Chapter 767: Chapter 767 Silent Killing Intent

The crow-like figure was burly, tipping the scales at over two hundred pounds. As an external martial arts expert, his Horizontal Training had endowed him with extraordinary strength. If the crow’s foot had landed squarely, it truly could have stomped a person to death.

At the critical juncture,

Li Fengtu, who seemed to have passed out, suddenly lifted his hand and blocked the crow’s foot, powered from his waist, and spun on the stage like a top, sweeping the crow’s other leg.

Instability seized the crow’s center of gravity in an instant, his hand touching down as he toppled backwards. Li Feng took advantage of the momentum to spring to his feet, pushing off with the tip of his foot, pouncing toward the dancer like a cheetah.

At that moment, the dancer had just released Dong Xin, standing aside waiting to watch the crow stomp Li Feng to death and walk away after completing the job. Her mind was relaxed.

Never had the dancer anticipated that Li Feng, battered and bleeding from the nose by the crow, was still fully conscious. After all, a punch from the crow to someone’s head would, at the very least, result in severe concussion, and at worse, death.

It was too late for the dancer to try to grab Dong Xin as a human shield again. Seeing Li Feng’s ferocious face pouncing, the onrushing intent to kill caused her heart to surge with fear.

She couldn’t even move.

The adversary was truly terrifying.

But in that split second, a sudden change occurred.

From the corridor leading to the Boxing Club, a silent deathly intent cut through the air. Li Feng’s hair stood on end. A life-and-death crisis welled up from the bottom of his heart, and his body instinctively twisted mid-air into a roll.

Pfft.

A splash of blood blossomed in mid-air.

Seeing Li Feng flipping from behind her and falling, the dancer found herself engulfed by the killer intent. The almost stagnant air suddenly came to life, with the dancer gasping for breath, her body finally able to move again.

Just now, she too had glimpsed a flash of cold light, turning her head to look down the corridor connecting to the Boxing Club’s hall. The corridor was pitch-black, revealing not a single shadow, but the dancer knew someone was hiding there.

The Hermit.

Speaking of which, this Hermit really had a way of being inconspicuous. When sitting in the same vehicle, she couldn’t sense his presence, but now that the Hermit had taken action, it sent a shiver down her spine.

This Hermit was a true master.

"Hermit, nicely done, you’ve made the first achievement this time," the dancer said, turning to look at Li Feng who had been hit by the crossbow arrow. Surely this Mr. Li was beyond saving now.

Hmm?

The dancer had only turned around when a flash of cold light glimmered; a crossbow arrow penetrated the dancer’s throat. She stared wide-eyed, face full of disbelief.

Li Feng stood up from the platform. An exuberant Dong Xin looked at him, "Get under the stage."

Li Feng’s gaze was coldly fixed on the corridor.

That instant just now, Li Feng had nearly died by that crossbow arrow. Li Feng had a strong sixth sense, especially when it came to life-and-death instincts, but just then, he hadn’t sensed any murderous intent.

Not until the crossbow arrow was released did Li Feng notice it.

It truly had been a split-second rescue. If not for Li Feng’s almost instinctual response, that arrow would surely have pierced through Li Feng’s heart via his armpit.

And now, Li Feng still couldn’t sense the slightest amount of deathly intent from the corridor, whether the opponent was still there.

Gone or still waiting in the darkness.

This was the first time Li Feng had encountered such a tricky assassin.

The Hermit hidden in the corridor frowned upon seeing Li Feng alive on the platform, having failed with that previous arrow.

The Hermit silently loaded another arrow onto the crossbow in his hands, then raised his eyes to look at Li Feng who stood on the stage like a target.

Finger pulled the trigger.

The crossbow arrow, turned into a cold star, soundlessly shot toward Li Feng.

Li Feng huffed disdainfully, grabbing the incoming crossbow arrow with his hand, his palm smeared with its blood, as the arrowhead stopped an inch from his chest.

The moment the crossbow arrow aimed, Li Feng felt the killing intent.

"Again!"

Li Feng looked toward the corridor and called out loudly.

The Hermit watched Li Feng catching the crossbow arrows with his bare hands, turned around. There was no chance left. The first arrow didn’t kill Li Feng, and even though he wanted to try a second one, once he saw Li Feng catching an arrow barehanded, he knew it was pointless to continue.

The Hermit threw away the crossbow and exited the Boxing Club.

Li Feng waited for a long while but there was no movement—still, he did not dare to let down his guard until he heard footsteps from the corridor.

"Young Master."

The Dragon Guards bodyguards, lying in ambush nearby, appeared in the club.

Li Feng, seeing the bodyguards arrive, asked, "Did you not find anyone in the corridor?"

"Young Master, we only found a crossbow. We didn’t discover anyone after we entered," one of the bodyguards reported.

Li Feng’s eyes narrowed. No one was found. Xinxin Boxing Club has only a front hall and corridor from the main entrance to the inside, with changing rooms and a bathing area to the left and right.

"Search, there’s another assassin. Be careful."

"Yes."

Most of the bodyguards began to sweep the area, while a few others came to the ring where two subdued the Crow and two more tended to the aftermath.

"Young Master, we found this group’s accomplices outside the door and are currently in pursuit."

"Mmm."

Li Feng nodded.

Actually, he had felt like someone was persistently following him for a while now. When he had gone to De Sheng building and was shopping at the mall with Zhou Zhishan and Liu Xuan, he felt like he was being tracked, but when he tried to trace them, he couldn’t find his target.

Keep in mind, Li Feng’s counter-tracking skills were professional.

Immediately, Li Feng thought of the roadside assassination attempt earlier. The enemies had set up a major accident, which ultimately failed—perhaps those stalking him now were the same group.

Dong Xin had called him to Xinxin Boxing Club, and Li Feng had willingly baited himself to set a trap, not expecting to actually catch a big fish.

They had captured a live one, and he sent his bodyguards to extract information. Turning, Li Feng hopped down from the ring to check on Dong Xin, "Are you alright?"

Dong Xin looked at Li Feng and shook her head, "I’m fine, it’s all my fault. If it weren’t for me, you wouldn’t have been injured so severely."

Biting her lip, Dong Xin knew that if she hadn’t been a hindrance, Li Feng would not have stood still and taken the hits. Even though this Crow was big and strong, Li Feng had defeated champions in the ring.

"What are you saying? It’s ridiculous. The assassins came for me, and if anyone should apologize, it’s me. If anything had happened to you, I wouldn’t have been able to forgive myself."

"Do you have a first aid kit here? Ouch."

Li Feng exclaimed in pain, directing Dong Xin’s attention elsewhere.

"I’ll go get it right now."

Dong Xin immediately went to get a medical kit. Inside the Boxing Club, there was a dedicated medical room—after all, injuries were common in boxing, so Dong Xin had plenty of medication for bruises and sprains.

"Young Master."

"What is it?"

"We lost them. The enemy had hidden backup, and they managed to escape," a Dragon Guard bodyguard reported, somewhat shamefacedly, to Li Feng.

"Oh."

Li Feng’s gaze flickered. The enemy had managed to escape even under the pursuit of his Dragon Guard bodyguards. They were no simple foe.

"We must extract information from that Crow. I want to see who is trying to kill me!"

"Yes!"
