In the dead of night, Tang Yuxiu returned to the master bedroom. Gu Yan was already fast asleep, oblivious to any movements.

Gu Yan’s sleeping posture was far from graceful; it could be described as unsightly.

The blanket was twisted into a ball by her, with her whole body sprawled over it like an octopus, half under the blanket and half on top of it. In Tang Yuxiu’s eyes, it was anything but elegant, disgustingly awkward.

Tang Yuxiu looked at her with disdain and with a swift motion, yanked the blanket out from her embrace.

Deprived of the blanket filling her arms, Gu Yan frowned deeply in her sleep but didn’t wake up. She flipped over twice, instinctively reaching for the blanket but failing to find it, so she resigned and continued sleeping spread-eagle.

Unable to bear the sight, Tang Yuxiu promptly spread the blanket out and draped it over her.

Gu Yan’s face was covered, and for a moment, there was no movement. It was only when Tang Yuxiu feared she might suffocate that he grumpily pulled it down a bit to expose her head.

"Hmph." Young Master Tang snorted haughtily, tossing the blanket aside and laying down on his side.

The bed was large, and there was plenty of room for the two of them as long as Gu Yan didn’t move around so energetically.

Whether intentionally or not, she would sometimes roll over, making such a big commotion that she could practically roll from one end to the other.

Without a doubt, Tang Yuxiu found himself pinned by her limbs, while she remained blissfully unaware, sleeping soundly.

He suddenly regretted coming here to sleep. How comfortable it would have been to sleep alone in the study!

She had to be doing it on purpose, creating such chaos just to make him give up and bail on sharing a bed with her.

Young Master Tang imagined to himself how Gu Yan must be gleefully laughing in her dreams, sinisterly triumphant in her scheme, fueling a fire of anger within his heart.

He roughly pushed Gu Yan away, causing her to roll to the other side of the bed, with one leg hanging off without her noticing a thing.

However, she finally stopped bothering him. He lay flat, closed his eyes, and began to fall asleep.

When she began to stir restlessly again, Young Master Tang reached one hand under her neck, the other arm wrapped around her waist, pulling her into his embrace and holding her tightly.

Gu Yan tried to move but couldn’t, feeling uncomfortable even in her sleep, wanting to break free. Yet, Tang Yuxiu was determined to keep her locked in place, and any attempts to move proved futile.

After several attempts, Gu Yan seemed to realize it was futile, so she stopped fussing and quietly rested on Young Master Tang’s arm, falling asleep.

She finally became obedient, and Young Master Tang suddenly felt a great sense of accomplishment.

The unique fragrance of a woman lingered at the tip of his nose, and Tang Yuxiu found himself slightly distracted.

However, in the middle of the night, he was principled about not becoming aroused at any time or place.

He had work the next day, and after being tormented for so long by Gu Yan, he was tired. Suppressing the slight desire within, he held her tight and drifted into deep sleep.
