Urban's Fury: The War Dragon God
Chapter 485: Fake

Chapter 485: Chapter 485: Fake

"Shut up, all of you."

Li Feng shouted loudly, directly drowning out the cries of the Chen Family members present. His voice also drew the attention of everyone around.

"Damn it."

Jiang Linda had been with Li Feng for a while and had come to understand his character quite well. He certainly wasn’t the type to back down and look for a peaceful resolution.

"What are you yelling about, come and look, this bastard hit my great-grandmother. To bully a pregnant woman, he’s simply unfit to be human."

"Are you even human? How can you be so cold-blooded?"

A woman stepped forward, pointing her finger at Li Feng’s nose and cursing loudly. The Chen Family members, initially stunned into silence, regained their composure and joined the chorus of condemnation.

"Heh heh."

Chen Baoming watched the scene unfold with a cold smile in his heart. Li Feng was used to being domineering; he didn’t realize how terrifying a woman could be, especially the one who had stepped forward. She was over thirty but already infamous in her village for her shrewish behavior.

Her mouth was unforgiving when she was right, and even more ruthless when she wasn’t.

Try to fight me.

Chen Baoming smirked inwardly, and Jiang Linda grabbed Li Feng’s arm, "Li Feng, you mustn’t act rashly. They are deliberately provoking you to lash out."

Jiang Linda reminded Li Feng.

"Don’t worry, I won’t be rash," Li Feng assured Jiang Linda.

"Now you’re speechless. Did I hit a nerve? You wolf-hearted, bastard son of a bitch...!"

Li Feng looked at the finger pointing at his nose and, like lightning, he grabbed the finger and twisted it backward.

"Ah!"

A scream came from the other side.

Jiang Linda turned her head to see the shrew about to kneel down. Weren’t they agreed not to be impulsive? Why did he still strike?

This was exactly falling into the trap of the opposition.

"He’s hitting a woman, he’s hitting a woman, everyone come and look...!"

Chen Baoming’s lips curled up even more, delighted. Li Feng had indeed taken action, and that was all he wanted—for Li Feng to hit someone.

Smack.

Li Feng slapped the shrew across the face, and her wailing abruptly stopped.

"How dare you hit me."

The shrew was somewhat in disbelief.

"I did hit you. What about it?"

Li Feng looked coldly at her, "So you’re trying the tactic of crying, causing a scene, and threatening suicide, huh? Trying to set me up?"

"Alright then, let’s play this game."

The shrew looked at Li Feng’s arrogant manner. The script wasn’t supposed to go like this. Why wasn’t he following the usual pattern? Most people would be at their wit’s end facing such a scene.

"Did you have a miscarriage?"

Li Feng turned his head to look at the pregnant woman holding her belly, with quite a bit of blood on the ground: "Heh, you’re bleeding quite a lot, aren’t you? Your relatives really don’t care about you. From the time you started bleeding until now, not one of them thought to call emergency services for an ambulance, not even to help you up."

"Should I say your acting is bad, or should I say your popularity is too poor? Nobody cares that you’re hemorrhaging from a miscarriage."

"Hmm, is this pig’s blood?"

Li Feng squatted down, dipped his finger in the blood on the ground, then smelled it. He was very familiar with the scent of human blood and could tell right away.

"What are you talking about? This is real."

Li Feng looked up at her, "Real?"

He lifted his hand and grabbed her wrist abruptly, checking her pulse. The pregnant woman instinctively tried to pull away.

Li Fengtu sneered, Pregnant? His pulse-taking revealed no signs of pregnancy. Li Feng’s gaze swept over her belly, and the pregnant woman reflexively reached out to shield it.

Li Feng moved like lightning, his Finger Knife slicing through the fake pregnant woman’s outer garment, and then he grabbed the prop tied around her waist and yanked it down.

"Ah!"

The pregnant woman screamed in agony.

Li Feng, however, stood up and tossed the prop onto the ground: "The child you’re pretending to carry is quite the surprise, isn’t it?"

The moment he said that and stepped on it, a tube connected to the prop squirted out blood.

"Fake?"

Jiang Linda’s eyes bulged as she saw the prop under Li Feng’s foot that could even squirt blood, and the people around also widened their eyes.

"With this trick, I was almost fooled myself."

"Li Feng has a sharp eye; I didn’t notice anything off for a moment."

"But with this fake pregnant woman exposed, that old lady is still the real trouble. At her age, any little thing could go wrong, and getting involved means there’s no way to talk yourself out of it," someone in the crowd commented.

"Let’s see."

The people from the Chen Family felt a little embarrassed having been exposed so suddenly.

"Ouch, ouch."

The old lady on the ground suddenly groaned: "I can’t take it, I’m going to die, my chest hurts."

"Li Feng, my great-grandma has heart disease, yelling at her like that... I’m telling you, if anything happens to my great-grandma, you better be ready to pay with your life," someone from the family threatened.

Just then, the sound of a helicopter could be heard from outside, and many looked up to see Bai He organizing a space in the square in front of the funeral hall, making way for the helicopter to land.

After the helicopter had settled down, its door opened, and three people alighted.

Bai He greeted them and went straight to the mortuary hall.

Jiang Linda looked at the helicopter outside, then turned to look at Li Feng again. Was he the one who called for the helicopter?

"Young Master Feng, the guests have arrived," Bai He said.

Li Feng turned to look at the three arrivals: "Did you bring the stuff?"

"Everything’s here."

Jiang Linda curiously eyed the three individuals, wondering what kind of ace Li Feng still had up his sleeve given the current situation.

Li Feng took the document bag handed to him, skimmed through it in seconds, and then with a smile, looked towards the Chen family members opposite him.

"Do you know what I’m holding in my hand?"

"Hmph, no matter what you have, you won’t intimidate us," one of them retorted.

Li Feng directed his gaze to the woman who spoke stubbornly, his smile turning into a sneer: "Your name is Bai Juan, your husband’s name is Chen Badong, and he’s a dispatch supervisor for a logistics company under Century Group."

"Hmph, what are you trying to do, threaten me?"

"Threaten? You’re not worth it."

"I’m just informing you that your husband is suspected of embezzling 12 million, and what I have here is the evidence of his embezzlement."

"Oh, and everyone present has a share. Old lady, it seems you have three sons, two daughters, five grandsons, three grandkids from your daughters, plus three granddaughters and one granddaughter-in-law."

"Chen Hao, illegally embezzled 3.5 million, likes to gamble, also owes more than a million in usurious loans."

"Chen Ming, during his time working for a construction company, repeatedly accepted bribes from building materials suppliers amounting to over 20 million."

"Chen Xiaoyue, embezzled 5 million to play the stock market."

Li Feng read out the names one by one, and naturally, those from the Chen Family recognized these were all members of the old lady’s family, the added up numbers amounting almost to a hundred million.

"Shall I continue, or do you wonder how many years in court these pieces of evidence would earn you?"

"You, you!"

The old lady’s fingers trembled as she pointed at Li Feng.

"Now, stand up and leave. I can pretend this never happened. But if you, old lady, insist on causing me trouble, I don’t mind sending your entire family to prison."
