Chapter 361 Tiger
Chapter 361: Chapter 361 Tiger
"Five hundred million, are you sure?"
Huang Zhong looked up at the burly, upright man in front of him. This man was the head of the Kang Family Bodyguard Team, known as Tiger, and true to his name, he was the most brutal and greedy among them.
Tiger narrowed his eyes at Huang Zhong, slightly skeptical. Opening with five hundred million definitely wasn’t Federation Coins, but even if it were Flame Country Currency it was still an enormous bounty, which would be equivalent to over sixty million Federation Coins.
Don’t think that being a mercenary is all high salaries, big earnings, and good benefits, in reality, an ordinary mercenary could make at most two or three hundred thousand Federation Coins a year, and only a bit more if they took part in some major operations.
Of course, a somewhat famous mercenary like him could earn a bit more, but at most a little over a million Federation Coins a year, which was his current annual salary as the captain of this island’s bodyguard team.
"Tiger boss, how could I dare to come to you with worthless currencies like Beihai Coins or Yue Shields?" Huang Zhong said. "The money I’m talking about is in Flame Country Currency, almost seventy million when converted to Federation Coins."
"And, I can transfer this money to your account right now."
This statement made Tiger swallow his greed instantly. He reached out and grabbed Huang Zhong’s collar, "Are you serious?"
"Absolutely, who would I dare to deceive if not you? When such a good deal came up, I thought of you first," Huang Zhong answered, sweat forming on his forehead as Tiger’s bloody aura made him quite uncomfortable.
"Haha, Huang, you really are my good brother."
Tiger’s large hand slapped Huang Zhong on the shoulder, almost knocking him down.
"But, you must give me some details."
Tiger wasn’t some brainless muscle, he wouldn’t have survived long in the mercenary world if he were. When someone was willing to pay such a high price for a murder, that person definitely wasn’t trivial.
Huang Zhong nodded, saying, "Tiger boss, there’s this guy who slept with a powerful scion’s sister-in-law back on the Mainland. This scion is quite influential and seems really fond of this sister-in-law, so he came to me wanting to take the guy out."
"Unexpectedly, this man knows Kung Fu. I threw him into the Duel Arena and damn it, he won two fights straight and even managed to escape."
"So this scion got really pissed off and is ready to shell out big money for this guy’s head."
"Knows Kung Fu?"
Tiger squinted, noticing his seriousness, Huang Zhong quickly added, "Tiger boss, no matter how good his Kung Fu is, it’s no match for bullets, right? Even if he’s fierce, he can’t stop the guns in your hands."
"Are you sure he has no weapons?"
"None. He was thrown into the Duel Arena, completely unarmed. Moreover, this guy is audacious; after escaping, he didn’t flee but instead directly went for the scion’s sister-in-law in the lounge. My men have been watching him; he’s still there."
Hearing this, Tiger’s lips curled into a fiendish smile, "Heh, this guy is indeed audacious. Does he think Paradise Island has no one on it?"
Tiger picked up the walkie-talkie on him, "Gros, there’s a five hundred thousand Federation Coins job, call a few brothers and come with me."
After speaking, Tiger looked at Huang Zhong, "Huang, your mouth should be quite tight, right?"
"Tiger boss, I haven’t heard a thing."
Huang Zhong snickered inwardly, nodding and bowing, internally scoffing at Tiger’s predictable greed, but it was perfect as the other party had prepaid five hundred million, with another five hundred million to follow upon completion of the job.
Moments later, Tiger led a small team of mercenaries directly to the Duel Arena.
"That’s the lounge."
Huang Zhong led the way, pointing to the lounge ahead; it obviously couldn’t compare to the soundproofing in hotel rooms. Standing outside, Tiger could hear the moans and groans from within, indicating a fierce battle was going on inside.
With a sneer, Tiger raised his hand, signaling, and two members of the combat team immediately kicked down the door of the lounge.
Bang.
The door was kicked open and the combat team burst in.
However, the lounge was empty.
Several mercenaries only found a mobile phone behind the sofa, its sound continuously playing in a loop.
Tiger strode into the private room with a sullen face, glanced at the mobile phone, and turned his head towards Huang Zhong, "Didn’t you say he was in this private room?"
"This!"
Huang Zhong was also taken aback. He never expected Li Feng to pull off a Golden Cicada Shells.
"Tiger boss, this guy is still on the island. He absolutely can’t escape. I’ll start a search right away."
Tiger grunted.
"Then make it quick."
After saying this, Tiger crushed the apple in his hand into mush and threw it on the floor.
"Ah, ah," Huang Zhong kept nodding in agreement, immediately took out his mobile phone, and called his subordinates: "Damn, why don’t you answer the phone."
The phone then buzzed twice and suddenly connected.
"Fuck, I asked you to watch him, where did you let him go? Find him immediately, right now!"
Huang Zhong yelled frantically into the phone.
"Are you looking for me?"
"You, how do you have my subordinate’s phone?" Huang Zhong gasped in shock.
"That’s a stupid question, obviously, I took it from your subordinate. Are you coming to find me, or should I come to find you?"
"Where are you?"
Huang Zhong asked again.
Standing behind Huang Zhong, Tiger wore a face dark as water. Huang Zhong might not have realized it, but Tiger did—the man on the phone was in the corridor.
Immediately, Tiger signaled to several of his men. The mercenaries nodded, stealthily approached the private room door, exchanged glances, and then burst out.
Just as these mercenaries rushed into the hallway and aimed their guns in the direction of the sound, they instinctively swallowed their saliva.
"Watch your back."
Before the mercenaries could even pull their triggers, they felt a chilling wind behind them. It was too late to dodge as a dozen Wild Wolves pounced on them. Even though these mercenaries were battle-hardened, they were still dumbfounded by the sudden appearance of the wolf pack.
Damn.
Where did these wolves come from?
They didn’t even have time to think as Siberian Wild Wolves knocked them to the ground, their sharp teeth tearing into them.
The mercenaries let out piercing screams.
Huang Zhong lifted his eyes towards the wolves outside the door, terrified, his legs giving way as he wet himself, "Fuck, how did these damn creatures escape?"
Huang Zhong’s face turned pale, and at that moment, a Wild Wolf that was on top of a mercenary turned its head towards him. Its greasy green eyes looked at him as if he were a grilled chicken, saliva dripping from the wolf’s mouth.
"Ah, ah!"
Huang Zhong tried to escape in panic, but in his flustered state, he tripped over himself and fell to the ground.
"Don’t, don’t come over."
