Warlock Apprentice -

Chapter 1780: Section 1781 Sacrifice
According to Rosen, the highest among them was a Level 1 Wizard, the leader who previously inflicted pressure on Helen. The rest were ordinary apprentices. Therefore, when Rosen found them, he alone almost suppressed them decisively.
During the suppression phase, Rosen also obtained some information from their mutterings.
Angel’s guess was correct. This group, who kept chanting "Bud God above," were unquestionably Bud followers, perhaps even fanatics.
Although they did not reveal their origins, upon return and discussion with Antonio, Rosen confirmed their accent seemed to come from the Northern Territory Wizard World.
This aligned with Angel’s previous speculation.
Because the shuttle-shaped rover they used contained "Bairen Water," a material produced in the Northern Territory Wizard World.
"They undoubtedly are Bud followers from the Northern Territory Wizard World, and based on our probe, it can be ascertained that the Bud followers in Paradow were also their offline members." Rosen said, a hint of regret flickering in his cold gaze: "It’s a pity that they didn’t address the key issue, apart from the group in Paradow, whether there are Bud followers in the Southern Domain Wizard World remains unknown."
Angel previously speculated about how Rosen would eventually handle the group. Would he eliminate them to end future troubles completely? Or, avoid enlarging disputes by signing a contract banning them from entering the Wizard realm, effectively exiling them?
However, the eventual outcome was neither.
Rosen couldn’t kill them, nor exile them; instead, the Bud followers threw themselves into the embrace of the Bud God they always worshipped.
Yes, during the suppression, they chanted special syllables, entering the disorderly rhythm of the Bud. Eventually, before Rosen’s eyes, they were dragged into the Bud whirlpool by perplexing and mysterious powers.
"Although some questions weren’t answered, the result is still satisfactory." Angel mused inwardly, knowing at least that Yirong Country’s Bud belief was uprooted.
The ending, though imperfect, could still be regarded as a good one. As for whether there are still Bud followers in the Southern Domain, without concrete answers and divination unable to probe, it is left to fate.
"After those were dragged into the Bud’s disorderly rhythm, we found Si Man on their shuttle-shaped vehicle." After discussing the Bud followers, Rosen turned the conversation to Si Man.
When Si Man was found, the magical core was imprisoned, and the bloodline power was sealed, but fortunately, these could be lifted.
Si Man’s body wasn’t harmed; she even wore splendid clothing, fragrant and clean, seemingly not subjected to their mistreatment.
Since no useful information came from the Bud followers, Rosen hoped to gather something from Si Man.
However, Si Man knew little.
Si Man only knew they captured her for a sacrificial ritual where she would serve as a living sacrifice to the Bud god.
Why she was chosen as the sacrifice, Si Man did not know.
The ritual involved a lengthy preparation phase, so Si Man wasn’t immediately sacrificed, rather, as a living sacrifice, she was meticulously cared for—fed and bathed daily, achieving the most perfect sacrifice state.
That’s why Si Man survived until now.
At this moment, Rosen suddenly focused his gaze on Angel’s shoulder, precisely on the small seagull there—Toby.
Due to Rosen’s probing yesterday, Toby remained in a state of dislike toward Rosen. When Rosen looked over, it puffed up its chest haughtily, a picture of disregard.
Rosen: "Speaking of, today’s finding of the Bud followers and rescuing Si Man is thanks to Toby."
"According to Si Man, these days they were hiding in a void crevice and were inside an exile space."
If they had stayed stationary, even with Oupulia’s divination, Rosen wouldn’t have found them because void crevices appear and disappear profusely, finding an entrance is nearly impossible, let alone in an exile space.
Precisely at this moment, Toby achieved calamity and advanced, creating vast commotion, causing a legendary aura to resonate within the void.
Thus, the Bud followers were stirred. After the legendary aura slightly calmed, they came out of the void crevice to inspect the outside world.
Rosen discovered them near Toby’s advancement site.
"Without Toby, perhaps catching them would have been challenging." Rosen’s tone was calm but carried subtle emotion.
On hearing this, Toby proudly puffed out its chest, chirping at Rosen for a long time.
Rosen couldn’t understand Toby’s chirping, nor did Angel translate, as Toby was demanding venue fees, information fees, and intelligence costs from Rosen.
Angel didn’t know where Toby learned this, but it’s best that Rosen remains oblivious.
"Overall, the operation went smoothly and the results were satisfactory." At least these who entered the disorderly rhythm wouldn’t spread Bud beliefs further in the Southern Domain; Si Man was successfully rescued, marking an adequate conclusion to the event.
Angel could temporarily set his mind at ease, as he grew up in the Southern Domain and hoped for no chaos brought by the Bud.
At this point, Antonio suddenly said, "Although it seems well now, there is one more matter needing attention."
Angel looked at Antonio in confusion, yet found him not looking at Angel but at Rosen, meaning the words were meant for Rosen.
Rosen: "I know what you’re worried about; that person was merely speaking nonsense; there’s no need to take it seriously."
Antonio: "While that’s true, Bud followers are undeniably maddened zealots. Therefore, there’s no need for them to utter this before being dragged into the disorderly rhythm. So I hope City Lord Rosen pays attention."
Rosen nodded: "I understand."
Angel listened to their dialogue, puzzled, seemingly perceiving there might be hidden truths involved?
Angel curiously voiced his confusion.
Antonio didn’t conceal and simply recounted the situation.
As those Bud followers were about to be dragged into the disorderly rhythm, the official wizard among them suddenly raised his head, with a sinister, manic, and venomous expression, uttered a sentence toward Rosen hiding at a distance, worried about being affected by the rhythm disorder—
"Judgment will soon fall upon you."
"Why not speculate from where the arrow came?"
Amid "chilling" laughter and hostile gaze, the official wizard was dragged into the dreadful Bud rhythm by eerie mysterious powers, ultimately disappearing.
