Chapter 1688: Section 1689 Destiny’s Boiling Tune

"Imprisoning murderous intent, was this your doing?" Greya held up the Crimson Heart, looking suspiciously at Sharley.

"Yes." Sharley nodded in acknowledgment.

Greya said nothing, and instead handed the Crimson Heart to Angel. After taking it, Angel carefully examined it and then said, "It is indeed considered suppression."

However, Sharley’s so-called suppression was far different from Frost’s suppression.

"Can it be used on Toby?" Greya asked.

Angel shook his head. "I’m not confident. I need to test the depth of Sharley’s abilities before I can give an answer."

In the following time, Angel began basic experiments on Sharley’s so-called "emotion suppression" through a series of methods.

This experiment lasted a long time. From morning until night.

"What were the results?" As soon as Angel stopped, Greya immediately asked.

Angel did not answer directly, but instead handed over the experiment report to Greya for her to read herself.

After reading the report, Greya frowned slightly. "It seems impossible?"

If the level interval is used for comparison, perfectly suppressing Toby’s emotions requires reaching a level of 10 or above. Sharley’s experiment report shows that her maximum suppression only reached about 3.412, far from the level of 10.

"From the results, it is indeed impossible," Angel replied.

"What do you mean by ’from the results’? Do you mean there’s another method?" Greya looked at Angel, puzzled.

"3.412 level. This number seems very low compared to 10, but if you consider Sharley’s abilities comprehensively, it’s actually very high. Of those I’ve seen, apart from Lord Frost, probably no one else can match or exceed Sharley’s level." Angel said, "Even so, Sharley hasn’t reached the passing line. It seems unfortunate, but in my view, the value of 3.412 is just right."

"Just right? Why?"

"Because I have a way to increase this value."

Greya looked at Angel with suspicion. He previously said he couldn’t find a way to suppress emotions, now that Sharley came forward, he says he has a way to increase the value. Isn’t this contradictory?

Greya voiced her doubts.

"It’s not contradictory because the way I’m talking about increasing the value is not through ’suppressing emotions.’ Instead, it’s by enhancing Sharley’s ability," Angel’s eyes gleamed with a mysterious light. "Specifically, it’s through special means to augment Sharley’s capability."

"What special means?"

"Destiny’s Boiling Tune." Angel paused. "A special magical energy array."

Destiny’s Boiling Tune is a magical energy array that can directly amplify talent. The maximum amplification can reach three times.

Sharley’s current level is 3.412. If it’s tripled, it just exceeds the 10 level. This way, as long as Sharley is within the range of the magical energy array, she can stably output a talent at the 10-level, successfully suppressing Toby’s emotions.

Greya had never heard of "Destiny’s Boiling Tune," but just by listening to Angel’s explanation, she felt both amazed and skeptical.

Being able to amplify three times the talent, isn’t this strength unusually powerful?!

In apprentices, talent can be considered a powerful weapon. However, once they cross the threshold of an Official Wizard, the presence of talent significantly diminishes.

Because its strength is no longer a threat to an Official Wizard.

But if some special talent can be amplified three times, then it becomes very powerful. For instance, the talent of Red Demon Body, that can enter Red Demon time, would be very strong even with a one-time amplification, let alone three times which would result in a transmutation!

Many talents are like this; a three-fold increase can completely change the structure of talent abilities!

Because of this, Greya was filled with doubt. "Is there really such a magical energy array?"

If there was truly such a magical energy array, even if Magic Rune Mages and Enchantment Alchemists are rare, Destiny’s Boiling Tune should have spread throughout the entire Wizards’ Realm.

Facing Greya’s skepticism, Angel explained: "Since I’ve mentioned it, it means that this magical energy array definitely exists. The reason it hasn’t been widely known might be because it has a significant flaw."

"What flaw?"

"Amplifying different talents requires consuming different demonic materials. And these materials in the magical energy array are fixed, which is... Demon Bloodstones."

For example, if you want to amplify a strength-type talent, based on different amplification magnitudes and areas, you can choose: Bear Demon Bloodstone, Giant Demon Bloodstone, Giant Troll Demon Bloodstone... For amplifying death-type talents, you can choose: Ghoul Demon Bloodstone, Raven Demon Bloodstone, Undertaker Demon Bloodstone, and so on.

And so forth.

"Using Demon Bloodstones as consumables?" Greya frowned, Demon Bloodstones are magic stones soaked in the blood of magical creatures, from the lowest-tiered Beast Bloodstones to the top-tiered stones forged in Demon God’s blood all count as one category.

According to Angel, if the amplification of talent is categorized based on the attributes of Demon Bloodstones, some talents might find it difficult to find the corresponding Demon Bloodstone.

Such as Red Demon Body, Sage Time, Water Transmutation, Fire Transmutation, and other similar talents, basically have no corresponding Demon Bloodstone. Water and Fire Transmutation, despite having water and fire attributes, cannot be simply categorized under elemental Demon Bloodstones, making it nearly impossible to find a matching Demon Bloodstone.

"Because many talents can’t find the corresponding Demon Bloodstone, this has limited the capabilities of ’Destiny’s Boiling Tune.’" Greya suddenly realized.

Angel nodded. "Not just that, many top-tier talents also require top-tier Demon Bloodstones. For instance, there’s a talent known as Dragon Scale Body that requires the Abyssal Dragon Bloodstone as the material."

The number of Abyssal Dragons is scarce, and every adult Abyssal Dragon is an existence beyond the third level of True Knowledge. Where would you find an Abyssal Dragon Bloodstone?

Because of this, despite Destiny’s Boiling Tune sounding divine, in actual operation, it comes with various restrictions, and not every talent can be successfully amplified.

"Heaven-defying abilities indeed come with corresponding limitations," Greya mused, "This is also a different form of equivalent exchange principle; to obtain amplification, an equivalent price must be paid."

After a pause, Greya looked at Sharley. "Since different Demon Bloodstones correspond to different talents, does Sharley’s ability have a corresponding Demon Bloodstone?"

"If it were any other talent, I wouldn’t be sure. But for Sharley’s ability, I happen to know of a Demon Bloodstone that should correspond." Angel said, "Demon Flower Sprite Demon Bloodstone."
