystery of the Stars was nearing its activation. If utilized, it could indeed uncover clues about the Seed’s followers.

At this point, Rosen added: "That’s why I’m here at the Signal Tower, I intend to contact Lapuye."

...

On the other side, in the VIP carriage of the steam train.

"Mystery of the Stars?"

Angel, after hearing the transmission from Muse’s end, seemed to recall something.

Muse’s second transmission via the mini signal tower centered around this Mystery of the Stars.

The Mystery of the Stars is a mysterious object of the Crown Star Church, capable of projecting future starry skies, guiding through astrology by examining the Star Map.

Angel was not unfamiliar with this mysterious object. Frost once elucidated several renowned mysterious objects of the Southern Domain to him, stating these objects were exceedingly rare and peerless even in the Origin World.

Including the Endless Corridor of the Sky Mechanical City and the Mystery of the Stars of the Crown Star Church.

For most Transcendents, the Mystery of the Stars holds little use, but for Prophet Wizards, it is the most fitting and potent existence. Angel heard from Madeline in the Abyss that the Mystery of the Stars parallels the ’Book of Truth’ for Prophet Wizards, indicating its significance.

The Mystery of the Stars can pierce through layers of mist, probing truths and pursuing genuine answers, as well as foreseeing future secrets.

Even amidst mysterious interventions or alchemical veils, even when the subject of prophecy can perceive the web of fate, the Mystery of the Stars can effortlessly make these obstacles disappear, unknowingly allowing the truth to surface.

Despite its power, the Mystery of the Stars also has limitations. After each use, it requires six months to recharge, then it can again reveal future starry skies.

For this reason, the Crown Star Church holds a ’Star-Gazing Day’ every half-year, inviting Prophet Wizards from across regions to gather in the Glorious Realm, initiating the Mystery of the Stars.

Greya: "The next Star-Gazing Day is in half a month. Muse was correct; the Mystery of the Stars indeed holds potential to prophesy about the Seed. Perhaps it could reveal not only the Seed’s operations in the Southern Domain but also whether the Sect intends to target you and if they might wield the Arrow of the Defeated."

"However, each Prophet Wizard might perceive different prophecies at the Star-Gazing Day, and sometimes nothing is gained, especially with a directional prophecy."

"Nonetheless, it remains a viable path."

Greya paused, looking at Angel: "If you wish to foresee your situation, you’ll need a Prophet Wizard to attend the Star-Gazing Day, and with your circumstances, seek answers from the Mystery of the Stars."

Greya pondered whether any Prophet Wizard would specifically assist Angel in seeking answers.

Sanders interjected: "Muse seems to inform Angel of this matter, but in truth, he intends for it to be conveyed to Maya through Angel."

Maya is currently the sole Prophet Wizard of the Barbarian Cave, and only Maya holds the qualification to venture to the Crown Star Church to assist Angel in divining future paths.

Greya: "Would Maya agree?"

"She likely would." Even if Maya hesitates, Rhein would prompt her to proceed, as it concerns Angel’s safety.

Sanders: "Though, whether answers can be obtained from the Mystery of the Stars, that remains uncertain."

The Mystery of the Stars holds such high tiers that even Lapuye, the current Controller of the Crown Star Church, cannot ascertain obtaining specific information, let alone others.

While Sanders and Greya conversed, Angel’s mind conjured the image of Dororo.

Dororo’s prophetic talent is incredibly terrifying; perhaps he might acquire some information.

Knock, knock—

The sudden sound paused the conversation, causing Angel to instinctively glance at the signal tower, assuming Muse was transmitting again. Yet this time, it was a genuine knock on the door.

"Esteemed passengers, the train is about to arrive at Ephesovia Station..."

Five minutes later, Angel and the others descended from the steam train, including Asaz—previously stored in the Gravity Garden by Sanders when the mini signal tower sounded, now released.

Near their platform, vast stretches of farmland lay adjacent to the plateau. These farms cultivated a special frost-resistant crop, shimmering gold under the afternoon sun like a golden sea.

Greya deeply inhaled the brisk air: "I seem to smell the scent of ice field mountain sheep."

Angel: "Didn’t you just eat on the train? Moreover, the steam train just departed; all I sense is coal smoke."

In response to Angel’s tease, Greya retorted, displeased: "What I ate before was inferior. My visit to Shepherd City is to collect the finest mountain sheep meat. I smell it; over there are several prime mountain sheep scents."

With that, Greya patted Asaz’s shoulder: "Follow me."

Unconcerned about Angel and Sanders, Greya headed toward the opposite end of the farmland.

Sanders began moving as well, though he headed towards Shepherd City’s urban area.

"Won’t they wait for us?"

Sanders: "No need to bother them, Greya knows where Zithraide’s shop is."
