Chapter 633: Chapter 633: The Golden Decree
Lin Wanzhou looked at Li Feng, the corners of his mouth curling into a slight smile.
"I need only one sentence to seal the deal."
Li Feng sneered repeatedly, and Chen Muyang, standing behind Lin Wanzhou, also sneered coldly, "Li Feng, I advise you to obediently hand over Century Group, or else be careful that all your efforts are wasted, and in the end, you gain no advantage and even lose your life in vain."
"Are you threatening me?"
Li Feng looked up at Chen Muyang.
"I’ve heard this threat from you no less than three or five times, yet here I still stand, while you’ve become nothing but a eunuch’s lackey."
"You don’t actually think that by clinging to this so-called ’Longevity Tao Sect’ crap, you really have the confidence to snatch the Century Group?"
Li Feng’s face was full of contempt; he truly didn’t understand how Chen Muyang could believe in charlatans claiming they could help him take back Century Group.
The Longevity Dao.
Heh.
Just by hearing the name, one can tell that the other party is a "master," even conjuring up immortality, really thinking they could achieve immortality and ask about the Dao.
Such things might deceive some superstitious folks. Li Feng’s grandmother was even called a ’Living Immortal’, and he asked her if immortals really existed in this world.
His grandmother told him that there were no immortals in this world; all that existed were people’s pursuit of elusive illusions, and the so-called seeking of immortality was out of fear of death.
As for asking about the Dao, it was nothing but a yearning for the void.
And as for being immortal, whoever believed that was an idiot.
But even so, there were still countless people pursuing longevity, cultivating immortality, seeking transcendence.
Bullshit Longevity Sect.
Upon hearing this line, Lin Wanzhou raised an eyebrow, and Chen Muyang gave a cold sneer as if his scheme had succeeded.
Lin Wanzhou looked at Li Feng; "It seems you don’t believe in fate."
"Hmph, looking at your complexion, with a superficial appearance and a dim forehand, it is entirely indicative of a short-lived destiny. Sooner or later, you will die at the hands of a woman."
Lin Wanzhou’s gaze swept over Dong Xin, who was standing behind Li Feng; such a woman with a figure that truly tempted body and soul. No wonder the man before him looked so feeble.
Such a ravishing beauty.
"Miss, your facial features seem quite tough; any man who is with you won’t end up with a good fate."
Dong Xin furrowed her brows, her almond eyes glaring at Lin Wanzhou.
Chen Muyang sneered from the side: "You shouldn’t disbelieve it, Master Lin has never been wrong when reading faces. Outside, countless people are willing to pay millions just for a word from the master."
Dong Xin stepped forward.
"Really? Then is there any way to break this?"
Li Feng turned his head to look at Dong Xin, who was pretending to be a demure woman. What was she up to? Lin Wanzhou saw Dong Xin’s eager expression and seemed to have hit the nail on the head.
Dealing with such a woman, wanting to live a long life is tough.
Why did emperors die early? Too many women in the harem.
"If you’re thinking of breaking the fate, of course there’s a way. However, the secrets of heaven must not be revealed. I’d have to give you a good reading, which might even consume some of my magical power."
Master Lin’s eyes narrowed as they swept over the proud figure of Dong Xin.
Dong Xin, looking at Master Lin’s lustful eyes: "Should I book a room then, so the master can take a good, close look?"
"If it’s like that, it would indeed be even better."
Lin Wanzhou hadn’t expected this woman to play along so readily, but just then, Dong Xin’s expression suddenly turned cold, and she fiercely slapped him across the face.
Smack.
Lin Wanzhou was completely caught off guard as he was just hit; after all, just a moment ago, the woman had a facade of offering herself, but in the blink of an eye, she had changed her tune.
"You, you dare to hit Master Lin? You must be crazy, woman."
Chen Muyang glared at Dong Xin, this woman was truly unaware of her blessings – how many women would kill for the chance to throw themselves at someone like him, yet never had the opportunity.
Those big and small stars in the entertainment industry, each and everyone wanted to be graced by Lin’s light; however, I must admit the woman before me is indeed quite something. If I were still a man, I’d want to take her for myself.
Thinking of this, Chen Muyang was again filled with resentment and bitterness as he shot a poisonous look towards Li Feng – if it weren’t for him, he wouldn’t have become a eunuch.
Dong Xin spat in disdain, "Beat him? I’d kick him too."
"What are you all waiting for, grab her!"
Chen Muyang shouted.
Snap.
Just as the bodyguards were about to move, Li Feng, sitting at the bar, grabbed a tiny cocktail umbrella toothpick and, with a flick of his wrist, unleashed his Dark Strength.
Like planting mushrooms, the tiny umbrellas pierced the throats of several bodyguards; they felt a sharp pain in their necks and turned their heads to look aside.
Hiss.
A cocktail umbrella stuck in the neck of each man, and one of them immediately tried to reach for it.
Li Feng spoke up,
"Best not to touch that. You can still be saved if you go to the hospital now – but if you pull it out, blood will fill your windpipe and you’ll struggle to breathe. You won’t last three minutes before you die."
"Of course, if you don’t believe me, feel free to give it a try."
The bodyguards looked at each other, feeling the extreme discomfort in their throats, unable even to speak, and concerning their very lives, they decided to err on the side of caution.
Chen Muyang had not expected the bodyguards to be so easily intimidated by Li Feng, and then there was Lin, who Dong Xin had kicked to the ground with one foot.
"Master Lin."
"Get out of my sight!"
Dong Xin, like a fierce leopardess, dared anyone to say she hexed men – clearly not valuing their lives.
Lin Wanzhou, helped up by Chen Muyang, looked up at Dong Xin, "You wait for me. There will come a time when you regret this."
Li Feng watched as Lin Wanzhou and Chen Muyang beat a hasty retreat; getting up, he slid his arm around Dong Xin’s waist from behind, "Why get angry over people like this?"
"Who says I’m angry? It’s just that it doesn’t sit well with me."
Dong Xin turned to look at Li Feng, "But now that he mentions it, I realize you do look a bit pale. What’s the matter – have you been too happy to think of home lately, leaving you a bit ’deficient’?"
"Hit the nail on the head, did I?"
Li Feng sharply inhaled a cold breath.
Dong Xin pushed Li Feng back with force.
Outside the small tavern, Lin Wanzhou was seething with rage, while Chen Muyang added fuel to the fire, "Master Lin, this Li Feng is just incorrigible. You saw it yourself; he doesn’t respect you at all."
"Moreover, he deliberately let that woman slap Master Lin across the face. It’s unbearable."
Lin Wanzhou’s face darkened as he glared at Chen Muyang.
"Don’t try to provoke me further."
Chen Muyang looked at Lin Wanzhou and shuddered; was he really going to just stand this?
Lin Wanzhou coldly huffed.
"You’re right. This Li Feng is indeed like a stone in a ditch – smelly and hard; how dare he not take my Longevity Tao Sect seriously. Hmph."
"And that woman, daring to slap my face and even kick me. If I don’t tame her into submission, then I, Lin Wanzhou, am not the Master Lin of the Longevity Dao."
"Come here."
"Master Lin, what are your orders?"
Inside the tavern, the tables had turned and Li Feng took in a sharp breath, "Stop it, do you want to kill me?"
"Humph, didn’t Master Lin say it himself? That you’d die on a woman’s belly. I wouldn’t mind being that woman."
