Urban's Fury: The War Dragon God -
Chapter 572: The Deal
Chapter 572: Chapter 572: The Deal
"They’re just street thugs, the street is chaotic, and not to mention thirty million Federation Coins, even three million would be enough for these dogs to turn on each other."
Li Feng snorted coldly.
"They really think we people from Yan Country are easy targets, eager to take a bite at us without fearing they’ll break their teeth."
An Xi looked at Li Feng’s disdainful expression, stood up, and walked alongside him, staring at him with burning eyes.
"Young Master, I have some locally recruited bodyguards here who are quite useful."
The scent coming from An Xi was intoxicating, and her fiery figure didn’t seem like that of an eighteen-year-old at all, to say nothing of her similarly explosive temper.
"Alright, go prepare."
Upon hearing Li Feng’s approval, An Xi excitedly lunged towards him, kissing him on the cheek and then standing up with a flushed face.
"I’ll go prepare right away."
An Xi hustled away; was this considered a successful turnaround? She hadn’t even pushed him away.
Li Feng watched An Xi run off.
"What a disaster."
Li Feng shook his head.
"You, come out."
Lv Jun shuddered as he saw several burly Caucasians appear in front of him, George simply gestured with his hand, and two strong men walked towards Lv Jun.
"Man, brothers, you just want money, right? My family is wealthy, please don’t rape me."
George looked at this skinny ’monkey’ devoid of any "backbone."
"Jun, don’t be so nervous, your father has sent someone for the transaction—money for your release."
"You’ll be free very soon."
"Really?" Jun lifted his eyes towards George.
"Of course it’s true, Jun, right now you’re our God of Wealth, we won’t do anything to you, but if your family doesn’t cooperate, there are many here who would enjoy your tender skin."
Lv Jun shuddered: "They will pay, as long as you let me go, my family will definitely pay."
"Let’s hope so."
George signaled something to his minions, and immediately they placed a sack over Jun’s head and carried him out of the room and stuffed him into a car.
Outside of Angel City lay an abandoned car lot.
The abandoned lot was not small, covering a hundred acres. Although next to a highway, there were no buildings nearby, and the lot was a maze of countless discarded cars.
A Ford drove into the abandoned car lot, and it wasn’t until someone popped their head out of the car and reported in with a walkie-talkie that they looked around and, ensuring no one was following, closed the gate.
"Eagle, Eagle, can you hear me?"
Inside the Ford, a man nicknamed Tiger spoke into a Bluetooth headset on his ear.
"I can hear you."
"Good, find the target first, make sure he is safe."
"Roger!"
There were only three people inside the Ford: Tiger, Wolf, and Fox.
"During the transaction, prioritize the target’s safety and then wait for my command—the most important thing is not to get arrested since we’re operating abroad."
"Understood."
Moments later, the Ford stopped at a building, and the trio, led by Tiger, got out of the car.
"Old K, they’ve only brought three men."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, our guys outside didn’t spot any reinforcements and all is normal at the police station. Seems these skinny runts are really afraid to die."
George glanced arrogantly at Old K beside him.
"Then let’s go meet them."
Old K walked outside.
"Do you speak English?"
"Yes." Tiger stepped forward to survey the weapons and the number of personnel from the opposing Triad.
"Did you bring the money?"
Fox turned and walked to the pickup truck, grabbed two leather cases from the back, and threw them onto the ground in the middle.
George immediately walked over, opened the cases, and took out the Franklin bills reeking of ink to confirm both cases contained real money.
"The money’s real, but here there’s only three million at most. We agreed to a price of thirty million."
George turned to the trio of Tiger, while the Triad members in the back readied their weapons.
The three men looked unfazed, gazing back at George.
"This three million is just a part, there’s more in the truck bed. But if you want the money, we need to see Young Master Jun first. We must confirm he is with you and still alive."
"Yan Country man, are you trying to make conditions with me?"
George sneered at the trio.
At that moment, Fox pulled out a grenade, yanking the pin—ready to let go and detonate at any moment.
Tiger looked up at George: "The truck bed doesn’t only contain thirty million Federation Coin but also enough weapons to make a point. Try us if you don’t believe it."
George cursed. These skinny monkeys were ruthless. Didn’t they fear blowing themselves up?
"Bring Jun here."
Old K ordered. In no time, Jun was dragged out by two Caucasian bouncers, who then removed the sack from his head.
"Are you guys sent by my dad to save me? Get me out of here quick."
Jun shouted at Tiger and the others.
The next second, a man sealed Jun’s mouth with tape, and Old K turned to the trio.
"He’s here."
"You let him go first."
"We need to verify the authenticity of the money in your truck first, Yan Country man, no tricks. This is Triad territory; you have to follow our rules."
Old K scoffed: "George, take your men to check."
George took several men towards the pickup as Fox pulled back the weapon, and they started unloading boxes from the truck bed.
Just then.
The walkie-talkie on Old K’s side abruptly sounded, a voice in panic, "Old K, bad news, someone’s infiltrating."
Old K’s face shadowed with a change, glaring coldly at the trio across.
"Try to be clever?"
Old K drew his pistol and aimed it at Jun’s head. Jun’s face was etched with terror, and he wet his pants.
"Mmm-mmm."
