"You’re awake..." Helion said as he was still holding my hand, while father on the other side.

"Yes, Can I have a glass of water?" I asked as my voice sounded hoarse because of dryness.

Helion called Mildred, who obeyed him, to get me some glass of water.

"What did Evan do to you?" her father asked as he looked at her while his jaw was clenching.

"He already knew about Noraya," I said as I looked at the two of them.

"Paul told him that Noraya is his sister, which made him attack me as he kept on saying sorry," I said as I explained to them.

"That still didn’t give him the right to attack you like this!" he exclaimed as he was gasping for breath as he was trying to calm himself.

"Paul was the one who made him do it. I already wounded her, and he told him that she was his sister, which made him attack me," I said as I was still trying to defend him. As I understand why he did that.

Father and Helion just sighed at me.

"There’s also something good that happened here." the emperor broke the silence as he seemed to read the room’s atmosphere.

I look at him as I am waiting for him to continue what he was going to say.

"The Emperor of Sullaivan was captured and he is now in a secret room here in the palace; as we all know, if we put him together with the traitors, they are just going to try to escape," he said as he looked at me.

"Others?" I asked as I looked at them and was curious about who else got caught.

"Yes..." Helion said as he looked at me as he sat beside me on the bed, which made my father glare at him.

"Lord Abellarde, along with some of the other noblemen, was found plotting treason against the empire as they conspired with the empire’s enemy," Helion said as he was explaining what I missed while I was asleep.

Did I sleep that much? maybe because it was already evening.

"What about the emperor?" I asked as I looked at them, and Helion moved like he stiffened at my question.

"Why do you ask about him?" he asks, as there is something in his voice I don’t know, but he sounds jealous.

"Because he must know about where Abanoon is and the others," I said as I rolled my eyes at him.

I saw Helion sigh in relief at my answer.

"He was in a secret room out here in the palace," The emperor said as he looked at his own son.

"Baron Abellarde and the others were in the dungeon," He continued as he looked at me while he said those words.

I looked at father when I caught him sighing in the corner.

"What’s wrong father?" I asked as I saw him unconsciously sighing as he seemed to be thinking about something.

"No, I was trying to remember something," he said but he seems to be out of his mind.

"We will rest first, and we will talk to them tomorrow. We’ve been trying to make them speak, but they won’t say a word," the emperor said as he sighed as he tapped my father on his shoulder.

After they left the room, I was left with Helion who was still holding my hand.

"Are you hungry?" he asked as he was caressing my hand like he was afraid of letting it go.

I nodded my head as a response and that’s when he finally let go of my hand.

Not long after, he came back with some food with him, and also Mildred was behind him, who was also holding some food.

"Your highness." Mildred said as she greeted me while Helion put the food on my bed and started getting some.

"Eat this one," he said as he made a motion with the spoon toward me and was going to feed me.

I look at the food as I open my mouth to accept it.

I felt embarrassed that I couldn’t help but feel the heat on my cheeks.

Helion fed me, and Mildred went out of the room after I finished eating the food. she even looks at me worriedly, but I can also see the relief in her eyes.

"You should take some sleep," Helion said as he stood up and walked to the bathroom. I just nodded at him and closed my eyes.

I didn’t but I feel really sleepy. I just felt that something warm hugged me from behind.

I woke early that morning without Helion by my side.

Mildred said that he went with father to look for Noraya and the other nobles who were involved with treason.

The emperor and the others had caught some, but there were still some traitors who had fled and based on what she heard from Ernie and Jarnus when they went to her this morning, those traitors are planning to flee to Tenebrisaya.

I was walking my way to the emperor’s palace when I passed the empress palace.

The place was protected with some barriers I made myself. it has been almost one week, and I know that the empress will wake up soon.

I was just worried about her reaction when she learned that I married her son. I think she hated it the most even when she was still herself.

"Your highness." the knights greeted me when they saw me with Mildred, who was walking behind me.

I just nodded at them as I continued on walking.

The emperor’s palace was the biggest palace here, and it was in the center of all palaces here.

I looked around as I was walking through the hallway.

"Your Highness."

The maids greeted me and I nodded back to acknowledge their presences.

"Have you heard about what happened near the crown princess palace?" I heard one of the knights say as he was talking with some other knights and maids.

"Yes, I was still in shock when I learned that it was Lady Noraya who did that," the maid replied and she even gasped when she said those words.

"Who would have thought that Lady Noraya was capable of doing that kind of thing?" one of the male servants said as they seemed to be oblivious to her presence.

"But I heard that Lady Noraya’s body has been possessed by an evil goddess?" I heard the knight say as he looked at the three people he was talking with.

Why am I always hearing the servants gossiping?

"Just like what happened to the empress?" one of the maids said as her eyes widened.

"Yes, just like what happened to Her Majesty," the male servant said as he nodded at the maid.

"Why are the kind people the ones who get possessed? Why not like Lady Acantha?" I heard the other maid say, and I remembered her face.

She was the one who was always behind Noraya whenever she was here in the castle.

"Hey, that’s out of line, and besides, she was her highness now; you should know your place," the knight said as he looked at the maid, who just grimaced at him.

"Hmmm, you’re just a coward who couldn’t even voice his own opinion, and besides, his highness and lady Acantha’s wedding was so fast that not even we knew about it," the maid said as she rolled her eyes at the knight.

"Emily, you should be careful of your words, and besides, Her highness Acantha was the one who was protecting the empire," the other maid said as she looked at the maid named Emily.

"I was just saying the truth. We all know that if the empress were awake, their wedding wouldn’t have happened, and besides, I think Lady Noraya deserved to be our crown princess; she had been training and been trained to be one since she was young," she continued as she glared at the three other people.

"But that’s not what I heard from the other knights," the knight said as he looked at the maid named Emily, who turned to him.

"The knights have a big respect for Her Highness and they said that His Highness was very much in love with her," the knight said as he looked at Emily, who snorted at him.

"That was just some rumor; the knights respect her because she was strong enough to help them and protect them," Emily said as she was still insisting on something.

"Your Highness." I looked back when someone shouted and greeted me.

When I looked, I saw Ernie, who was rushing towards me while Mildred and I were just standing behind the large statue that was in the emperor’s palace.

I looked back and saw the four people who were talking behind me pale, especially the maid named Emily.

"Your highness.."

They all said, while their voices were shaking in nervousness, while their heads were bowing at me.

I looked at them and didn’t say anything. I will deal with her later; first I need to see the emperor.
