Chapter 392: Chapter 392: Report to the Police
Li Feng’s entire body was pressing down on her, and Wang Qian could even feel Li Feng’s breathing, which made the somewhat sensitive Wang Qian blush and feel embarrassed.
"Don’t get me wrong."
"I didn’t want this either, but I’ve been hit with a tranquilizer dart and can’t move now. You need to slowly push me away; we’re in an underground parking lot, and those people will definitely come looking for us."
Upon hearing Li Feng’s words, Wang Qian immediately thought of the time she had been held hostage and Li Feng had been forced to surrender in order to save her. Although she didn’t know how Li Feng had managed to get away from those people, it certainly hadn’t been easy.
"Um, just lie there, I can handle it."
Wang Qian said with a flushed face.
Li Feng coughed, "My leg is still sticking out; you’ll need to help me pull it in."
"Ah."
"Oh, okay."
Wang Qian then reached out to push away Li Feng, who was lying on top of her. Li Feng seemed quite well-proportioned, but he was still quite heavy for Wang Qian. Given her difficult position to exert force, she could only manage to push him up a little before he collapsed back onto her.
"Don’t worry about me, just push me down."
Wang Qian stuck out her tongue, "I’ll do it bit by bit."
The backseat of the Mercedes was spacious, and since Wang Qian was slim, she quickly managed to pull Li Feng’s leg back inside and closed the door.
"What should we do now? Should we call the police?"
"No need, just take out my phone."
There was no need to call the police for such matters. Sometimes involving the police made things overly complicated. Wang Qian wasn’t far away, and calling him back would suffice.
"Okay."
Wang Qian nodded, reaching directly into Li Feng’s pocket.
"Did you get it?"
Wang Qian’s face turned a deeper shade of red as she withdrew her hand from Li Feng’s pocket, "It doesn’t seem to be in this pocket." Wang Qian glanced at Li Feng, hoping he hadn’t felt her touching something else.
This was so embarrassing.
Wang Qian quickly took out the phone from another pocket, unlocked it with Li Feng’s fingerprint, and quickly dialed Wang Qian’s number.
"What."
"Mr. Li, I’m coming right over."
"Damn it, Xiao Mingyue, that bitch, you want to start a war, huh? You’ve messed with the wrong person this time."
Wang Qian immediately ordered a U-turn, his face alternating between cloudiness and clarity. The driver, seeing his boss’s complex expression, dared not speak.
Their boss was notorious for having a smiling tiger demeanor – when the smiling tiger stopped smiling, that meant trouble was brewing.
"Who’s missing?"
"Yes, we just discovered that the second and fourth guys are all lying on the ground, and those two people are gone."
Upon hearing this news, the man in the clown mask grew visibly upset, "Alright, I got it. You guys pull back for now."
"The target has been hit with a tranquilizer dart; they couldn’t have gone far. Should we...?"
"Come back immediately."
The man in the clown mask promptly hung up his phone, still in the underground parking lot.
"Get the people in the car, we’re leaving."
Wang Qian quickly brought people to the underground garage and found Li Feng’s car, "Mr. Li, are you alright? Xiao Mingyue, that bitch, dares to harm you secretly. This is far from over; damn it, she really thinks she’s untouchable because of her background. I’ll deal with her grandmother."
"This wasn’t her doing."
"What?"
Wang Qian looked at Li Feng, "Mr. Li, if it wasn’t Xiao Mingyue, then who tried to harm you?"
Li Feng’s lips curled up; despite his body being paralyzed, his mind was still sharp, "Xiao Mingyue left less than half an hour ago. Even if she has a wide network in Sea City, it’s impossible to arrange so many assassins in such a short time."
"Moreover, those who came weren’t looking to kill me but were clearly aiming to capture me. What would she want with me alive? To humiliate me, or to make me kneel and surrender? She’s not that childish."
"I have an idea who’s behind this."
"Who, Mr. Li? Just tell me, and I’ll have someone take care of it right now."
"You don’t need to worry about this; just take me home first."
Knowing his boss was not one to change his mind, Wang Qian dutifully escorted Li Feng back to his place.
"What happened?"
"Oh, nothing much. Li bro was out drinking and got pretty drunk, so he’s a bit unsteady. Mom, help me hold him on that side."
Bai Yuting hurriedly supported Li Feng on his other side, and together with Wang Qian, they moved him to the bedroom.
"How did you get so drunk?"
"Who do I ask if you ask me? I just saw him stumbling around drunk on my way back." Wang Qian spun a tale effortlessly; she certainly wasn’t going to let her mother know about tonight’s "date."
"I’ll make some hangover soup."
Twenty minutes later, Sofia hurried home and rushed straight to the bedroom, "Master, are you alright?"
"Wang Qian, I need to speak with Sofia about something. Go check on the kitchen."
"Okay."
Wang Qian nodded and left as Li Feng turned to Sofia, "Did you find anything about what I asked you to investigate?"
"Master, I was just about to report on that. I paid a hefty sum on the underground market to Spider for some information."
"You were right. Chen Muyang did indeed issue a substantial bounty; it’s as high as thirty million, and the one who took the job is an organization called Zero."
"Oh?"
"I even spent extra to buy information about this organization. There isn’t much detail available. Zero rose to prominence seven years ago. Zero is an individual but also an organization, and Spider couldn’t find out more specific details."
"However, according to Spider’s information, this Zero has a hundred percent completion rate on their missions over these seven years. Yet, the methods they use to accomplish their tasks vary greatly, not like the usual assassins who just kill and be done with it."
"This Zero organization seems quite skilled at scheming, making each assassination look like various accidents so that no one would suspect this organization."
"Judging by the methods used, the two murders of the Chen Family match the style of Zero. Oh, and just yesterday, they also killed Han Xue’s younger brother, Han Fei."
"Afterwards, the video of the scene was uploaded to various platforms; I suspect it was done deliberately by them."
"They were trying to draw out Han Xue, but Han Xue is currently staying in a safe house, and ever since that last incident, she’s virtually cut off contact with the outside world."
"It seems they didn’t randomly target me. But my return to the country was very secretive; how did Zero find out?"
Li Feng did not like the feeling of being targeted in the shadows. The fact that someone could arrange such a meticulous plan meant they knew a lot about him, at the very least his whereabouts.
This Zero.
He was very displeased.
