Chapter 384: Chapter 384 Scumbag?

"You’re not moping around because of those rumors about Wang Qian, are you? I think those are just people who can’t eat grapes saying they’re sour. Why do you care so much?"

"But what if it’s true?"

Feng Yu said.

"True? That’s impossible, isn’t it?"

"I saw it with my own eyes."

Feng Yu handed his phone to his good buddy.

"Cough, maybe that’s her real brother?"

"Yeah, although Wang Qian never mentioned it, maybe it really is..."

Sea City Mingyue.

This was a well-known themed restaurant built over the river. The entire restaurant’s floor and walls were almost entirely made of glass. At night, the river water under the floor would reflect off the underwater spotlights, creating a beautiful scene.

Wang Qian followed Li Feng into the restaurant, where the waiter at the door greeted them warmly.

Welcome!

When the waiter looked up and saw Wang Qian standing behind Li Feng, there was a slight hint of surprise on his face, but he quickly reassumed a professional smile.

"Sir, do you have a reservation?"

"Yes, Li Feng."

Li Feng simply stated his name, and the waiter immediately remembered, "Ah, Mr. Li, this way, please."

The waiter led them into the dimly lit restaurant, which exuded a warm and slightly dark ambiance, instantly creating a mysterious dating atmosphere, especially the glass floor beneath their feet, which felt like something out of a fairy tale.

"So many jellyfish."

Wang Qian looked at the jellyfish underfoot with a face full of surprise. The floating jellyfish looked colorful under the spotlights, presenting a beautifully unique scene, and the restaurant seemed to have a wonderful atmosphere, with all the diners coming in pairs. Could this be a couples’ restaurant?

What does he mean by this?

Does he have feelings for me?

Wang Qian’s heart raced, and her cheeks flushed a little as she followed the waiter to their table—a riverside spot where they could see a 180-degree view of Sea City’s night river scene from the protruding balcony.

"Sir, would you like to order now?"

"Let her."

Li Feng had the waiter pass the menu to Wang Qian, "Don’t be polite with me, order whatever you like. Thank you for taking care of my daughter these past few days."

The waiter felt as if a llama raced through his mind, thinking how cruel this seemed, and whether this person was even human.

Wang Qian hummed, lowering her head to glance at the prices on the menu—none of the meals were cheap. She immediately chose two of the cheaper looking options.

"I’ll have these two."

Li Feng took the menu from her, quickly glanced at the two items Wang Qian chose—this girl had been clamoring for a feast, and now she chose the cheapest things available.

Li Feng immediately pointed to a few items on the menu.

"Uh, sir, would you like to order anything else?" the waiter wrote down Li Feng’s choices but couldn’t help but judge the man in front of him, who only ordered the cheap items. What kind of scumbag could woo young women? It was baffling.

"Besides what I just ordered, bring one of everything else."

"Ah!"

The waiter blinked in astonishment.

"What, did I not express myself clearly?" Li Feng frowned, looking at the waiter who coughed and said, "You mean, one of everything else besides those few items you just specified?"

"Exactly."

"Alright, alright."

The waiter nodded repeatedly, then turned around and sighed, "I knew it, this must be a big spender."

"How did you order so much? The stuff here seems a bit expensive."

Wang Qian whispered, noting that she and her mother were currently staying at Li Feng’s house, her own mother working as a caretaker, with herself being a burden. One word from him could kick them out.

Wang Qian’s somewhat willful behavior stemmed from when she had rejected a wealthy classmate’s pursuit by claiming Li Feng was her boyfriend, which led to the classmate spreading rumors about her at school, causing many to gossip.

Wang Qian was very angry but unable to explain, and as for Li Feng, he was inadvertently dragged into this, although she knew she couldn’t really blame him since she had sought his help to shield herself that day.

Wang Qian didn’t even understand her own feelings, especially when Li Feng hadn’t been home for a few days, she felt somewhat agitated.

It was as if he really was her boyfriend and was out having a good time.

"It’s okay, I can afford it once in a while."

Li Feng also felt a bit of a need to compensate, not only because Wang Qian had helped take care of his daughter, but also because his choice of this place had a hidden purpose, making him feel somewhat guilty.

Shortly, a waiter came over.

"Sir, someone just sent this over; they said you ordered it."

The waiter handed over a beautifully wrapped box to Li Feng, who grunted a response, then pushed the box towards Wang Qian.

"For you."

"Ah!"

Wang Qian was surprised, "For me? What is it?"

"Just open it and see."

Li Feng said.

With a shy expression, Wang Qian wasn’t expecting a gift. She reached out and opened the box, and upon opening it, a beautiful pink dress lay inside.

"Is this really for me?"

"You can’t wear a school uniform to dine here, go try it on."

Li Feng suggested as he looked at Wang Qian, who nodded vigorously, took the gift box, and headed towards the restroom, guided by the waiter.

Li Feng waited for about seven or eight minutes until Wang Qian came back, a bit embarrassed in the pink dress.

"How does it look, good?"

Li Feng looked up, and his eyes couldn’t help but light up. Wang Qian had inherited Bai Yuting’s looks and natural charm, becoming increasingly pleasing to the eye.

Even the waiter felt a tinge of envy and jealousy, thinking if only he had money, he’d also charm young girls.

Li Feng gave a thumbs up.

"Beautiful."

With a blush, Wang Qian sat down opposite Li Feng: "Thank you."

"Why thank me? I should be the one thanking you."

Before Li Feng could finish, out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a familiar figure approaching—it was Xiao Yu, clearly attracted by Wang Qian. He ignored the B-list actress who was with him and headed straight to their table.

As if he didn’t see Li Feng, Xiao Yu walked up to Wang Qian: "Beauty, may I get to know you? I’m Xiao Yu, here’s my business card."

Xiao Yu confidently extended a fancy business card towards Wang Qian.

"I’m sorry, I’m not interested."

Wang Qian coldly refused him.

"Beauty, don’t rush to reject. You’re beautiful and have a good figure, perfect for becoming a celebrity, and I just happen to run an entertainment company. If you’re interested in entering the industry, I can guide you."

Xiao Yu looked smugly at the pure and cold Wang Qian.

"You promised me, Mr. Yu."

The B-list actress Xiao Yu had shrugged off came forward, wrapping her arm around him and coquettishly complained, "She’s not as pretty as me."
