Chapter 429: Chapter 429: Toast not accepted, punishment drink taken

Dongfang Ding looked coldly at Li Feng, his aim was simple: he wanted Li Feng to be their dog for the Dongfang Family.

That’s right.

To be a dog.

Perhaps some people might think Dongfang Ding was being too presumptuous. Why should he say such things? But Dongfang Ding sneered inwardly, confident in his stance.

The Dongfang Family had not been rooted in Yan Country for long—just over two decades—but during the economic hardship in Yan Country, the Dongfang Family had established a considerable business in the Northern Federation. Later, as patriots, they returned and started laying out their business operations back in Yan Country.

Although the Dongfang Family didn’t show much on the surface, they had invested in many industries in Yan Country and still held considerable power abroad. The Dongfang Family was a true multinational financial group.

Perhaps in terms of local influence, the Dongfang Family didn’t match the Eight Families, but they weren’t far behind in terms of strength.

To the Dongfang family, an ordinary man like Li Feng was as insignificant as an ant. Despite Li Feng’s glamorous appearance yesterday, as if he was about to reach the pinnacle of life, in reality, he was nothing.

As for whether his words were too harsh, and Li Feng would dislike them.

Haha.

Who cares what a dog thinks? He just needs to understand one thing—disobedience leads to death.

"I think I understand now,"

Li Feng spoke.

"Understanding is good. Being a dog is not shameful; it at least shows you have value. I’m just afraid sometimes you don’t even qualify to be a dog."

Dongfang Ding curved the corners of his mouth, thinking Li Feng was quite sensible.

However, the next second,

Li Feng splashed a glass of white liquor directly onto Dongfang Ding’s face, catching him completely off guard and splashing into his eyes.

"What are you doing, Li Feng?"

Li Feng picked up another glass and splashed it onto Dongfang Ding’s face again: "I see you’re talking nonsense before you’re even drunk, so I thought I’d help you drink more."

Dongfang Ding stepped back several times, wiped his face, his breath heavy with the smell of liquor, and his face was flushed bright red from the drink he had earlier.

"Li Feng, this is rejecting a toast only to be forced to drink a forfeit,"

Li Feng looked at Dongfang Ding and sneered, "Your remarks about being a dog were quite insightful. How about your Dongfang Family becoming my dog instead?"

Dongfang Ding looked at Li Feng.

"Li Feng, do you realize what you’re saying?"

Li Feng smirked, "What, too drunk or hallucinating? Alright then, I’ll say it again. How about your Dongfang Family becomes my dog? I’ll throw you a few bones to gnaw on."

Dongfang Ding cursed.

"Li Feng, do you know the consequences of rejecting me?"

Li Feng chuckled, walking up to Dongfang Ding: "Consequences? Do you know the consequences of provoking me?"

As Li Feng spoke, he suddenly kicked Dongfang Ding in the chest, sending him flying backwards.

Dongfang Ding felt as if his internal organs had shifted, his stomach burning fiercely. He didn’t expect Li Feng to be such a ruthless man, completely ignorant of repercussions.

Who gave him the courage?

"Someone."

Dongfang Ding watched Li Feng approach and clutched his stomach as he yelled out. He had set up this ambush and naturally had a backup plan. He shouted, and the doors of the private room were suddenly pushed open.

"Ding, are you alright?"

"Who dares to mess with young master Ding? Are you tired of living?"

The speaker was the same person who had delivered the invitation to Myth Communication that morning. Seeing Dongfang Ding getting hit was the perfect moment to show his loyalty, especially since he had been holding his anger from the morning beating.

"Get them!"

Dongfang Ding’s ambush included quite a few people. Immediately, more than twenty men swarmed in—without a word, they began swinging their baseball bats and steel pipes, aiming indiscriminately at Li Feng.

Li Feng kept retreating until he reached a round table. A man’s club came swinging directly at him. Li Feng dodged to the side—the club hit the table instead. Li Feng grabbed a dish and slammed it onto the man’s face.

Next, Li Feng hooked a chair with his foot and pulled it along, causing one of his pursuers to crash into the chair and tumble to the ground.

Li Feng kept moving around the room. Each time he struck, someone would end up on the floor, unable to rise. Despite the number of opponents continuously closing in on him, Li Feng was not agitated; this scene was mere appetizers for him.

Li Feng was at ease, casually kiting his opponents around. Soon, the fierce assailants had diminished by more than half. Seeing fewer than ten people left, Li Feng suddenly scoffed coldly and switched from defense to offense.

The change in Li Feng’s rhythm caught the assailants off guard and three of them were instantly floored by him.

The remaining few realized that from their large group, only a few were left standing, while the others lay motionless on the ground, not even moaning, sweat breaking out on their foreheads instantly.

"Didn’t you just say I was asking for trouble? Come at me then!"

Li Feng walked towards them with a leisurely stroll; the opponents kept retreating.

"Get him, attack together."

Li Feng sneered, then sprinted forward. Seeing this, the opponents instinctively twisted around to run. Li Feng leapt and delivered a flying kick straight to one’s back.

Still thinking of running?

Dongfang Ding gulped nervously—how was this guy so good at fighting? He had set up so many people, yet they were wiped out in minutes. Realizing the situation was bad, Dongfang Ding clutched his stomach and scrambled out.

Li Feng, just you wait.

"Hey, isn’t that young master Ding? Why so disheveled?"

"Baili Hai."

Seeing Baili Hai, Dongfang Ding approached him, "Baili Hai, I was beaten up in your clubhouse. If you don’t handle this, you might as well close the clubhouse."

Baili Hai looked at Dongfang Ding, who reeked of alcohol, wondering who had offended him.

"Young master Ding, who did this to you?" Baili Hai was surprised but didn’t immediately agree to help, knowing that those who frequented his clubhouse were prominent figures of Sea City.

Besides, Dongfang Ding had powerful connections; the other party must have known this yet still left him in such a sorry state—was this someone he could afford to offend?

Baili Hai was not that foolish.

Dongfang Ding quickly saw Baili Hai’s hesitation and said directly, "Baili Hai, don’t play dumb with me. The guy who hit me has no background; I had invited him over thinking I could easily handle him, but it turns out the guy can really fight; he got the better of me."

"If you help me take him down this time, I owe you a favor," said Baili Hai, frowning.

"Young master Ding, you better not be lying to me."

"What do I gain from lying to you? If it were someone I couldn’t handle, do you think I would ask you for help?"

Dongfang Ding said irritably. Baili Hai thought about it—it made sense; those in their circle were no fools. If it had been someone more influential, he would have just gritted his teeth and endured, not fought back.

"Don’t worry, young master Ding. Someone dares to cause trouble in my Heavenly Palace, thinking I, Baili Hai, am a vegetarian?"
