Chapter 15: The Chaos

Acantha was dancing with Evander as the music plays and she was feeling a little bit awkward with the way he looks at her.

"So, it’s really true you have lost your memory, my lady?" He asked as we were dancing.

"You have heard right?" I said as I was trying to sound not too rude.

We were dancing when we heard the music stop and there I saw the crown prince coming to our direction.

"I’ll borrow her ," He rudely snatched me from Evander who seems to be left in surprise.

He guided me out of the crowd and I even saw Noraya was trying to go after us but with so many people on her way she lost us. I tried looking for my father but he wasn’t there anymore with Count Triduexfort.

"Hey, there you are with your hobby of pulling and dragging me somewhere," I said as I wasn’t resisting from his grip, I know how strong he was so it was useless to try, damn! didn’t he knew how heavy the dress I’m wearing? and besides I was wearing

He didn’t said any word but he drag me to the garden. " What do you need?" I said as soon as we settled in the garden’s pavilion.

He just looked at me and didn’t said anything , "What did you know about the Northern territory?" He asked as he look straight in my eyes.

What does he mean by that? " What do I need to know about my mother’s family’s territory?" I asked trying to make him more suspicious that I knew something about.

He looked at me again trying to see whether I was lying or not. "Are you sure?" He asked for the second time as if he was not convince.

"You can tell me if you knew something about that place," I said as I took off my shoes.

He just shook his head as he look down and saw what I did," Why did you take off your shoes?" He asked as he frowned.

"Well, Your highness. You’ve been dragging me here like you were racing with something, and these shoes are killing my foot," I said as I massage my right foot.

"Call me Helion" He said as he went down , I was startled when he gets one of my foot and put his hands on it like he was healing it.

"What are you doing?" I said as I get my feet from and looked at him like he was some kind of pervert, I tried wiggling my feet as he already got both of them.

"Stay still. I was just trying to heal your feet," He said and right there I saw and feel the warm light came from his hands.

When he finished I feel better with my feet, " Should you at least say thank you?"

I make face as I rolled my eyes at him , " Well. thank you. Your highness" I said mockingly.

"Didn’t I told you a while ago that you should call me Helion, after all we’re acquaintances now," he said as went back to where he was seating.

I was about to answer when we heard a loud bang from the castle, I looked at him as he went up and was ready to run when he remember that I was still here.

He guided me as we ran towards the castle, and we even saw Ernie and Jarnus coming to our directions.

"Your highness" They both said as they greeted him, their eyes grow bigger when they notice that I was here," L-lady Acantha," Both of them said in chorus like they practice it for so long.

"What’s happening?" Helion asked both of them.

"The castle were attacked by some assassins that were sent by Tenebrisayan," Jarnus said as they were running toward the place.

"How could that happened?" Helion asked them again as he was frowning.

I was behind them and was just listening to what they were saying, Uggh Acantha’s body is really weak it can’t keep up with their pace.

I shriek when I felt that I was binded by some force, the three in front of me stopped when they saw that I was now floating in the air.

"Well, well, well, if it isn’t the crown prince himself," Someone said below me and I saw a figure who was wearing a mask and a cloak.

"Who are you?" Helion asked him as he was holding his sword. He looks up and meet my eyes.

"The one who will kill you," the man said as he motions his hands like he was signaling someone, and when did that may shadows went out and attack the three of them, I was still in the air feeling the coldness of the wind,

I saw Jarnus also pulled his sword as he fought back the shadows, when I saw a man lying in the ground and his body just disappear in the thick air.

Helion went straight to the man who said that he would kill him, the man sent some black smoked towards him, and all I could do was to wiggle in the thin air.

The man who was wearing black mask and was sending some black smoke to Helion and he sent another fire using some magic, I was scared when I saw that I can’t see them. The man laughed maniacally as he sent another blast into the fire trying to make sure that whoever his opponent will be dead.

He looks in the sky as he laugh and when he did that our eyes met and he did the same smile as he did awhile ago.

"Well this is fate, I got the duke’s daughter, and I already killed the monstrous prince with his mice," He said as he went near me. "If I’ll bring you with me your father mig-" He didn’t finished his sentence when he was stabbed by a sword that was infuse with light.

The man cough blood and he looked back which also made me look from where the sword came from, right there and then I saw Helion who has a deadly aura walks towards us.

He looks exactly how the author describe him, he looks really murderous and his eyes were the color of blood .

"Damn, who would’ve thought that you were still alive?" The man said as he sent another blast towards Helion which he just dock, he summoned his sword from the man’s body and the sword glows more and make a bigger light which made the mask man stepped back.

There was a light that came towards the mask man directions as Helion wave his sword.

The mask man fell in the ground and just like what happened to the other shadows he also disappeared from the air which meant-

"AHHH" I shouted when I felt myself falling from above.

Helion looks up and wave his hands and I stopped from falling, I was floating again but this time it was slowly putting me down in the ground.

"Lady Acantha" Jarnus and Ernie said they run toward my directions.

"Are you alright my lady?" Ernie said as he was looking any bruise on my hand.

"Idiot what are you doing?!" Jarnus said as he hit Ernie on his head.

"I was just checking whether the lady was alright," he said as he scratches his head where he was hit by Jarnus.

"Helion!" We heard someone shouts and there I saw Noraya with the Emperor and the Empress ,and my father.

"Aki" My father went to me as he hugged me tightly like I was some kind of a broken glass, "Are you alright ,Aki?" The duke said as he was trying to see if I was hurt or not.

"What was going on?" The emperor ask as he looked on us.

"We were attacked by some assassins which is one their highest ranking magician everything that you encounter in the castle was just and illusion they put some bomb to make it more believable that they were attacking the palace," Jarnus explained as he bows his head to the Emperor and the Empress.

"Seems like it was stage as their real target was the prince" The duke said as he was still hugging me tightly.

"But why are they here? I thought you already secure all the possible passage that they can pass through?" The emperor asked as he was looking worried from the attack as many people witnesses it and he was sure that the people on his empire will surely panic and think that they are not safe anymore.

"They were already here before we put some barriers, we just didn’t check whether some of Tenebrisayan already went inside the kingdom , and they were just lurking trying to find the perfect timing to attack," Helion said as he looked at me and then he looked back to his parents.

I sighed while I was in my father’s arms as I was really feeling tired from everything, I closed my eyes and before I could loose my consciousness I heard my father shouts.
