Chapter 368: Chapter 368: Discuss a Business Deal

The Kang Family Head’s pupils shrank instantly upon hearing the three words Li Feng uttered, his eyes bulging.

"No injustice in this loss, no injustice indeed!"

"Come on then."

Li Feng looked at the calm Kang Family Head, accepting his fate, then directly grabbed his neck and twisted it with a crack, ending the life of the powerful leader just like that.

Standing next to Kang Ling, Kang Ze’s breathing became rapid as he watched his father die, the formidable figure that had overshadowed him all his life was now dead just like that.

What made him even more curious was what the other party had whispered in his father’s ear.

Kang Ze glanced at Li Feng, who had turned his back, and suddenly reached for the pistol on his body in a swift motion. He didn’t want to just sit there and wait for death. To catch the thieves, first catch the king.

After all, Kang Ze was a high-status CEO in Sea City, commanding great power. Despite the disadvantageous situation, he wasn’t going to simply cower and be at someone else’s mercy.

Kang Ze drew his gun quickly, aiming directly at the back of Li Feng’s head: "Don’t move, or I’ll blow your head off."

The young man standing at the other end of the table covered his head: "Is it so bad to live? You just had to seek death."

This muttered comment was heard by all present, and in that fleeting moment, Li Feng, with a ghost-like agility, spun around in a half-turn.

Kang Ze’s instinctive response was to pull the trigger.

Bang.

The gun went off.

The bullet grazed Li Feng’s cheek and flew towards the ceiling of the bamboo house. Li Feng gave Kang Ze a cold smile, counter-grappling to break his wrist, then lifted his foot and kicked three inches below Kang Ze’s navel.

Thump.

Kang Ze fell to the ground, kneeling and sprawling before Li Feng like a toad, his intestines twisting with intense pain.

Gasping for air, Kang Ze tried to rise, but Li Feng simply stepped on his back.

Li Feng glanced at Kang Ze, feeling unimpressed: "Take him away. Let him fully confess to his life’s deeds."

"Got it, boss. We’ll make sure to dig up everything, even if he peeped at girls bathing."

Kang Ze was taken away, and Li Feng turned back to Kang Yu and Kang Cheng, finally resting his gaze on Kang Yu.

"Young Master Yu, we have some history between us."

Kang Yu looked at the man who had ruthlessly killed his father and had now subdued his decidedly unruly older brother, stepping on him. He dared not accept this address of ’Young Master Yu.’

"Let’s forget ’Young Master Yu.’ Just tell me straight, what do you want to do with me?" Kang Yu was no pushover.

"I want your properties in Sea City and all your illegal earnings over the years. I want it all," said Li Feng.

"You’re not called Zhao Chaotian, are you?"

Kang Yu’s sudden question seemed off-topic.

Li Feng smiled faintly: "I’m Li Feng."

"You’re that Hidden Dragon, Li Feng." Hearing Li Feng’s name, Kang Cheng on the side thought of someone.

"So it’s actually you."

Kang Cheng looked up at Li Feng: "Did you also kill my fifth brother, Kang Lan?"

Li Feng shrugged: "I did. Had no choice; he provoked me."

The Kang Family, if they knew their downfall was essentially over a woman, one wonders if they would die with their eyes open.

"So, because of my fifth brother, you decided to destroy the Kang Family?"

Li Feng looked at the shrewd Kang Cheng: "You’re indeed quite astute, hence the epithet ’Little Zhuge.’ Kang Lan was only part of the reason, and of course, you were a bit too lawless, crossing my bottom line."

"So, you deserve to die."

Kang Cheng took a deep breath and looked at Li Feng: "I won’t argue with you, but although I am a member of the Kang Family, I have never committed murder for profit, or even broken the law knowingly."

Li Feng narrowed his eyes at Kang Cheng.

"You want to live?"

Kang Cheng nodded: "Even insects fight for survival, let alone humans. You can send me back to Yan Country to be handed over to the police, and let the law judge my crimes. That’s my only condition."

"In exchange, I’ll tell you about the secret accounts full of black money and the location of the gold vaults my father has hidden over the years."

"I’ve been managing them all along, and the amount in there will definitely satisfy you."

Kang Cheng watched Li Feng’s facial expression, betting on the man’s pride.

"I really don’t like smart people," Li Feng said to Kang Cheng.

"However, it’s always pleasant to do business with smart people. I accept your terms."

Li Feng smirked, agreeing to the deal.

Kang Cheng breathed a sigh of relief.

Kang Yu heard Kang Cheng’s negotiation and inhaled deeply. Going back to face trial offered a chance to live, at least not to die.

"I’ll hand over the properties to you, but I also want to return home for trial."

Li Feng turned his head and glanced at the eager-to-agree Kang Yu, shrugged his shoulders, and said: "Considering our past, I agree."

"Take them away."

Li Feng waved his hand.

"Boss, are we really gonna send them back to their country?"

Li Feng looked at his brother next to him: "Heh, what are you worried about? Are you concerned that they’ll escape justice, or that they might still have the power to retaliate against me?"

"A bit of both, I guess. That Kang Yu is so-so, but Kang Cheng seems like a tough nut to crack."

"He’s a true smart person, and don’t you think it’s more interesting to have such a person around? Life wouldn’t be too boring then," Li Feng replied, patting his companion.

"Uh, boss, you didn’t use to think like this. You used to say the essence of life is being ordinary, and fighting and killing are the most boring."

"Today you’re unusually talkative. Do you need more practice? Go call those old men over for me," Li Feng said and then kicked out.

It wasn’t long before the elderly men, previously forced by the Kang Family Head, reappeared in the bamboo house. Seeing the dead Kang Ling and the executed three sons of the Kang Family, the old men couldn’t help but gasp, their gaze turning to Li Feng with his feet propped up on the table and inner musings stirring in their hearts.

"Let’s cut to the chase," said Li Feng. "You old guys have been doing business with the Kang Family. Now, you have a choice: do you want to live, or do you want to die?"

"Who wouldn’t choose to live if given the chance? It’s just that I don’t know what your conditions are to let us go."

Li Feng looked at the wise old men.

"Well, that depends on how much you’re willing to pay for safe passage. And since you’ve been mixed up with the Kang Family, you must have quite a few shady deals under the table, right?"

"Spill it."

Li Feng openly demanded, looking at the elderly men.

"Agreed, we’ll talk."
