Chapter 534: Chapter 534: Not a Single Good Man
At the Mingzhu Hotel’s café.
"This is the list of properties that Century Group is planning to sell."
Li Feng pushed the notebook across the table to Li Zidong, then picked up his coffee. Zidong took the notebook and started looking through it.
The information in the document was both valid and genuine.
To dismantle and sell off Century Group was a plan Li Feng had long before. Li Feng was wealthy but didn’t own many properties, so even if someone tried to investigate him, they wouldn’t find much.
Because there were simply no substantial properties in Li Feng’s name.
Without physical assets, Li Feng avoided conflicts of interest, but that didn’t mean he was broke. On the contrary, what he had most of was cash, making him the Hidden Dragon Crown Prince of Huacheng.
Cash flow was king.
To Li Feng, Century Group was nothing but an old man burdened with responsibilities. It was internally family-oriented with interests as numerous as cow hair. Despite having nearly a trillion in assets, its available cash was less than thirty billion.
The massive entity of Century Group was solely upheld by Chen Qinian. Chen had agreed swiftly to hand over Century to Li Feng after hearing about Li Feng’s reputation in Huacheng.
A tycoon holding massive capital.
That was why Chen had forged a brotherly bond with Li Feng, even willing to deliver Century right to Li Feng’s lap.
Century Group was due for a significant downsizing, a settled point in Li Feng’s discussions with Chen. What remained of Century would be left to Han Xue and her unborn child as promised by Li Feng.
Li Feng leisurely sipped his coffee while Zidong reviewed the assets for sale on the laptop. Notably, at the top of the list were several plots of land, the old factory areas of Century, not small in size and located in prime locations in the ever-changing Sea City.
Merely changing the land’s designated use and then reselling it could turn profits in the tens or hundreds of billions.
Zidong, although a prodigal, had sharp instincts from being born into the Li Family. He skimmed the list ten lines at a time. While many specifics were hard to pin down, the noted markers indicated a piece of exceedingly juicy meat, almost too tempting not to bite.
As for steel plants and shipyards listed at the bottom, Zidong found them uninteresting as these assets didn’t promise much profit and required significant effort, nowhere near the allure of the land.
"These you’re planning to sell."
Zidong’s eyes shone with greed and fervor as Li Feng shrugged, "Of course, but I fear you might not be able to handle it all. Besides, some influential figures from Sea City already approached me for the lands."
"So, to take these over, you need more than money; you need clout."
Zidong slammed the table, arrogantly looking at Li Feng, "Don’t mistake me, Li Zidong, for yourself. You might not have the clout, but who dares compete with me for what I covet?"
Li Feng smirked, "Zidong, you rely merely on the Li Family’s might. Wealth tempts hearts, and we’re not talking about millions or billions, but hundreds of billions."
"Sea City is not Jin City. Do you really think you can ignore everyone else?"
"Unless you pull in some partners."
"Here’s the document for now. You can get professionals to assess it. Don’t say later that I tricked you."
"Once you’re sure, contact me. I’ll be upstairs."
Li Feng put down his coffee, stood up, and walked away. This piece of fat meat was real, and handing such a great chunk to Zidong was naturally strategical.
The stakes were too high; he needed a gun, and Zidong was the fitting choice.
He went upstairs.
Li Feng opened the door, glanced at the living room, then headed to the bedroom. Just then, he heard the sound of water splashing in the bathroom.
"Knock knock."
Li Feng knocked on the bathroom door, and Xia Keke, inside, looked toward the door. "Is that you? Don’t come in, I’m taking a bath."
"I bought you some medicine, it might be useful,"
Li Feng said.
Xia Keke narrowed her eyes. "Wait for me a moment."
Li Feng stood at the door, hearing the sound of water growing louder inside, followed by the rushing sound of the shower.
After a while.
Xia Keke rinsed off the foam on her body, picked up a towel to wrap around herself, took a deep breath, and opened the bathroom door.
"Oh."
Xia Keke thought Li Feng had been outside the door all along, as men often have that sneaky quality. She turned and walked toward the living room.
Hearing the movement, Li Feng turned his head to look at Xia Keke wrapped in a towel, his eyes greedily sweeping over her.
Xia Keke, naturally aware of Li Feng’s burning gaze, walked with her long legs, like ivory, to the side and sat down on an armchair.
Making a direct move wouldn’t be a fair trade—not having style or being too easy for men, they wouldn’t cherish her.
She needed to stretch him out a bit.
"Aren’t you going to give me the medicine? Where is it?"
Li Feng directly took a small bottle from the table. "Menthol oil, it should be a little effective. Also, I bought you clothes. Go change into them; I might need to take you out later."
Li Feng looked somewhat domineering at Xia Keke.
Xia Keke hummed and looked up at Li Feng. "You bought me clothes and want to take me out?"
What is this nonsense?
Xia Keke was taken aback.
Li Feng stood up from the sofa and walked up to Xia Keke, looming over her, gazing at her sharp, snowy shoulders and her beautiful collarbones. He lifted Xia Keke’s chin and looked at her delicate face.
"Don’t you want to get close to me? I’m giving you a chance. After all, you are the National Goddess, the dream lover many men yearn for."
"The people we are going to meet later have a lot of influence. You should help me look good."
Li Feng looked at Xia Keke with a smirk.
Xia Keke met Li Feng’s somewhat domineering gaze and firmly said, "Okay, I won’t embarrass you, you can be sure of that."
If she couldn’t be taken out, then there weren’t many women in Yan Country who could.
"I like your confidence."
"Then I’ll go change," Xia Keke said as she was about to get up.
Li Feng smiled and pulled down, and the towel wrapped around Xia Keke slid off her silky skin.
"Ah!"
Xia Keke crossed her arms over her chest, glaring at Li Feng.
Li Feng looked at Xia Keke with a mischievous smile, suddenly turned around, walked to the sofa, sat down with a thump, and then looked at Xia Keke commandingly. "Change right here."
Xia Keke looked up at Li Feng, biting her teeth.
