Chapter 114: Crown
Chapter 114: Crown
"T-Ten times..." I said, laughing awkwardly, "I’m afraid that’s bad for the health, my dear husband."
I deliberately acted cute, biting my lips and blinking my eyes—ugh, I want to puke. But this way, maybe he would be lenient with me, even just a little.
"How about five instead?" I smiled sweetly at him. "Or less?"
Eun-Woo chuckled.
"You should have given me five questions then. Why did you make it ten?" he said, shrugging. "Obviously, you are the one who wants to do it ten times."
"W-What?! No way!" I blurted out. "I asked ten questions since five would have been too easy, and you have to get all of them right. So, the more questions, the more chances of you not winning."
"See where your wicked thoughts brought you? How dare you plot against your husband like that?" Eun-Woo pouted in a mocking way. "Now, you have to suffer its consequences. A deal is a deal, my dear wife."
Damn it! Now, I’m regretting why I gave him ten questions. Ugh!
Should I continue begging? Would he be lenient? Or should I use his weakness? He’s weak against tears, right?
But then... I couldn’t get myself to act pitiful and cry.
Okay. I’ll try bargaining again.
"Let’s make it six times then," I suggested, trying to reason with him. "Or seven—but not ten, please. You may have all the stamina in the world, but I don’t. And we shouldn’t even be doing it so often. You have to take care of your health—and mine."
"Ohh... Trying to bargain with me, huh?" Eun-Woo smirked. "I’m glad you still remembered the lessons I taught you before—tactics to manipulate someone. Too bad it won’t work on me. I can read you like an open book."
Right. He was a master manipulator, after all. I almost forgot. Ugh. Should I act angry? Or try crying?
"I know what you’re thinking as well, my dear wife," he continued, raising one of his eyebrows. "It’s ten times, and that’s final. There’s nothing you can do about it."
Ugh. That’s it. I give up. If there’s no way out of this deal. I should just accept my fate.
Oooor... I could offer something he might like.
Something... a little naughty, but I’ve been wanting to try with him. I read it in the Art of Seduction manual as well. It’s just that I was too shy to ask.
Biting my lips and averting my eyes, I told him my other preposition.
"How about we exchange five times with a new experience for you?"
Eun-Woo raised his eyebrows, probably curious about what I meant.
"New experience, huh? And what would that be?"
Gathering my courage, I leaned over to him and whispered to his ears.
My heart thumped loudly as I said those embarrassing words.
Ba-dump! Ba-dump! Ba-dump!
And after I said it, Eun-Woo was too stunned to speak.
...
...
...
"Cough... cough..." he cleared his throat after the long pause.
His whole face turned red, and he closed his eyes while biting his lips.
Did he not like it? I gathered all my courage to say it, and you would react like that?! How dare you?! To think I even thought of doing it for you! Argh!
"If you don’t like it, then don’t!" I shouted at him in my anger. "Hmp!"
"No, my dear wife," Eun-Woo replied quickly. "It’s not that I don’t like it. In fact, I do! I would love to try that with you—too much that I... my heart... just one moment, please. You’re giving me a heart attack."
"Huh? A heart attack?"
He then breathed in deeply, regaining his composure back.
"My dear wife is so adorable and precious. You love your husband so much that you’re willing to do that, huh? I’m so happy."
Eun-Woo grinned and embraced me tightly.
"Alright, I’ll allow it. Let’s exchange five times with ’that’ instead."
My face lit up the moment he said that.
"Really?!"
"Yes."
"Promise?"
"Yes, I promise."
"You’re not going back on your word later, okay?"
"Yeah, I won’t."
"Yes!"
Shortly after that, we returned upstairs to have dinner before resuming to review the files. It usually took me one to three days to review such files, depending on the length and depth of information in them. For this one, I think I need a whole day. I’m halfway through everything, so by tomorrow afternoon, I should be able to finish them. After that, we could finally take action.
As for Agent Helios, well, I’m not sure. It probably takes him only hours to do so, considering he was already done with it earlier. I wonder what kind of brain he had. How lucky of him to have such superior genes. He probably got it from his father.
Now that I think about it, Agent Helios truly had amazing skills. Those scores and grades from his assessments and skills profile were all very misleading. Looking at just the numbers, we only had a five to ten percent gap in each skill, but that five to ten percent was truly vast in reality!
With his kind of skills—be it intellectual, physical, combat, or whatever—I wouldn’t be surprised if he would be the one to replace Chief Zeus someday. Well, that’s IF he would continue being an agent and get himself promoted in the future. If not, he would probably take over his dad’s company. Whichever the case, he would surely live a busy life.

[Inside the library after dinner...]
"Hmmm... It seems like the next target will be a tough one," I muttered as I continued reading the documents on my tablet.
There was no need to stay in the basement since I pretty much had a grasp of how the next part of the mission would go. Still, to be on the safe side, I put on a privacy filter on my tablet so no one else could see what I was working on.
"Ye-Ji’yaaaaa," Eun-Woo called out to me in such a bored tone. "How long will you study that? Let’s go to bed now. What’s taking you so long?"
He was lounging on the couch at that time, looking like a lazy person. Oh well, I couldn’t blame it if he’s bored. He was probably done with the files already.
"Well, sorry if I’m taking so long to review the files, my lewd husband who only has sex in his mind," I answered him sarcastically.
"Correction. It’s not sex that’s always in my mind—it’s you," he replied so confidently.
Tsk. As if I’d believe that.
"But then again, thinking about you leads to that as well since I can’t help but feel like I want to touch you and kiss you all the time."
Yup. No filter at all.
"Why, thank you for sharing such disturbing thoughts. Now, if you’ll just shut up for a moment, then maybe I’ll be done sooner."
"Ugghhh. You can do that tomorrow."
"No. I want us to take action tomorrow. Not review again. I don’t like wasting time."
"Then study it faster. Or better yet, let me give you the summary."
"Nope. That won’t work."
"Ughh..."
Haah... What’s wrong with this guy? He’s acting like a child.
Knock! Knock!
One of the maids knocked on the wooden shelf to announce her presence—though there was no need to since I had already heard her open the door to the huge library and walk towards us long ago.
"Madam, your tea is here," she said. "We got a new brand delivered today. I’m sure you’ll like it."
"Thanks."
She then poured the tea into cups and gave each of us—one to my lazy husband and one for me, who was diligently sitting at the desk.
"Uhm, that smells nice," I said as I picked up the teacup and drank it.
The moment the tea got closer to my nose, I suddenly remembered something.
The scent... was familiar.
Curious, I asked the maid, "What kind of tea is this? What brand?"
"Only from the most expensive one, madam—Crown."
Crown? It really was an expensive brand, though they have lots of products from common goods to hotels and other business establishments.
"Can I see the box?"
"It’s not inside a box, but rather a glass jar, madam."
The maid then took the glass jar and showed it to me.
My eyes widened as soon as I saw it.
"What’s wrong, my dear wife?" Eun-Woo asked from afar as he got up from the couch and walked toward me. "Do you like it that much?"
"N-No... it’s not that. It’s just..."
Noticing I couldn’t say it, he asked the maid to leave. And so, she did. Once outside, I quickly told him what I had in mind.
"This tea... it’s the same one that Yoon-Ah received from the person who saved her that day when she was almost assaulted—Mr. Seo-Hyuk."
My heart hammered in my chest as my mind instantly thought of all the worst-case scenarios that could have happened.
"That guy? But doesn’t he live around your friend’s neighborhood?"
"Yeah! That’s why I thought he was just a—How much is this tea?"
"Well... Not something regular people should be able to buy."
F*ck. Don’t tell me that guy was...
Ba-dump! Ba-dump! Ba-dump!
"Yoon-Ah might be in danger!"
