Chapter 346: 7.36 Nightmare
cw: description of rape/non-con. You have been warned
***
Everyone was horrified and curious in equal measure by the sight in front of them. Mr. Agenor’s assistant, Orion, who had miraculously retained his composure, turned to face the crowd and bent down to his waist. "I apologize deeply on Mr. Agenor’s behalf for the unsightly disorder that has happened tonight. We will make sure to give you proper compensation. Meanwhile, please return to the main hall and wait for the auction to continue."
Who would have the heart to continue sitting and bidding for expensive items when they had more interesting things to talk about? It was utterly because they had to give Mr. Agenor some face that they complied to Orion’s words and turned away, not before giving a few glances back. The last thing they saw was two bodyguards struggling to peel Zion away from the unfortunate man below him and the way he gave a frenzy struggle, not even caring that his hard dick was jutting out in the air proudly.
It was expected that Mr. Zion Tenley’s reputation would be in shambles as soon as the event ended tonight.
***
This was a nightmare. It must be.
Cedric didn’t actually want to tag along but Regius persuaded him for days. "Oh, come on, it will be fun!" His best friend had said. "There will be lots of important people there. If you don’t want to socialize, then you can go to experience their lifestyle and eat delicious food."
Even then, Cedric still hesitated. He knew his own place. Such a formal event like a charity auction, moreover one that was organized by the Wind Group... it seemed like something he could only encounter on television. "I don’t—"
Regius held his shoulders and said somberly. "Cedric, you can’t always be like this. You’re kind and brilliant. You know the only thing you lack? Status. Even though Mr. Tenley is fucking you regularly — oh don’t look at me like that. Of course I know — you’re nothing but a dispensable toy in his eyes. He has lots of beautiful men and women lining up to climb the bed. What do you have compared to them?" Regius leaned in to whisper into his ears. "Of course, you will be able to get closer to him if you go to this event. It’s time for you to stop pinning and get your man!"
Was it his fault to trust Regius? Should he not come tonight afterall? Cedric found himself asking as he curled up on the floor, delirious. He was too weak to even cry. His body was wrecked, his bottom half bloodied and bruised.
Cedric had sensed that Regius and Zion were up to something. Afterall, they often got together to discuss some plans, excluding him every single time. In spite of his curiosity, there was nothing he could do. Regius was smarter, bolder and more easy going and charismatic than he was. If there was someone who was suited to stand by Zion’s side, then it should be him, not Cedric.
Cedric only knew bits and pieces from the time when Regius got too drunk and unknowingly blurted out his true feelings. They were going to take revenge on Moshe — the man who had dumped Regius as well as the one who had hurt Zion in the first place.
The details of it... maybe Cedric subconsciously didn’t want to find out too much, fearing that the image of his best friend and the man he had a crush on would be distorted in his mind.
"After I have led him there," Zion had told him in the car before they entered the venue. "Guard the door. Deflect anyone who wants to come in. No matter what you hear inside, ignore it."
Cedric had agreed, not thinking too much about it. His mistake. Maybe one of the biggest mistakes he had ever made.
One second he was just wondering why Zion had brought someone other than Mr. Morelli and the next second, the door behind him creaked open and a powerful force yanked him in. Cedric’s back was slammed against the floor and he gasped in shock. However before he could react, someone descended on him and began to tear his clothes to pieces, biting and gnawing on his neck.
Cedric’s eyes widened in horror and he tried to push the man’s shoulders to no avail. "No...!" When he realized it was none other than Zion, he struggled even more. Dread crawled up his spine along with the suggestive and frantic touches on his body. Cedric had gotten familiar with Zion’s touches in the span of time they had known each other. It could always ignite a flame of desire within him that he had no idea existed before. But not this... this was... "What’s wrong with you, Mr. Zion?! Not right now, not like this—"
The man above him was vicious, relentless in his pursuit as if he could die if he didn’t get to Cedric’s bare skin in the next second. Cedric struggled with all his might, kicking and punching, but it was as if what was pressing him down wasn’t a man, but a block of ice. Cold, unfeeling, only caring for his own desire and nobody else. When the thick, throbbing shaft breached through his dry unstretched hole, he screamed in pain. Tears welled up in his eyes, blurring the sharp light from the ceiling.
It hurts it hurts it hurts. He could feel himself bleeding with Zion’s every thrust, his delicate chrysanthemum torn open, every petal withering and stained with blood. "Zion... no..." He gasped, head rolling weakly to the side. It was then that he noticed the presence of another for the first time. Cedric’s eyes lit up in hope and he forced out with the remaining strength he had, too deep in his own fear to realize the oddness of their current situation. "Help! Help me! Please—!"
The man was pouring himself a glass of wine. The liquid trickled against the glass, the sound especially loud against Zion’s heavy breathing by his ear and his own irregular heartbeats.
That man was not destined to be Cedric’s savior tonight. He was no angel.
With a glass of wine in his hand, he lifted his eyelids to meet Cedric’s teary and desperate ones and then... he walked closer, his steps measured and deliberate. Plopping himself down to the sofa, he tipped his glass in Cedric’s direction before sipping it with the barest of smiles on his face.
Cedric’s blood instantly ran cold and everything ceased existing for a split second. "W–Why..." The man didn’t look away. Under the light, his eyes seemed to gain a crimson glow, crinkled with mirth and amusement. He looked so composed and serene, as if he was listening to a world famous classical concert and not witnessing the act of the filthiest pillage under his feet. Cedric’s whole body was petrified in fear. A devil, his mind supplied unhelpfully. The one he was facing must be the devil himself...
Cedric started to cry and when the pain became too much, he whimpered and pleaded. Subsequently, his throat became too hoarse and his tears dried up. He could only stare at the ceiling blankly, his mind devoid of thoughts save from the pair of curved crimson eyes that seemed to have emerged from the darkness, chasing him as he was running desperately for his life.
It felt like eternity before the weight above him disappeared. By then, Cedric could only curl up and hug his stomach, trying to cover up to spare himself this bit of dignity. He could tell that quite a lot of people had gathered in the front door. Watching him, whispering, pointing—
They saw me, Cedric thought tremblingly as tears slid out from his eyes. Everyone saw me like this...
"Mr. Cedric?" A hand landed on his shoulder and Cedric quaked with fear, his blank eyes filled with the horror and dread of the pain. No... no... he mouthed. Don’t touch me. Leave me alone. "Mr. Cedric, it’s okay, everything will be fine now."
There was a pinprick of pain on his arm. Something cold was injected to his system and without him realizing, Cedric’s mind became peacefully blank. He gave himself up to the darkness, wishing that everything was just a nightmare and he would still wake up in his own room.
The scene was quickly taken under control. Medics poured into the room to perform emergency first aid on the man who was bleeding profusely from his intimate part.
Mr. Agenor’s assistant could only step away after barking a series of commands. Noticing the very source of the commotion in the corner of the room, he hastily jogged to them, asking wearily. "Mr. Aiden, are you okay?"
Before Lu Yizhou could reply, Moshe stepped up to block him with his own body. His smile was grim. "My companion seems to have suffered a scare. I’m sorry but we are unable to continue staying until the end of the event. Please relay my apology to Mr. Agenor."
"Of course, of course. I will make sure to relay it to him. You should go back and have some rest. Once again, I apologize for the discomfort you have experienced tonight."
On the other side of the room, four men were holding Zion down who struggled like a wild beast, growls rising from his throat. Orion snapped without turning around. "Just knock him out, for God’s sake." There was a surprised grunt, then everything turned peaceful.
Moshe tugged on Lu Yizhou’s elbow. "Come on."
With just a glance, Lu Yizhou could tell that Moshe was barely holding himself back from wrangling Zion’s neck off his head once and for all. The lines of his lips were stern and redness still lingered on the corner of his eyes. Lu Yizhou sighed, knowing that he had a lot of explaining to do and this time, he doubted that Moshe would ever let it go like before.
He complied wordlessly, letting himself be guided out of the resting lounge. Despite Orion’s words, a few people still lingered from afar and they instantly averted their eyes when Moshe swept his frosty gaze around.
Just in time, two guards arrived carrying a limp Regius whose hair was messy and suits rumpled. Gone was his air of loftiness when he provoked Moshe. The door behind them hadn’t closed yet, giving Regius a perfect glimpse of Zion and Cedric, as well as the mess inside. His eyes widened in horror as he took in his best friend’s horrendous condition as well as Zion who was lying unconscious not far away.
Regius wasn’t stupid. In a matter of seconds, he had put two and two together. In an instant, he trembled, his already pale face became ghastly.
What was happening...? How could everything turn out like this? How did Cedric get tangled in this mess? Hadn’t he and Zion discussed this properly? They had eliminated every single hindrance that would stand in their way. There was no way this plan would ever fail...
His sight was blocked and Regius slowly lifted his head to see a pair of blazing golden eyes filled with nothing but shimmering murderous intent. "Just you wait." Moshe whispered in a voice only the both of them could hear.
Regius shivered from the implication behind his words. Panic and terror flooded his heart. Done, done, done, he was done for! There was no way Moshe would let him live to see the sunrise tomorrow. His breathing quickened and his pupils dilated. If he was going to die, then he would rather bring Moshe down with him! The grip around his arms had gotten lax because the guards thought he had given up and Regius took advantage of that lapse to tear himself away and lunged forward, pulling out the trump card hidden in his pocket.
"GO TO HELL, MOSHE—!"
