Chapter 503: Chapter 503: Beauty, You’re Being Hypocritical
"Hisss!"
The gang leader wielding the cleaver gasped in shock as he felt it being grasped by a hand—bare-handed blade grabbing?
Li Feng smirked coldly and kicked the man in the abdomen. Instantaneously, the cleaver was wrestled from his grip, and he flew up, landing heavily on the stage, sprawled out on all fours.
Li Feng took hold of the cleaver’s handle and, with a backhanded sweep, executed a "Sweeping Thousands of Army" move. The blade skimmed over the necks of two men, a droplet of blood dancing on the chilly blade.
The two approaching thugs felt a chill on their necks and immediately got goosebumps; they sat down hard on the ground, frantically clutching their necks, hearts pounding with fear.
That was close.
Damn close. Their heads were nearly relocated.
Those two thugs felt a surge of relief at having narrowly escaped death, and upon raising their eyes to see Li Feng again, holding the cleaver, he looked just like the Death God wielding his scythe.
Terrifying.
Seeing things weren’t looking good, Zhou You tried to get up and run away, but Li Feng sensed Zhou You’s movement. He turned around and the cleaver flew from his hand, passing between Zhou You’s legs and sticking into the stage.
Zhou You’s legs gave out instantly, and he sat down on the stage with a thump, nearly pissing himself.
Li Feng swept his gaze toward the few thugs who didn’t dare approach: "Get lost."
Those thugs had already been petrified by Li Feng’s earlier display—their legs weakened from witnessing him disarm a man with a blade and nearly decapitate him. At Li Feng’s command, they retreated involuntarily.
Li Feng turned around and walked toward Zhou You, reaching between his legs to pull the cleaver from the stage.
"Stop!"
Just then, someone shouted for a halt, and the rich playboys scattered out of the way.
"Who is this woman?"
"No idea."
"Could she be Young Master Zhou’s woman? She’s quite Zhou Zheng, and the short hair really suits her."
Many people present didn’t recognize Zhou Yu. Zhou You was well-known in these circles, famous to everyone, but Zhou Yu rarely showed her face here. Besides, since she had previously served in the military, even if people knew of a daughter in the Zhou Family, they couldn’t match her with the one they were seeing.
Zhou Yu pushed through the crowd and sprinted onto the stage in a single bound.
Zhou You’s face changed as he looked at Zhou Yu: "Zhou Yu, didn’t I tell you to stay at home and not run around? Who let you come here?"
Zhou You’s expression darkened and shifted—he was utterly humiliated, imagining that his precious little sister had seen all of this.
Zhou Yu glanced at Zhou You, then suddenly turned, her expression complex, and said to Li Feng in a cold voice, "I don’t care what grudges you have with my brother, but you can’t kill him."
"Oh!"
Li Feng looked at Zhou Yu and stepped in front of her with a wicked smile, reaching out to lift her chin.
"Not kill him? There should be a reason for that, just because you say so?"
"It doesn’t seem like you have that much influence here," Li Feng taunted as he looked at Zhou Yu.
Zhou Yu swatted away Li Feng’s presumptuous hand and said through clenched teeth, "On what grounds? It’s because the law forbids killing. You’re committing a crime right now, do you understand?"
"And I’ve already called the police; they’ll be here any minute. If you don’t want to get arrested, I suggest you leave right now."
Zhou Yu stood her ground, staring intently at Li Feng.
Li Feng chuckled derisively, his laugh full of mockery.
"You speak so righteously. Murder is a crime, but where were you when your brother was the one killing?"
Li Feng took a step forward, almost pressing against Zhou Yu’s body.
"Just because he’s your brother, he can commit murder and you don’t care, but if I kill him, you come out to accuse me of breaking the law."
"Beauty, you’re really hypocritical."
"Li Feng, if you want to kill or maim, come at me. If I so much as frown, I’ll take your last name."
Zhou You watched as his sister was ridiculed by Li Feng and immediately stood up tall.
Li Feng suddenly turned around, stepping aside from Zhou Yu, and faced the tough Zhou You, swinging his blade in a swift motion.
"Don’t!"
Zhou Yu came back to her senses and saw the knife in Li Feng’s hand, knowing it was too late to stop him.
Zhou You’s eyes widened in horror as the knife bore down on him, and he shut his eyes, wondering if today was the day he would die in this place.
Li Feng’s knife stopped abruptly an inch from Zhou You’s forehead, its sharp edge leaving a hair-thin cut on his skin.
Zhou You felt a chill all over, and with a dry mouth and desperate breath, he plunked down on the ground, the suffocating fear from that knife stroke making him truly believe he was done for.
Li Feng looked at Zhou You gasping for air, casually tossed away the knife, and watched him with a cold sneer from above.
"Rest assured, I won’t kill you at this moment, this is your game, not mine."
"I gave you twenty-four hours to prepare, and that’s exactly twenty hours, but now, you’ve only got fourteen hours left."
"You can run, leave this city, even this country, but no matter where you flee, even to the ends of the earth, you won’t escape from the palm of my hand. If you don’t believe me, you’re welcome to try."
"So I suggest you do yourself a favor and take me out, because that’s the only way you’ll find peace. Bring some tougher people next time, not this bunch of riffraff who’ve never even killed anyone. It’s pretty lame, really."
After saying this, Li Feng stood up, "Tomorrow at noon, I’ll give you another call. Remember to pick up."
Li Feng turned back with a wicked smile, glanced at Zhou Yu without another word, and jumped off the stage, striding away under the watchful eyes of the crowd.
Dozens of thugs, armed with steel pipes, clubs, and even knives, were so intimidated that not a single one dared to advance, and even their gaze swerved away from Li Feng.
"Brother."
Zhou Yu watched Li Feng’s "arrogant" departure, extending her hand to help Zhou You up, "Brother, you have to tell me what this is all about. Otherwise, when I get home, I’m telling mom and dad."
Zhou You was taken aback.
"Don’t, how could you tattle like that? Also, did you actually call the police?"
Zhou You looked at Zhou Yu. In their circles, there were rules: you settle your own issues and never involve the police. If you did, it would be seen as a disgrace; someone who can’t settle their own problems doesn’t deserve to be part of the group.
This was far worse than losing face.
It was like a schoolkid who, when losing a fight, runs to tell their parents. It was a major taboo within their circle.
Zhou Yu rolled her eyes, "Of course, I didn’t call the police. I’m not stupid. Can you stop changing the subject? What is this really about?"
"Is it over a woman?"
Zhou You gave a bitter smile. He hadn’t expected Li Feng to be so tough, and his behavior was nothing like what the information had suggested.
"Is it really over a woman?"
Zhou Yu could tell from Zhou You’s expression that it was probably the case.
Zhou You shook his head, "It’s a matter that started over a woman, alright. I’ll handle it. You don’t need to worry." Zhou You was reluctant to say more.
He couldn’t admit that in Sea City, Li Feng had embarrassed him into running naked, making a fool of himself. And because he couldn’t swallow his pride, he had tried to have Li Feng killed, only for the tables to be turned with the assailant coming to his doorstep.
Wouldn’t that be even more humiliating?
