Chapter 1632: Section 1633 Unspeakable

Watching the body lying in the dust, Angel first flashed a look of pity in his eyes, then slowly let out a sigh of relief.

Katrina might not have committed a great evil, but she had regrettably believed in the Seed.

Angel banished Katrina’s body into the Void, completely eradicating all traces of existence, and cast a final glance at the small chapel before shaking his head and turning to leave.

Shortly after Angel left the parish, a streak of light flashed across the foggy sky.

Like a meteor falling, the light, dragging a long tail, descended from the sky and landed right in front of Angel.

As the halo slowly dissipated, one could see behind the halo a huge rose-patterned teapot. The base of the teapot continuously bubbled with water, strangely enough, none of the water spilled out, but rather kept the teapot steadily floating in mid-air.

From the teapot spout, an otter stealthily poked its head out, making gurgling sounds.

On the teapot’s lid, there were three people. Greya, sitting on a luxurious chair, Sharley, standing behind Greya dressed in a Magician’s attire, and Allen, who was cowering on the ground, hugging the teapot’s lid and shivering.

As soon as the teapot touched the ground, Allen immediately jumped off it.

The terror of Sharley’s teapot vehicle was too much for Allen; it wasn’t that he was afraid of heights, but his assigned spot was right at the air vent of the teapot, where a constant steam of vapor was blowing, drying him off slower than it was wetting him. Flying high in the cold altitude with his soaked clothes nearly froze him to death.

After jumping off the teapot, Allen immediately used a fire spell to dry himself completely and then used a Cleansing Spell, which made his trembling body feel slightly better.

Nevertheless, Allen’s lips were still a bit blackened.

"Little Allen, you really are delicate as a flower. As a culinary Apprentice, many ingredients are found at high altitudes. If you can’t withstand the temperatures up there, what will you do?" Sharley seemed concerned yet her eyes carried a sly look: "I think you should quickly choose a Bloodline Fusion. At least it can help you withstand the high-altitude temperatures."

Along with Greya, Sharley descended from the teapot. When they landed, the huge teapot slowly shrank back to normal size and floated around Sharley again.

Sharley walked over to Allen, thinking aloud: "After all, my Beast-Slaying Knife is still tucked in your pocket. Borrowing this bond, I’ll give you some advice. Based on your physique, I recommend you fuse with the Sky Island Mermaid Bloodline; then you won’t have to worry about high-altitude temperatures, and it could increase your physical strength too."

Allen turned and glared fiercely at Sharley: "I was placed at the air vent because of you."

"Also, the Beast-Slaying Knife is not your knife, it’s mine! And don’t think I don’t know, the Sky Island Mermaid Bloodline is only usable by females; recommending the Mermaid Bloodline to me is even worse than recommending the Succubus Bloodline."

Sharley’s eyes brightened: "So you like the Succubus Bloodline, huh? That’s also a good choice; I have a secret recipe for fusing with the Succubus Bloodline. I can tell you secretly~"

"I don’t like the Succubus Bloodline!" Allen said angrily, pointing at Sharley, wanting to swear, but since Greya and Angel were nearby, he had to swallow his anger.

Allen turned his head away, ignoring Sharley, and quickly walked up to Angel.

"Lord Pat, is there any news of my sister?" Allen asked anxiously.

Angel did not answer Allen immediately, but turned his gaze towards Greya: "How did you and Sharley come here?"

Sharley immediately stepped back, indicating that this matter had nothing to do with her.

Greya smiled and said: "I was just curious. You suddenly looked troubled and rushed here alone, could it be because there is some formidable enemy here? If there’s a formidable enemy, my presence here could be of help."

Greya said this while looking around curiously. Her gaze did not show a trace of the so-called ’support’, her face full of curiosity, clearly showing she was here for the gossip, not really to support.

Angel sighed: "You misunderstood, there’s no formidable enemy, it’s just..."

Greya’s eyes gleamed with sharpness: "Just what?"

She did not believe there was nothing tricky going on here; she had not forgotten Angel’s shocked expression when he first heard about "Seed followers." Moreover, the shock on Angel’s face at the time was mixed with troublesome irritation and an unbelievable astonishment. Such complex emotions suggested that the Seed follower was not simple.

"Just," Angel deliberately paused, leaving the sentence hanging: "there’s something on my mind."

Greya gazed deeply at Angel, not asking further.

Seeing that Angel was not answering, Allen couldn’t help but move in front of Angel; he dared not speak, yet his eyes pleaded intensely with Angel.

After a moment of contemplation, Angel slowly responded: "Regarding Irene, I indeed have some news."

A sparkle lit up in Allen’s eyes.

"My sister, where is she now?"

Angel fell silent.

Allen seemed to understand something, and the light in his eyes slowly dimmed, as he asked in an almost whispering voice, "Is she, is she still alive?"

Angel remained silent, but this time not for too long. Yet, his response only made Allen even more puzzled.

Angel: "I cannot and should not answer that."

"Why?" This was not only Allen’s question but also the perplexity of Greya and Sharley.

"Do you know the Infinite Road?" Angel countered.

Allen nodded. This term originated from dimensional fusion. Dimensional fusion is divided into three phases, namely Vase of the Garden, Infinite Road, and Moment of Plunder.

The Infinite Road is the second phase of dimensional fusion.

"The Infinite Road is the most dangerous stage of dimensional fusion, where we simply cannot reap any benefits. But actually, it is the moment of greatest benefit amongst the three phases, because amid the boundless and terrifying black realm, the world consciousness consumes Origin to establish a channel connecting two realms."

As this channel is opened by the world consciousness at the expense of Origin power, it contains many mysteries and provides a glimpse into the unknown. For instance, it allows sensing of more distant dimensions, the actualization of dimensional coordinates, and even the ability to find the primary world of a presence just by a trace of it within the bilateral channel. Because it connects wide and extends infinitely, the dimensional pathways derive from it, hence it’s named – the Infinite Road.

Although the Infinite Road presents infinite opportunities, only Legendary Wizards qualify to enter.

Below the rank of Legend, there’s practically no chance of survival.

Confusion was evident in Allen’s eyes, not understanding why Angel suddenly brought up the Infinite Road. What does this have to do with his sister?

After briefly explaining the nature of the Infinite Road, Angel continued: "You could understand it as your sister having entered the second phase of dimensional fusion."

Allen: "What do you mean?"

Angel did not explain further, but Sharley chimed in from the side, "The lord means that your sister has gone to a place of extreme danger, almost impossible for those who are not Legendary Wizards to survive."

"So, it’s almost impossible that your sister is still alive."

"But, in this place of extreme danger, there exists a slim path to life. You can think of it as the Infinite Road, where your sister also has a slim chance of being alive."

"Lord Pat cannot directly tell you the answer, because by not saying, at least the outcome for your sister only narrows down to—death or life. But once the result is revealed, in your mind, the probability of your sister’s survival will infinitely collapse, eventually nearing zero."

After Sharley finished speaking, she looked towards Angel: "Did I understand it correctly?"

Angel: "Not entirely."

Not entirely, but at least not mistaken.

Allen only felt dizzy, struggling to maintain his reason: "So, are you saying that there’s almost no chance that my sister is alive?"

"I don’t know." Angel really wanted to nod, as Irene—if nothing went wrong—definitely went to that place. But he couldn’t bear it and just passed it off with a vague ’I don’t know.’

"Then can you tell me specifically where my sister went?"

This time, Angel answered quickly and with a very solemn expression: "It cannot be said, do not ask, nor should you think about it. Do not guess, and even less should you investigate."

The ambiguously serious answer from Angel surprised Greya. She previously thought there was some gossip, but from Angel’s demeanor, it might not be gossip, but rather a thunderous revelation.

"What should I do then?" Allen murmured.

Angel stepped forward and gently patted his shoulder, "This is my advice to you, you only need to know one thing right now: your sister might be alive, and all you have to do is to cultivate and wait."

Allen also saw the seriousness in Angel’s demeanor, even Angel dared not talk more about it, what exactly did this matter involve?

"Then how long do I need to cultivate before I can go to find my sister?"

Angel: "When you are grown enough to step onto the Infinite Road, you will qualify."
