Chapter 584: Chapter 584: Relevant Departments

South Palace Museum.

As soon as these five words were uttered, the media reporters present exploded once again, "Damn, people from the South Palace Museum have come; this obviously isn’t a hype stunt."

Moreover, the other party had exposed their own name, and someone immediately looked it up on their phone.

In the information age, checking someone’s background is a matter of minutes.

"Chen Yu, served as the director of the South Palace Museum for twenty-seven years, retired fifteen years ago, then was rehired, the chairman of the Jin City Cultural Relics Association, Jin City...!"

As this reporter read out that long list of titles, it was clear that this person was real, and not just anybody, but a person of great importance.

Immediately, the surrounding reporters all became excited.

The other elderly individuals present also started to announce their credentials one by one. After a check, it seemed that their gaze towards these elders changed; they weren’t just ordinary experts, but authorities, towering figures in the antique and cultural relics world.

"May I ask, Advisor Chen, what is the origin of this Sleeping Beauty, and what’s special about her?"

At the moment, the Crystal Coffin was guarded by eight Dragon Tooth Warriors. Besides a few elders, everyone else had to stand one zhang (approximately 3.3 meters) away, so the reporters could only see the Crystal Coffin, unable to make out the contents clearly.

"The precise origin of this Sleeping Beauty is still to be determined, but I can responsibly say that the person inside the Crystal Coffin is from two thousand years ago, likely the Queen of Lan Country. Inside this Crystal Coffin, there are a variety of national treasure-level relics, which are of immense significance for the study of Lan Country’s civilization."

"As for what’s special, have you seen an ancient person who, after two thousand years, still has their looks intact?"

Upon hearing this, the media reporters were all shocked.

"Two thousand years, and still looking the same."

Jiang Linda was adept at timing and immediately released a holographic image. Previously, many reporters were unable to see the person in the Crystal Coffin, but through projection, the person inside the coffin appeared as if standing up.

"Hisss!"

"Really, her looks are still intact."

"Such a beautiful woman."

"The Queen of Lan Country from two thousand years ago, so beautiful."

"F*ck, now I get why that fatso insisted on calling her his wife. That sick bastard, how dare he defile my goddess."

"Quick, take pictures."

The photographers frantically pressed their camera buttons; this was a huge news story, absolutely huge.

Just as these reporters were about to go crazy, outside the exhibition hall, two cars arrived. Several officials from the relevant departments got out and walked straight into the exhibition hall.

"Excuse me, please make way, everyone."

"Who is in charge here?"

"I am," Jiang Linda stepped forward.

"I am formally notifying you that some of the exhibited items are related to national treasures. We now suspect the origins of these items, and we need to take these cultural relics away for protection."

"Here’s the documentation, please cooperate."

Jiang Linda had anticipated this kind of situation, but she did not expect it to come so quickly.

"Tch, the authorities sure got here quickly."

"That goes without saying, anybody but a fool would know the value of these cultural relics is immense. But the Crystal Coffin of Lan Country’s Queen, this clearly wasn’t obtained through legitimate channels. It’s probably dug up from tomb raiding."

"If it were me, I’d hide it well, instead of daring to show it off."

Jiang Linda furrowed her brow.

"You don’t have the right to do this."

"Heh, of course we have the right. We are protecting national treasures, and besides, did you not know that it is forbidden to buy and sell national treasures?"

The middle-aged official from the department looked coldly at Jiang Linda.

"All members of the press are here. These cultural relics belong to the nation, and the origins of these items are highly questionable. According to the relevant laws and regulations, we will lawfully seal these cultural relics and trace their origins. If it is proven that the origins of these items are problematic, we have the right to legally decide the fate of these relics."

"Place the seal."

The employees behind the middle-aged man immediately took the seals and were about to start sealing, and Jiang Linda could not stop them.

But as the employees tried to break through the guard and move forward, they were directly stopped.

"Move aside."

"What, are you still trying to obstruct law enforcement?"

"This area is off-limits."

"Hmph, stand back." One of the employees reached out to push a security guard, but as soon as he touched him, there was a cracking sound.

Ah!

The employee’s wrist was instantly broken. The guard kicked him, and the man flew out.

In an instant, the place went quiet.

"Quick, get it on camera."

"How dare you assault someone."

"This stuff all belongs to our boss, anyone who dares to touch it, kill without mercy!"

Upon hearing the words "kill without mercy," the middle-aged man let out a cold snort, "Kill without mercy, I’d like to see if you dare to kill me."

He took a seal from one of his subordinates and stepped forward.

"Let’s see if you have the guts to touch me."

The middle-aged man spoke and attempted to step over the cord held by the guards. Come on, stop me, he stood between the two guards, intending to continue forward.

The guard acted, reaching out and grabbing the middle-aged man by the collar and flinging him out.

Su Yuqing took a sharp breath. Seeing the security’s ruthless action, she turned to Jiang Linda, "This is going to cause trouble. Call Li Feng quickly, we can’t shoulder this kind of issue."

Jiang Linda nodded repeatedly and made the call to Li Feng.

But before she could say much, the call was cut off.

"What did he say?"

"He said he knows, and told us not to worry about anything." Jiang Linda bit her lip, wondering what Li Feng was planning.

"What’s going on?"

Beneath blush-stained cheeks, Wang Jin’er looked at Li Feng. Li Feng casually tossed aside the phone, gazing at the woman beneath him.

"It’s nothing. Leave it be." Li Feng leaned down and kissed Wang Jin’er on the lips.

"Mm."

"It’s still daytime."

Wang Jin’er propped up Li Feng with her hands, a look of shyness on her face.

"So what if it’s daytime? Who says it has to be at night?"

Li Feng moved to assert himself assertively, and Wang Jin’er’s resistance was futile.

"Call the police, someone call the police."

The middle-aged man was somewhat disheveled. He had never been so humiliated in his time working within the system, publicly thrown to the ground, utterly losing face.

Today, if he does not get the person who struck him put away, how would he continue in his position? And all these exhibits, they must be confiscated.

"Who’s calling the police now?"

Just then, a languid voice was heard.

Jiang Linda and Su Yuqing looked toward the source, and in came a girl who had returned with Li Feng. She looked as if she hadn’t woken up yet.

"Why is she here, still looking half-asleep?"

That damn Li Feng, if he isn’t coming, could it be because he can’t wake up?
