Chapter 86: Chapter 86: Being Gracious Isn’t for You
The original plan was to have the super fastidious Tang Yuxiu enter this crowded supermarket for a taste of the experience, but who knew he’d get snubbed!
Gu Yan quickly picked out several commonly used seasonings and put them in the shopping cart, then turned to the other side to buy a few unbreakable bowls and chopsticks, soup spoons, and other items. Then she took Tang Yuxiu to the food section.
Gu Yan selected some vegetables, meats, and a small amount of seafood, enough for about two days, and picked some fruit. Finally, she casually grabbed a pack of noodles and was done.
There was a long line at the checkout, and Gu Yan wanted Tang Yuxiu to wait for her outside, but Tang Yuxiu insisted on staying with her.
Gu Yan darkly wondered if he thought standing next to her infinitely highlighted his brilliance, putting up with the surrounding mess just to outshine her.
Finally, it was Gu Yan’s turn to checkout.
Tang Yuxiu nonchalantly and domineeringly pulled out his wallet, tossed a golden card onto the counter, and coldly said, "Swipe it."
The cashier girl seemed to be seeing such a handsome and lavish man for the first time, stunned for quite a while before snapping back to her senses, her cheeks red.
Gu Yan secretly mocked, yet another naive girl.
If you only look at appearances, this guy, besides a good-looking face, is actually rotten inside!
The cashier girl packed the items into three large bags before swiping the card.
She held the card in both hands to return it to him, but he disdainfully glanced at it and said to Gu Yan, "You take it."
Saying this, he turned around and walked away arrogantly.
Gu Yan, "..." I said you could leave, now at least carry a bag before you go!
Gu Yan smiled apologetically at the cashier girl, "He’s shy, please don’t mind."
"No, no," the cashier girl shook her head vigorously, afraid Tang Yuxiu might misunderstand that she has any opinion about him.
Gu Yan put the card away, struggled to carry the three large bags out of the supermarket.
Tang Yuxiu was already waiting by the car, and when he saw her coming out, he still had no intention of coming over to help with the bags, opening the car door and sitting inside.
"Damn! Men with no gentlemanly manners are the worst!" Gu Yan shouted at him, but Tang Yuxiu pretended not to hear.
Gu Yan went to the trunk, dropped the bags to the ground, and forcefully slapped the car, signaling for him to open the rear.
Only after everything was loaded did Gu Yan sit in the car, breathing heavily.
"Buckle up," Tang Yuxiu flatly reminded her.
Gu Yan glared at him while fastening the seatbelt, "No manners."
"Even if I did, it wouldn’t be for you, servant."
Gu Yan choked, a surge of anger stuck in her chest with no release, she held it in, continued to hold it in!
Gu Yan silently sulked with Tang Yuxiu, not saying another word to him until they got home.
"Petty woman," Tang Yuxiu retorted.
Gu Yan didn’t even look at him, got out of the car, pulled out three large bags from the trunk, and struggled to carry them to the villa.
Tang Yuxiu parked the car, walked over with big strides, easily took the bags from her, and wordlessly walked to the front door.
Watching his back, Gu Yan huffed, "Only when we get home do you decide to carry them, too late!"
Once home, Tang Yuxiu threw the bags in the kitchen and immediately went upstairs to shower.
Meanwhile, Gu Yan fetched water and scrubbed the kitchen until it was clean, then neatly arranged the items they bought.
When Tang Yuxiu came downstairs in his pajamas, he saw Gu Yan busy in the kitchen.
The things they bought were categorized and placed in different spots, quickly filling the once cold and empty kitchen.
She looked at her handiwork with satisfaction, wiping the sweat from her forehead.
