Following the accident, a familiar emotionless voice came from the nearby speaker. "First severe warning for S-52. Killing is prohibited within the prison grounds." S-52 was exactly the inmate number for Lu Yizhou.

The warning in the prison was divided into two levels: normal and severe. Yesterday, Christian had also gotten a warning for talking about Pandora, however the level of warning he received was normal. In such cases, punishment would only be given once the number of warnings exceeded three. As for severe warnings...

The voice spoke again, "Warden, execute first-level punishment."

...They would immediately be punished. Of course, the level of punishment for each severe warning was different. It included but not limited to food confiscation, increase of workload, and electric shock.

Everyone in the vicinity gave Lu Yizhou a look of schadenfreude and pity. What kind of shitty luck did this person have? As soon as he came, he violated an important rule and received first-level punishment. He must have been a great sinner in his past life! Wait, no, even now he was still a sinner. This ought to be retribution...

The warden gave Lu Yizhou a strange smile. Before Lu Yizhou could comprehend what it meant, numbness spread from the back of his neck to his entire body. Lu Yizhou’s body stiffened. This was an electric shock! A muffled groan escaped his lips as he gripped onto the nearest table for support, so tight that his knuckles turned white. Colors drained from his face and his entire body broke out in cold sweat. However, no matter how painful it was, he merely gritted his teeth and did not let out any sound. Even his expression hardly changed at all.

People who were waiting to see him fall were disappointed. In exchange, they became even more wary and apprehensive toward this madman. He could even withstand the torment of being electrocuted. In the future, they’d better steer clear from this person!

The electric current only lasted for a few seconds. However, for Lu Yizhou, it was as if half a lifetime had already passed. This time, he no longer had the pain-endurance and regeneration ability of a Zombie King. Even though the system had shielded 50% of the pain for him, it was still agonizing enough that his eyes blackened for a split second. When he came to, his head was spinning and his ears were filled with white buzz. Through his hazy vision, he could see a flash of fear on the people in front of him as well as... Christian whose hand was stretched out midway toward him.

Lu Yizhou furrowed his brow. What did this person want?

Taking in a few steadying breaths, Lu Yizhou forced himself to stand straight. Fortunately, his pain threshold was already high to begin with so he was able to ignore the discomfort in his body.

666’s flustered voice seemed like it had been through some kind of filter, far and hazy.

[666: H–H–Host, a–are you okay?!]

[Fine.] he spat out.

A flicker of interest flashed through the warden’s eyes as he measured Lu Yizhou with his eyes. But in the end, he turned away and glanced at the clock. "Two more minutes. Finish your meal, gather your trays and line up in front. We still have a long schedule ahead of us."

Beside him, Christian withdrew his hand and shoved it into his pocket. What was he doing? Did he actually want to... help this man earlier? With an irritated look on his face, he grabbed his tray and tossed it into the disposal bin, taking the lead to line up in front of the door. Nobody dared to cause a ruckus anymore. Hastily spooning the rest of the food into their mouths, everyone obediently took care of their tray and lined up. Lu Yizhou was the last because his legs were still a bit weak.

[666: Host, are you really okay? Y–You’re scaring 666...]

Lu Yizhou snorted. [I don’t remember you being such a scaredy cat.]

[666: N–No, but you’re really scary! Just now, when you were electrocuted, 666 saw you... smiling!]

...What?

[Me?] Lu Yizhou doubted what he was hearing. [Smiling??]

[666: Y–Yes, yes, yes! 666 has been with you for so long but never saw you show that kind of smile before! QAQ oh my Admin God, you look like an evil spirit! So scary!]

Lu Yizhou knitted his brow deeper. He always felt like something had been off ever since he woke up, however he just could not put a finger to it. It might be him being paranoid, but... [Pull up the surveillance footage!]

As the warden was explaining the course of the day, Lu Yizhou’s attention drifted elsewhere. Inside his mind, he saw a projection of the CCTV in the dining hall earlier. Fortunately, this prison was equipped with tight surveillance, enabling him to inspect the strange happenings around him with 666’s help.

—That’s right, strange happenings.

Everything around him was odd to some degree, but Lu Yizhou could not even ascertain if this was what the warden was talking about because it seemed to happen only to him and nobody else.

The position of the CCTV gave Lu Yizhou an aerial view of the dining hall. It just coincidentally captured his side profile. He saw himself bending over and gripping the table beside him for support. His head was hung low and his breathing was uneven. And then... out of everyone’s sight, the corner of his lips stretched upward into a smile.

Lu Yizhou froze in shock. 666 was right, he would have never made such a smile!

How to describe it? It was a smile filled with malicious intent, yet there was also a bewitching charm to it. Lu Yizhou knew himself, at most he would only lift the corner of his lips or sneer coldly, giving off a frosty and distant aura. But this smile clearly was not included in the above category. It made Leonard’s face look unfamiliar as if... as if he had become a different person! 666’s description was actually quite accurate. He indeed looked like an evil spirit for that split second...

The main problem was... he was certain that he had not smiled! What kind of masochist was he to smile like that when his body was wrecked in such agony?!

As Lu Yizhou’s mind was clamoring about this strange phenomenon, it took him a while to realize that everyone, including the warden, was staring at him as if waiting for something. Lu Yizhou’s face was blank. "...What?"

The warden gave a false smile and clapped twice in perfunctory. "That’s it. You will be put in the tailor team for the next three days."
